Chapter 1: Takemichi just having the worst Ex's

Chapter Text

Takemichi sat alone in his room, his heart heavy with conflicting emotions. He had fallen deeply in love with his best friend, Chifuyu, and his boyfriend, Baji. To his surprise, both Chifuyu and Baji had confessed their feelings for him, and he had accepted their confessions with hope and excitement. They had entered into a unique relationship, a beautiful trio that seemed to defy societal norms.

In the beginning, their relationship was everything Takemichi had ever dreamed of. Chifuyu and Baji were loving, caring, and attentive towards him. They included him in their plans and made him feel like an integral part of their lives. Takemichi felt truly cherished and believed that they had found something special.

However, as time passed, things began to change. Chifuyu and Baji became increasingly secretive, shutting Takemichi out of their intimate moments. They would make plans together without including him, and he was left feeling like an outsider in his own relationship. The warmth and love that had once enveloped him were replaced by an icy distance that gnawed at his soul.

To make matters worse, Takemichi couldn't escape the whispers of others. Rumors circulated that Chifuyu and Baji had only started dating him out of pity, feeling sorry for his lonely existence. The weight of these words pressed heavily upon Takemichi, fueling his growing doubts and insecurities.

The situation finally reached its boiling point when Chifuyu and Baji announced their plans for a luxurious cruise trip. Takemichi's heart sank as they revealed their excitement, not bothering to extend an invitation to him. Instead, they casually asked him to lock up the house when he returned to his own dwelling. It was a crushing blow, a tangible symbol of his diminishing importance in their lives.

As Baji and Chifuyu departed, Takemichi found himself alone, tears streaming down his face. He felt abandoned, betrayed, and utterly insignificant. The weight of his heartache became too much to bear, and he collapsed onto the floor, his sobs echoing through the empty house.

For a long night, Takemichi lay there, grappling with his emotions. Confusion, hurt, and a sense of worthlessness consumed him. How had things changed so drastically? Why had the love he once felt been replaced by neglect and exclusion?

Days turned into weeks, and Takemichi struggled to find solace in his shattered reality. He contemplated whether to confront Chifuyu and Baji or to let the relationship fade away silently. But deep down, he knew that he couldn't bear to lose them completely. They were his best friends after all, and the thought of life without them was unbearable.

Takemichi summoned all his courage and arranged a meeting with Baji and Chifuyu. His heart raced as he sat across from them, noticing how radiant and happy they appeared after their cruise trip. The sight tore at his already wounded heart, further emphasizing his feeling of being an outsider in their relationship.

"Hey, Takemichi," Baji greeted, a smile on his face. "We missed you! How have you been?"

Takemichi couldn't help but feel a pang of bitterness. "Missed me? It didn't seem like it when you left for the cruise without even inviting me. I felt like I didn't matter to you both anymore."

Chifuyu's expression softened, his voice filled with regret. "Takemichi, we're so sorry. It was thoughtless of us not to include you. We got caught up in the excitement and forgot about your feelings. Please believe that we didn't mean to hurt you."

Takemichi's eyes welled up with tears, his voice choked with emotion. "You promised things would change, that we would work on our relationship. But after a few months, we're back to square one. I feel like an afterthought, like you're just tolerating me. It hurts so much."

Baji and Chifuyu exchanged glances, their faces etched with remorse. "Takemichi, we truly meant every word when we apologized. We wanted to change, to make things better. We're sorry for falling back into old habits and neglecting your feelings once again."

Takemichi wiped away a tear, his voice filled with a mix of sadness and desperation. "I can't keep going through this cycle of hope and disappointment. I need more than empty promises. I need to feel loved, valued, and included in our relationship."

Baji reached out, taking Takemichi's hand in his. "Please, Takemichi, give us one more chance. We love you so much, and we don't want to lose you. We'll do better, we promise. Let's start over, and this time, we'll make sure you're an integral part of our lives."

Chifuyu nodded, his voice gentle and sincere. "You're right, Takemichi. We need to prove our commitment to you, not just with words but with actions. We'll be more conscious of your needs and make you feel cherished every day."

Takemichi hesitated, his heart torn between the love he felt for them and the fear of being hurt again. But ultimately, he couldn't deny the depth of their connection. "Okay, I'll give you one more chance. But please, don't let me down. I need to feel secure in our love."

In the following weeks, Baji and Chifuyu made a concerted effort to change their ways. They included Takemichi in their plans, shared intimate moments, and showered him with affection. It seemed as if their promises were finally being fulfilled, and Takemichi's heart soared with hope.

