The memories were like photographs suspended in her mind. Slightly blurred by the passing of time, yet they still held emotions as clear as the day they were created. They were all so special to her, echoing in her heart.
Lexi fell backwards onto the couch, staring up at the ceiling in a bliss filled silence. She was exhausted, but she was happy.
Happiness. It was a overwhelming, burning at the ends of her fingertips and toes. Her mind was full of it, the feeling akin to her head being filled with fluff.
It was one of those days. Those days when she recalled everything that had happened to her throughout her life. Throughout her time on A2K. The memories were so bittersweet. It was a survival show, they all knew that going in, but it still hurt like anything to watch someone leave.
She was surprised she made it so far. Hell, she was so damn sure she was going to be eliminated!
And then she won.
Lexi Vang, winner of A2K.
It sounded nice, she couldn't deny.

It was so hard to believe. She spent so much time reminding herself this was real. That she wouldn't wake up from a scarily real dream to find she had missed out on her opportunity to achieve her dreams. To find she has been eliminated after all.
But with each passing day, the truth sunk in more. She did it. A2K wasn't the end, though. It was more like the beginning. While she was incredibly proud of herself for how she did, she also knew she had to work twice as hard for the days, months, years to come.
VCHA was her future, and she couldn't be happier.
"Hey, Lexi," Kendall hummed as she made her way into the living room. "What are you thinking about?"
Lexi pulled herself up, letting a floaty smile slip onto her lips. "A2K. VCHA."
"Oh?" the younger prompted, sitting down beside her friend.
Grabbing Kendall's arm, Lexi couldn't stop her smiling from growing. Her eyes were shining. "We're here. We're VCHA. We did it. Do you remember back at the beginning when we first met? None of us actually knew if we would even make it to the Korean Boot Camp! Now we are here. I'm so proud of us. All of us.
"Even the girls who didn't make it. I'm proud of them too. Perhaps they didn't make it this time, but they have such bright futures, I know it." Kendall wrapped her arms around Lexi as she listened to the older talk. "We have fans, Kendall! Actual fans! We're real musicians!"
"We are," she agreed, running a hand through Lexi's hair, "and you’re our leader. I think they were right to choose you for the job."
Blushing, Lexi stammered at the compliment. "O-oh, really?"
"Really," Kendall's voice was soft and shining with sincerity.
A sharp knock at the door cut through their moment. The pair could hear KG's voice calling from outside, "hello! It's us! We have food, so open up!"
With a laugh, the two of them made their way to the hallway. As soon as Lexi opened the door, all four of the other girls came tumbling through into the narrow space, giggling loudly.
"We have the evening off so I thought we could eat together," Camila explained, holding up some bags of take aways.
Savanna walked past and grabbed them on her way to the small hotel kitchen. "Are there enough plates?" She asked as she rummaged through one of the cupboards.
"I'll grab some from my room!" Kaylee suggested quickly. Her and KG disappeared again to retrieve them while the rest started to set everything up on the table.
Kendall smiled at Lexi from across the room, the older’s eyes sparkling as she looked around at her friends.
