After coming back from their world tour, WayV finally had a long awaited break for two weeks before their schedules had started up again. During that time, Yangyang had regressed to his little space a lot more than he usually did, knowing he needed to relieve his stress from the world tour. Most of the time, Ten took care of him with no questions asked, seeing as he was his main caregiver and Yangyang unofficially dubbed him ‘mama’ in little space.
Ten was woken up by screams and loud cries one night coming from the room opposite of his. He immediately jumped from his bed and walked to Yangyang’s room where he heard the younger sniffling softly under his cover. He carefully walked over and said, “Baby? Are you okay? Do you want a hug?” “Mama?” “Yeah, it’s mama, come on let me see your face.” The younger looked out from under his covers to reveal big doe eyes with soft tear streaks on his cheeks. Ten immediately cooed and hugged his little tightly. The other just kept sniffling softly as he hugged back.
The little finally settled down after a while of Ten hugging him and whispering sweet words into his ears. “Did you have a nightmare?” The little nodded. “Do you wanna talk about it?” He shook his head silently. Ten checked the time on Yangyang’s alarm clock and realized it was only 6am. “Dada…” He turned back to the little as the other started tearing up again. “You wanna see dada? That might be hard…he might be busy.” Yangyang started to cry some more as he kept whispering, “Dada…dada…wan’a see dada.” Ten smiled and picked the little up in his arms. “Okay. Let’s go see dada.”
Luckily, NCT 127’s dorm was only two floors higher than WayV’s dorm. Ten carried Yangyang there in his arms until he rang the doorbell, setting the little down and holding his hand instead. Taeyong greeted them at the door, “Hey, you guys good?” “Is dada here by chance? This little one had a nightmare.” Taeyong immediately knew they were talking about Johnny and smiled softly saying, “Yeah, he’s still in his room. We have the day off, so feel free to stay as long as you need.” Taeyong looked between the little and his mama before fully opening the door.
They reached Johnny’s door and Ten opened his door carefully, knowing the other was a light sleeper. The oldest in the room was on his bed, scrolling through social media when he heard his door opened. He looked to see Ten, looking beyond exhausted and Yangyang, looking beyond upset. Yangyang ran to Johnny immediately upon seeing him and whispered softly as tears fell from his face, “Dada…dada…” “Hi baby, what’s wrong?” The older immediately said as he comforted the little by hugging him. “Ba’...ream” “Oh, you had a bad dream? It’s okay baby, come sleep with me and mama.” The little crawled into his bed immediately snuggled up to his dada before his breathing evened out and he fell asleep.
“Thanks babe, he was really upset earlier.” “It’s no problem babe, anything for our youngest baby.” They both snickered softly, Johnny not wanting to wake up the sleeping little. Ten held his hand softly and said, “I’m just gonna sleep on the floor. I had a long night.” “Of course babe, goodnight, love you.” “Love you too…”
When Ten woke back up, Johnny and Yangyang weren’t in the room anymore. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and walked out of the room. He saw Johnny playing with Yangyang and their other little, Haechan. It looked like they were playing with blocks and a marble run. “Mama!!” Haechan said and immediately ran to hug him. Ten hugged him back tightly and said, “Baby!! It’s so good to see you.” The little smiled up to him widely and said, “Look mama, I’m so good at the marble run!!” The little showed him the marble running down the track, to which Ten clapped with Haechan when it was done. “You’re so good at this baby, I’m so proud of you!”
The others continued to play as Ten went to make a simple breakfast of cereal. Once Ten was finished with his breakfast, he joined the others playing. Soon enough, Haechan and Johnny were running around the apartment while Ten played with Yangyang on the marble run. As Haechan and Johnny were running around, Haechan accidentally knocked down the marble run to which Yangyang started crying profusely. Ten went to comfort the little by patting his head and hugging him.
“Why is he crying? We can just build a new one.” Haechan said to his dada confusedly. “Well, Yangyang is younger than you, so he doesn’t know we can rebuild it. He’s really sensitive so try to be more careful around him, okay Haechannie?” Johnny said understandingly. Haechan nodded, but in reality he was still just mostly confused about Yangyang crying.
The older little grabbed Yangyang’s hand as he was crying against his mama and said, “It’s okay Yangyangie…let’s go play in my room!” The little immediately stopped crying and looked up at his brother and nodded as he let go of his mama. They walked hand in hand to Haechan’s playroom.
When they got to Haechan’s playroom, it was filled with bins full of different kinds of toys that most kids would like. They both played with toy trucks before Haechan and went to play with another toy. He swung a toy sword with a pointy end haphazardly around the room before he tripped on his leg thus thrusting the sword out of his hand and cutting Yangyang’s nose, causing it to start bleeding.
The younger stared crossed eyed at his nose before he started crying as loudly as he could. Johnny and Ten immediately ran into the room to ask what was wrong. Yangyang cried harder as his dada picked him up and went to take care of the wound. Ten went to stay with Haechan in his room, the other little looking surprised and kind of scared that he was going to be in trouble with his mama and dada.

