Summary
What if instead of arriving three days before the Festival of Termina the contestants arrived nine days before it? Everything it's the same except there is more time to suffer together!
Marina came to Levi while he was on his first guard shift of the night. She sat next to him at the edge of the train door, letting her slender legs hang into the darkness below. She had a blanket over her shoulders and an old book in her hands. She was still wearing her day clothing but she had her hair down, falling gracefully at the sides of her neck. Between the two of them there was only a lone candle fighting a black sea of darkness with its pale light.
"Olivia insisted in leaving the door open and this candle on, in case someone of the missing passengers tried to return."
The boy said, looking at the darkness in front of them. Nothing could be clearly distinguished but the shadows seemed to somehow move.
"I don't think they will return." Marina said softly.
"I think that too."
Levi responded.
They eventually stopped talking but he didn't mind. Her presence was enough to make things less scary. -
