Almost kiss
Hermione Granger/Draco Malfoy
“What is Malfoy up to?” Harry whispered over the map.
“What do you mean?” Ron asked.
“He has got Hermione locked in a room in the Dungeons,” Harry replied, “Let’s go and rescue her.”
Harry and Ron ran down to the dungeons following the map to an abandoned classroom and bursting in.
Draco was leaning over Hermione and holding her down when they entered and quickly peered over his shoulder.
“Hands off her Malfoy,” Ron growled, wand held in front of him ready to curse the Slytherin.
“Come on Hermione,” Harry said once Draco stepped back and held his hands up beside his head.
Hermione looked at Draco and then followed the boys out of the room.
“So glad I was looking at the map when that was happening,” Harry mentioned.
“Yeah… me too,” Hermione said.
Looking back towards the classroom she shrugged at Draco as he exited the room and watched her as she walked away.

“Professor, I don’t think I deserved this detention but I will do whatever you ask if it means this doesn’t go on my record,” Hermione said.
“I know one thing that may persuade me to be lenient,” Draco replied.
“What’s that professor?” Hermione said, “As I said I’m willing to do anything you wish me to.”
Draco smirked as he said, “A kiss. Just a kiss at the moment.”
“Oh Professor Malfoy, but you’re my teacher, how could I ever?” Hermione smiled as she walked closer to him.
“It’s quite easy, my dear student,” Draco said.
Hermione reached him, and he spun her around so she was leaning against the wall. Just as he was about to kiss her the door behind them banged open and Theodore Nott and Blaise Zabini stumbled in.
“Malfoy, having some fun with the Mudblood, are we?” Blaise asked.
“Mind if we join?” Theo joined in walking forwards.
“I’m finished here,” Draco said quickly, pushing the two from the room and shrugging at Hermione before he left the room completely.

They had finally found some time again to see each other and Draco was getting impatient. No matter how many times over the last few weeks they always got interrupted from their friends or professors.
It had been a close call when the girl Weasel had almost hit him with her famous Bat Bogey Hex when she had caught them in the Room of Requirement.
Now he had cast spells around the room so they wouldn’t be interrupted again.
When Hermione entered still in her ballgown, he smiled.
“You look gorgeous,” he said.
“You don’t look so bad yourself, Mr Malfoy,” Hermione said as she walked into the confines of his arms.
“Now where were we the other day?” He asked, “Oh that’s right.”
Draco finally kissed her and they felt their magic pulsating through them.
When he pulled back, he looked shocked.
“What’s wrong?” Hermione asked.
“That feeling of our magic pulsating. That only happens when a soul mate bond is possible due to our magical signature’s matching,” Draco explained.
“Oh wow, how rare is it?” Hermione asked.
“There’s only been six cases reported in the last century,” Draco said.
“Let’s see if it happens again, shall we?” Hermione suggested.
“Just to ensure it’s real of course,” Draco said.
“Yes, of course,” Hermione agreed.
Draco smirked before leaning down and kissing her again, feeling the magic pulsate through him was a dream come true.
But they would have to find a way of making it through the war so they didn’t have to hide their relationship.