But as months passed by, old patterns began to resurface. The inclusion started to wane, and Takemichi felt himself slowly being pushed to the periphery once again. The pain intensified, crushing his spirit as the fear of being an outsider consumed him.

One evening, unable to bear the weight of his loneliness any longer, Takemichi confronted Baji and Chifuyu. His voice quivered with hurt and disappointment. "I can't believe you've gone back to treating me like an outsider. After everything we've been through, after all the promises you made, how could you do this to me?"

Baji and Chifuyu exchanged glances, their faces clouded with guilt. Chifuyu spoke first, his voice laden with remorse. "Takemichi, we never meant to hurt you again. We thought we had changed, but we failed. We're truly sorry for breaking our promises once more."

Takemichi's voice trembled, a mix of anger and heartache in his words. "How can I trust you again? How can I believe that you won't continue to make me feel like I don't matter?"

Baji reached out, his eyes filled with sincerity. "Takemichi, we know we've let you down, but please give us another chance. We love you more than anything, and we want to make things right. We'll work harder this time, and we won't let you feel like an outsider ever again."

Takemichi gazed into their eyes, searching for the truth behind their words. After a moment of silence, he sighed, the weight of his emotions still heavy upon him. "Okay, but this is your final chance. I want to believe that we can fix this, that our love is stronger than the pain."

Baji and Chifuyu nodded, determination etched on their faces. "We won't let you down again, Takemichi. We'll do whatever it takes to make you feel loved and included. Our actions will speak louder than any promises."

And so, with a mix of hope and trepidation, Takemichi gave them one final opportunity to prove their love.

Takemichi's heart raced with anxiety as he heard the whispers and rumors that began to circulate. The insidious words claimed that he was being cheated on, and the person involved was none other than Baji's childhood friend, Kazutora. Doubt and fear gnawed at Takemichi's soul, threatening to unravel the fragile trust he had painstakingly rebuilt.

Unable to bear the weight of uncertainty, Takemichi summoned the courage to confront Baji and Chifuyu. His voice quivered with a mix of desperation and longing. "Is it true? Are you cheating on me? Please, tell me it's not true."

Baji's face contorted with anguish, his eyes filled with sincerity. "Takemichi, I swear we're not cheating on you. Those rumors are false, baseless lies meant to tear us apart. You have to trust us."

Chifuyu's voice trembled as she reached out to touch Takemichi's hand. "We love you, Takemichi. We would never betray your trust like that. Please believe us. We're devoted to you."

Takemichi stared into their eyes, his heart a tumultuous storm of emotions. He wanted to trust them, to believe in their love, but the rumors echoed in his mind, casting a shadow of doubt over their words. "I want to believe you, but these rumors have shaken me to my core. I need some reassurance, some proof that you're telling the truth."

Baji's voice grew firm, determination etched on his face. "Takemichi, we'll do anything to prove our fidelity. Let us show you how much you mean to us, how committed we are to this relationship. We won't let these lies tear us apart."

Takemichi hesitated, his heart torn between his love for them and the fear of being hurt once more. After a moment of contemplation, he took a deep breath and nodded. "Okay, show me. Prove to me that I can trust you."

In the days that followed, Baji and Chifuyu went above and beyond to reassure Takemichi of their love and loyalty. They showered him with affection, constantly reassuring him of their commitment. They opened up their lives to him, allowing him to see the depth of their devotion firsthand.

For a while, Takemichi began to believe that the rumors were indeed false. He felt a renewed sense of security, basking in the love and attention he received from Baji and Chifuyu. The doubts that had plagued him started to fade, replaced by a flicker of hope for a future together.

But one fateful night, as Takemichi returned home earlier than expected, he discovered the painful truth. He stood frozen in the doorway, his heart shattering into a million pieces as he witnessed Baji and Chifuyu entangled intimately with Kazutora in their own bed.

Time stood still as the weight of betrayal crashed down upon Takemichi. His voice caught in his throat, unable to form words to express his pain. He felt like a mere spectator in his own life, his world crumbling around him.

Baji's face contorted with guilt and regret as he tried to speak. "Takemichi, it's not what it looks like. Please, let us explain."

But Takemichi's voice finally found its way out, filled with anguish and disbelief. "Explain? How can you explain this? I trusted you! I gave you my heart, and you've shattered it into pieces!"

Chifuyu's voice wavered, tears streaming down her face. "Takemichi, we never meant to hurt you. We made a mistake—a terrible, unforgivable mistake. Please, let us make it right."

But Takemichi could no longer bear to listen. The pain was too great, and the betrayal too deep. With tears streaming down his face, he turned and walked away, leaving behind the shattered remains of a relationship that was once filled with love and hope.
