Summary
Luo Binghe is known as The Demon of Luoyang, and is a vicious warlord whose hands are covered in blood and heart covered in scars. When he is betrayed by those closest to him, he escapes to Cang Qiong Temple, where most of the monks are reluctant to shelter him. But when the strange monk Yuan urged his brothers to let Luo Binghe stay, he found shelter under the arched roofs of their ageing temple, and safety amongst the trees and the mountains.
Luo Binghe planned to only stay there while he gathered the strength to exact his revenge on those who betrayed him, but as time passed, he found that there was more to life than just blood and riches. He found Yuan, who was smart, and kind, and forgiving, and the only thing that brought Binghe peace in his miserable, tormented life.
But when karma comes knocking, the sins of Binghe's past surge forth.
And it's not just him that pays the price.
