Work Text:
Kakyoin arrived at the Kujo residence at 2:11 PM.
He was excited since this was his first-time seeing Jotaro after their fight. A stupid and pointless fight he wanted to forget about. Of course, he was also a bit nervous. How could he talk to Jotaro after all that had gone down?
However, he set all his worries aside and stepped into the house. He carefully slid off his shoes and neatly placed them at their designated area close to the shoji door and called out, “JoJo?” He walked towards Jotaro’s room in silence. His heart was thumping. He clutched the cloth that served as a barrier between his chest and fist.
He hated being vulnerable, especially when he had no reason to be.
You need to relax. He reminded himself.
He finally made it to Jotaro’s room, the door was open, and he found Jotaro sitting down on the floor. He was on his phone, and he seemed concentrated since he was biting his thumb in a nervous matter. Jotaro looked up and he met eyes with Kakyoin.
He smiled a soft smile. Like he was relieved that Kakyoin was there.
Kakyoin smiled back. A little star struck by Jotaro. He was always a little starstruck by him.
“Hey.” Jotaro whispered. So small you could miss it if you breathed too loud.
“Hi.” Kakyoin answered, still staring into Jotaro’s turquoise eyes.
Jotaro stood up then. He walked towards Kakyoin and with no hesitation, embraced him into his arms. Kakyoin yelped into the hug. Jotaro… hugged him? That was certainly a shock. Kakyoin grinned even wider and hugged him back just as tight. And if he teared up just a little, then that’s between him and god.
“I missed you.” Jotaro had mumbled next to Kakyoin’s ear. Which now felt hot and tingly. Kakyoin bit his cheek in response.
“Yeah, I missed you as well, JoJo.” Kakyoin murmured. That made Jotaro bury himself deeper into his shoulder which was a surprise. Kakyoin had never seen this side of him before. It was strange to see Jotaro so open, but Kakyoin welcomed the change.
Jotaro’s hands rubbed circles on Kakyoin’s back, drawing shapes in comforting motions. They were both lost in the moment, a moment Kakyoin hoped would last a while. Jotaro didn’t say anything for a long time, he was simply focused on Kakyoin. That sent shivers up Noriaki’s spine. It was too much all at once. His stomach was swirling with emotion as he pulled away from Jotaro’s touch.
Kakyoin cleared his throat.
“So, do you want to talk or?” He questioned.
“I think that’d be best…” Jotaro answered.
-
Kakyoin sat down next to Jotaro and opened a fresh can of cherry soda.
He laughed. “Well, that’s just crazy talk.”
“Dolphins are smarter than you. It's been proven.” Jotaro stated.
Kakyoin snorted.
“Sure, but let one go against my Hierophant Green, then we’ll see who’s stronger.”
“Whatever man.” Jotaro rolled his eyes while sipping on his lime-flavored drink.
They sat there for a while. Comfortable silence enveloped both.
“You know, I really missed these talks.” Said Jotaro.
Kakyoin twisted his neck to look at him.
“Oh?” Kakyoin hummed. He wanted Jotaro to say more.
“I hated that whole fight. It was stupid, and I know I already apologized, but I’m sorry about all I said. I never meant to hurt you. I never want to do that again and that’s why I promise to not be an idiot anymore.” Jotaro rambled.
Kakyoin tried to speak but was cut off. “Kakyoin, you’re so amazing, I don’t ever want to let you go.”
Noriaki’s eyebrows shot up at Jotaro’s sentence. Kakyoin stared carefully at Jotaro’s expression, his face wasn’t hidden behind his hat this time. It left him vulnerable. But he was still avoiding his gaze, so Kakyoin spoke up.
“Jotaro, you’re amazing as well.” Kakyoin whispered, soft but clear. He placed his pale right hand on Jotaro's tan one and smiled slightly.
Before he could do anything else, Jotaro lunged forward and kissed him.
Kakyoin gasped into the kiss. Surprised by the sudden contact. This was nothappening. Was Jotaro Kujo truly kissing him? Jotaro’s lips were rough and tasted of the lime soda he was previously drinking. And with the combined taste of his own cherry drink. It made for a very confusing flavor of cherry-lime. With nothing else to do, Kakyoin closed his eyes and kissed him back feverishly. He cupped the side of his sharp jaw with his left hand and continued the kiss with newfound confidence. It was weird, he had never kissed anyone else before, but it felt so natural to kiss his best friend. Better than that, it felt good.
The kiss remained chaste and soft, and Jotaro soon moved his hand to rest behind Kakyoin’s head and buried itself under red curls.
Kakyoin had never felt so helpless before in his life. All he could do was keep kissing. He quickly began to feel breathless, and that’s when Jotaro separated himself from Kakyoin’s mouth.
They stared at each other for a few awkward moments. And Kakyoin felt very out of place in a very short amount of time. They kissed. He kissed me.
It dawned on him that this wasn’t something friends did. Why had Jotaro kissed him? Did he have feelings for him as well? That would be impossible, Jotaro would have said something, right? And Jotaro was still staring at him with that dumb expression of his. His face was flushed pink, and his lips were colored an enticing red.
Kakyoin had to go.
“Noriaki-”
Kakyoin stood up suddenly.
“Wait where are you going? Stay.” Jotaro stood up and reached for Kakyoin’s hand.
“Fuck... I’m sorry about that, I need to go. Bye see you later!” Kakyoin yelled as he practically ran away from Jotaro.
It was only after Kakyoin got his shoes on and left the residence that he realized what he had done.
“Shit.” He muttered to himself. He pinched his nose bridge in anger. He was so stupid. He just ran away from his crush. Who kissed him, and said, ‘bye see you later’? He was in deep trouble now.
He remembered the tender kiss that they shared and smiled. Maybe there was some hope after all. Maybe his crush on Jotaro Kujo wasn’t so far-fetched. Maybe.