Johnny carried the crying little out of Haechan’s room and set him down on the counter in their bathroom as he pulled out their first aid kit. The little settled his cries into soft sniffles as his dada smiled at him. “It’s okay baby, it’ll stop hurting in one minute, just let dada get some things.” The little nodded as he began to suck his thumb. Johnny got a spare pacifier Ten kept here just in case they ever came over for Yangyang from their bathroom cabinet and put it in the other’s mouth. Seeing as the little was silent and complied with Johnny, he figured he slipped into a younger headspace, maybe around 7-8 months.
“This is gonna sting a little baby, but it’s gonna be over soon okay. I’m gonna count to three and put it on, sound good?” The little nodded silently as his pacifier was still in his mouth. He put disinfectant on a q-tip and said, “Okay baby, one…two…three!” He dabbed the disinfectant quickly as the little’s nose scrunched up involuntarily and tears welled up in his eyes. “It’s okay baby! Look, it’s over, I’m just putting a bandaid on!” He quickly put a Pororo bandaid over the cut on his nose and smiled saying, “It’s done baby! You did so well, I’m so proud of you!”

Ten stayed in Haechan’s room so he could talk with the little patiently to see what happened. “Hey, Haechannie baby, can you tell mama what happened?” The little looked at him guiltily as he fidgeted with his fingers. Ten connected the dots and realized the little must be nervous he’s in trouble. “I promise mama isn’t angry with you, I just wanna know what happened. Can you tell me, baby?”
The little looked at him hesitantly as he kept fidgeting with his fingers and nodded silently. “Yangyangie and I were just playing with trucks…but then I got bored so I decided to play with my sword. Then…” The little paused hesitantly before continuing. “Then I tripped…and the sword fell out of my hand and accidentally cut Yangyangie. I swear it was an accident! I didn’t mean to do it at all!! I would never try to hurt Yangyangie like that…” Ten nodded silently as he listened before looking at the boy who had the cutest guilt-ridden expression on his face. He smiled and said, “I see. Thank you for telling mama, Haechannie. I know you didn’t mean to do it. Just remember to apologize to Yangyang, okay? I love you baby.” “I love you too mama.” Haechan said before hugging him tightly. “Come on, let’s go apologize to your brother.” Haechan nodded and held his mama’s hand as they walked out of his room.

Once Johnny was done treating Yangyang, he carried him out to their living room to play with blocks while the older made him a bottle of milk so he could take a nap. He saw Ten walking hand in hand with a teary, guilt-ridden Haechan. He smiled at the antics of the boy, understanding that it was probably an accident on the boy’s part.
Haechan immediately walked over to Yangyang playing with blocks and sat down with him. “Yangyangie…I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you. It was an accident. I love you Yangyangie. Can you forgive me?” He said as he fidgeted with his fingers, sparing glances at Yangyang playing with blocks. The youngest looked up to his older brother and babbled mindlessly as he smiled brightly. Haechan smiled back and hugged his baby brother tightly, as they continued to play with blocks.
Soon enough, Johnny was done making Yangyang’s bottle, and Ten had just finished making Haechan a sippy cup of milk too. Ten gave Yangyang his bottle, gently feeding it to him as he sat on his lap on the couch. Once the youngest little finished, he yawned loudly and smacked his lips as his eyes fluttered gently. He soon fell asleep in his mama’s lap peacefully. Once Haechan was done with his sippy cup, he climbed up on the couch as well, next to his mama and brother. If Ten saw Haechan curl up closer to his brother, no one would know but him. He smiled at the antics of his two boys, he knew they’d be just fine like this.
