Work Text:

Jotaro Kujo wasn’t too big on emotions.

Having to express himself wasn’t something he was particularly interested in. But yesterday he messed up. He let his feelings get the better of him and he kissed Kakyoin. Not only that, but Kakyoin had kissed him back.

He smiled at the memory. Kakyoin’s lips felt like heaven. And he ached to feel their touch once again.

But now he was in front of Kakyoin’s house.

He had run all the way from his house after Kakyoin had confessed his crush on Jotaro over text. He couldn’t tell Kakyoin his true feelings like that. Not on the phone. It felt weird that way.

No, he had to do this face to face.

Instead of going through the door like a normal person, Jotaro decided to do this his own way. He climbed through the fence and made his way to Kakyoin’s window. He’s done this multiple time already so it’s no big deal really.

After finding said window he decided to peek inside.

He saw Kakyoin, laying on his bed and staring at the ceiling in sort of a daze. He looked concerned, maybe a little bit confused as well.

But still so beautiful.

Kakyoin didn’t look like a woman.

No, he really didn’t.

He had a masculine jaw, with amethyst eyes that glittered when met with sunshine. His mouth was impossibly wide, his nose pointed and straight, and his eyebrows were thin and furrowed in the most interesting way. The thing that Jotaro found the most intriguing though was his redhair. It fit Kakyoin like a glove, Jotaro loved every part of him, he really did.

He gulped nervously. There’s no point in staring any longer.

Jotaro banged on Kakyoin’s window. Maybe a little too loudly because Kakyoin nearly fell off his bed at the sound.

“Fuck!” Kakyoin yelled as he clutched his bedsheets. He then looked over and locked eyes with Jotaro. He was more than a little shocked, his eyes widened, and his mouth hung open.

Jotaro didn’t wait for an invitation and simply opened the window. More like, yanked it open.

“Yo.” Jotaro said after he climbed his way out of Kakyoin’s window.

“Jotaro you have got to stop coming in through my window. The door was unlocked you know?” Kakyoin sat up in his bed and sighed.

Jotaro grunted.

“Yeah, but where’s the fun in that?” He shrugged.

Kakyoin hummed. He looked up at Jotaro. Expecting him to continue talking.

Jotaro knew what he was doing here. He was here to tell Kakyoin about his true feelings. That made Jotaro feel just the tiniest bit nauseous. Why did it have to be so hard to say things?

Jotaro groaned and sat down besides Kakyoin.

“I don’t… know how to say this. I’ll probably mess it up, but can you just listen to me?” Jotaro muttered under his breath.

Kakyoin smiled softly.

“Of course.”

Jotaro gulped once more before taking in a big inhale.

“Kakyoin. After everything we’ve been through, after all that we’ve seen, I finally found peace. I found something that keeps me calm.” Jotaro looked over at Kakyoin.

“That something is you.” He whispered.

Kakyoin blinked in astonishment. His cheeks started to turn a slight pink, which gave Jotaro the confidence to continue speaking.

“Everything that happened in Egypt left something in me that might never heal. But at the end of the day, it allowed me to meet you and get to know you. And I’m so incredibly grateful you’re a part of my life. I really am.” Jotaro spoke with conviction.

“A few days ago. I finally realized that all that I was feeling was more than simple friendship. I realized that I have a crush on you. All those nights in Egypt. When we were dirty and tired from all the fighting, we talked and I kept thinking about how wonderful you were. I was in love with you, even back then.” Jotaro laughed before continuing once again.

“Kakyoin, why do I like you so much? I can’t wrap my head around the fact that I want to spend every single moment with you, or how much I want to kiss you again. It’s getting exhausting and that’s why I had to tell you this.” He finally finishes his speech. Shit was that too much?

Kakyoin gasped and then slapped his mouth shut. Jotaro could only stare at him. All this talking had made him flustered and he could physically feel his ears getting more and more hot. Plus, he had forgotten his hat at home since he had rushed here. He even forgot his phone.

It’s not like he was nervous that Kakyoin would reject his advance. Kakyoin had already professed his love for him. But something about admitting what he really felt was an excruciating feat for him.

“You can’t just! Oh my god Jotaro why would you say something like that?” Kakyoin pulled on his hair and used it to cover his quickly reddening face. Jotaro raised and eyebrow at the question.

“You can’t say stuff like that so casually.” Kakyoin stuttered out.

“Well it’s how I feel so deal with it.” Jotaro crossed his arms.

The room remained silent for a beat before Kakyoin spoke up.

“I feel the same way.”

“I know.” He replied.

Kakyoin chuckled.

“Quite a revelation… you know I don’t really remember the kiss from yesterday.” Kakyoin commented with a sly smile.

Jotaro’s eyes squinted.

“Oh really?”

“Yeah it’s strange. Maybe you’d like to help me jog my memory hm?” Kakyoin answered in an innocent matter.

Jotaro had to smile at that. He brought himself closer to Kakyoin.

“Yeah I’d like that.” He whispered as he leaned in and pressed his lips against Kakyoin’s.

This was something new altogether. Kakyoin’s lips were just as he remembered. Soft, and cherry flavored. This time it was from the lip balm that Kakyoin always puts on. Their foreheads pressed together as the kiss prolonged.

Kakyoin pulled Jotaro by the collar to further deepen the kiss. And Jotaro obliged because how could he not?

Jotaro smiled and he moved his lips with more passion he thought was possible.

But still gentle and careful.

Jotaro moved his hands so they settled on Kakyoin’s waist, his thumbs almost touching. While Kakyoin kept one hand clutching his shirt and another clinging onto his cheek.

The kiss was almost a replica of what had happened the day prior. Yet Jotaro still felt all tingly and happy.

Unfortunately, Kakyoin hesitantly broke off the kiss.

They were both gasping for air and panting as they stared into each others eyes.

“Do you remember now?” Jotaro’s voice was a little hoarse as he said this.

Kakyoin giggled as he left a quick peck to Jotaro’s lips.

“I think so, yes.” He said.

Jotaro hated to do this, but he separated himself from Kakyoin so they could continue talking.

“So what now?” Jotaro muttered.

“You know, I have no clue.” Kakyoin sighed, his face still a little flushed from the kiss.

Jotaro bit his lip.

“You want to stay over?” Kakyoin asked.

Jotaro smiled at his words.

“I’d like to believe me, but I kind of left my phone at the house and I promised my mom I’d help her make dinner.” It was true, and it irritated him just a little that he couldn’t stay and talk to Kakyoin more.

Kakyoin nodded. “Right, um well. Text me when you get home okay?”

“Sure.” Jotaro got up from Kakyoin’s bed and made his way to the window he had come from. Kakyoin just shook his head as he opened the window and climbed his way out.

“Again, there’s a door.”

“And again, it’s more fun this way.”

Kakyoin leaned onto the window frame and smiled.

Jotaro smiled back and grabbed Kakyoin’s face to kiss him one last time. The kiss ended as soon as it began.

“Goodbye, Noriaki.”

“Goodbye, Jotaro.”

Jotaro walked home in a dream like state.

Holly scolded him for worrying her as soon as he arrived home. Apparently, she had issued a missing persons report.
