Ever since a video of Nene beating a viral gamer in an arcade made it on social media, she’s been getting lots of popularity-real fast.
She took this chance to start a streaming channel of her own which became a hit.
Of course she knew the hardships that came with live-streaming. The haters and weird people..
But besides the point, it was something she enjoyed so why not? She liked to interact with her fans while doing something she loved to do.
As she sat on her gaming chair, headphones fixed on her head and her camera screen sharing with her viewers, everything was going just fine.
Her boyfriend sat on her bed, his purple hair tied up in a small ponytail with his phone in his hands.
Rui was overseeing Nene’s livestream chat for the day to make sure everything went smoothly.
She logged onto an FPS game that fans had been recently asking her to play.
Nene looked at her viewer count at the top right of her screen, close to reaching 11k viewers.
Once she logged on, the stream continued to gain more viewers as Nene played-people occasionally complimenting Nene and her skills.
“There’s one more person left, they’re hiding somewhere. What a coward,” A fellow teammate of Nene spoke through the mic.
Nene stayed silent as she focused on the screen intently trying to find the last remaining player on the map.
Her teammates all spread out so she was all alone. Even if she were to die from the hidden player she knew her teammates had her back.
Nene took a quick glance at the chat, comments flooding in fast.
They didn’t disappear immediately so Nene had time to read them which made her glad. She scrolled up with some rude remarks here and there but it wasn’t like she cared about it.

Nene visibly scrunched her face at that comment but said nothing.
At the corner of her eye she can see Rui tense up after seeing something possibly from her chat.
Nene knows Rui is responsible that whatever it was she knew he’ll block them from commenting.
She went back to the game as per usual, the player still in hiding amongst the big map that was chosen.
Until a sound effect of someone donating to her rang in her headphones, a message coming with it.

Nene’s eyes widened at the familiar username.
Her attention was removed from the game and was placed onto her boyfriend as he aggressively tapped on his phone.
What is Rui doing? Did he just donate me money? Nene began to panic until the victory sign appeared on her screen big and bold.
As she hurriedly left the game, Nene apologizes to her livestream and turns off her camera and mic.
Once it was off she stood in front of Rui who looked up to her.
“What was that?”
“Oh don’t worry Nene! I blocked them right after, just had to show them that you were taken.”
Nene internally sighed to herself as she placed a quick kiss on Rui’s cheek, making her way back towards her gaming set up.
She turned her camera back up and looked at her chat again.

Oh great so Rui was lying, he did not in fact block that person from the chat.
“Sorry guys another thing popped up,” Nene awkwardly laughs but turns off her mic this time, leaving the camera on.
“Rui?”
“Hm?” He looks up from his phone acting all innocent, a smile adorning his face.
“You know what nevermind,” Nene sighed for the umpteenth time as she turns on her mic again.
“Anyways thanks for waiting, hm, I guess this round I’ll go solo.”
As the round started Nene managed to get good materials fast and swiftly managed to kill some players with ease.
The people in the chat went crazy, giving donations left and right.
“Oh thank you for the donation Croljo gam,” Nene says as she kills another player, only five left remaining.
As she focused on the game keenly, an argument continued.

At this point Rui’s patience was running thin. He knew the best choice was to block this unknown person, but his ego couldn’t take it.
He looked at Nene who was busy shooting someone as she hid behind a wall on her screen.
Taking this chance, Rui donates another ¥2050 to his girlfriend.
He hastily typed out a message so he can alarm everyone in the livestream how much of an asshole whoever Croljo_gam was being.

Nene wanted to smack her head right now. She had to focus in the game in front of her but she had no time to block whoever Rui was arguing with in the chat.
She trusted Rui to monitor her chat when he was just arguing.
As she quickly kills another player, only 3 were left.
Nene used this chance to quickly hide in an isolated area so she could look at the chat.

Out of nowhere a player appeared in Nene’s screen, startling her. She was so distracted from Rui and Croljo’s argument she forgot she was playing.
“Shit,” Nene cursed as she equipped her fastest gun and got to high ground.
She aimed her weapon at the enemy as they approach her from the back.
Good thing Nene’s defense was strong. She luckily raised it at the beginning of the game.
As the player’s figure disappeared into tiny glowing cubes there was only one person remaining.

Shoot, why was Rui still donating me money? Nene thought to herself as she wandered around the deserted map.
A figure was caught running around a pole and Nene immediately sniped the last player with a headshot, a smile forming on her face as victory appeared on her screen once again.

Nene exited the lobby and returned to the home screen of the game.
She gets up from her chair and heads for the door outside, making Rui follow her curiously.
“Nene where are you going?”
Soon Rui and Nene faced each other, their eyes locked.
“I thought you said you were going to block the person in the chat, all you’ve just done is argue with them Rui, it’s not a good look on me,” Nene diverts her eye from her boyfriend.
“I’m sorry, that was immature of me. I promise I’ll be a better virtual bodyguard boyfriend for you.”
“No a better mod Rui. And stop donating me money! Where’d you even get all of it from?” Nene questioned as Rui wrapped his arms around her.
“Look,” Rui replied, “you don’t have to worry okay? I promise I’ll stop,” He placed a kiss on Nene’s lips as she reciprocated it back.
“Ok you better do it Rui, don’t argue with them.”
She approaches her computer once again and looks at the chat expecting Croljo_gam to be gone only to be met with the sight of 50k viewers on her stream.
And a barrage of comments.

This was the most chaotic livestream ever. Nene wanted to just delete her channel right then and there but she decided against it.
As she looked over to Rui who was sitting on her bed, he looked liked he was trying his best to hold in his laughter.
“My apologies everyone..” Blush appears on Nene’s face as she gives a light bow in front of the camera.
Comments were spammed and views skyrocketed, still going crazy as ever.
As the next day came around, Nene had been top on twitter. Her official profile as a gamer was now changed from relationship status unknown to in a relationship.
She did not expect all of this to happen but it seemed she would have to deal with it now.
Especially with Rui being overprotective as ever, not that she was ever mad at him of course.
