“Can you go any faster fatass?” Kyle grumbled to cartman who was a good 10 feet behind the group. “We’ve only been hiking for like an hour dude.”
“Shut up kyle.” Cartman snapped back inbetween breaths.
Stan laughed, and continued leading the group up the trail with a smile. This was a hike he knew well, as he remembers going on it a lot as a kid. The waterfall had become a safe spot for him, somewhere where he could drown out all the noise and stress of the world. So when he brought up the idea of going on a hike to the group and they were all on board, he had never been more excited. He was going to share his favorite place in the world with his best friends.
“How close are we Bear Grylls?” Kenny asked with a smile. “I dunno if fatass can take much more.”
“Shut up Kenny!” Cartman yelled from behind them.
Stan laughed, and looked up the trail. He could see the cliff wall that the trail curved around about 15 feet infront of them. “Coming up on the home stretch! Once we turn this corner we’re there!”
The boys cheered, mixed with cartman sigh of relief.

“Dude.” Kyle said, staring up at the cascading falls infront of them.
The waterfall was ethereal. A skyscraper of water pouring down from a layered cliff full of vegetation, different balcony’s and platforms of rocks pools, and weeping vines coating near the entire thing. The water flowed from these cliffs down into a decently sized pond, deep enough to swim and jump into. This pond then flowed down into a river with dozens of small ponds home to many plants and creatures. The area was the definition of peaceful, as it was sheltered by a beautiful canopy of trees, creating a shaded and cool environment, with the occasional streaks of sunlight pouring in through the leaves and bouncing off the river the water flowed into.
“Beautiful, right?” Stan said, bouncing on his heels with the biggest smile across his face. He hadn’t been able to visit the falls in a couple weeks due to run off from excess snow melt, so he was just as excited as the first time he had seen it.
“Fucking awesome.” Kenny said.
“Okay, this is pretty sweet.” Cartman said, being sincere for the first time in a while. “Now are you girls done looking? Cus I wanna go in the water.”
“See you there.” Stan taunted before leaping into the pond.
The three other boys followed suit, each diving in and sighing in relief for the cool refreshing prize of the long trek.
