    Yosuke Hanamura's been through a lot. He couldn't protect Saki, nor could he protect anyone really. Not after this final betrayal, especially since it came from his supposed 'best friend'. It was like Yu Narukami had become an entirely different person, or maybe Yosuke never really knew him. That was why Yosuke moved to Tokyo to get away from the pain in Inaba, that was why a chance encounter with Tokuto Maruki and working in Shujin Academy allowed Yosuke to grow past his pain.

    Even if Yosuke couldn't protect his old life, he was sure that his new life was going to be protected.
