Work Text:
Scara sits back on his headboard, laying his head against it with a sigh.
He's bored.
He glances down at Heizou who's comfortably asleep at his side, state disheveled and articles of clothing missing, but as usual, he pulls it off better than should be allowed.
The moonlight hits his soft skin beautifully giving him a divine glow that his slightly faded tan embraces in full.
Scaramouche has an urge to take him all over again.
He brushes the darkening marks on Heizou's neck with an unexpected tenderness, his hand traveling further as he follows the bruises downward. Along his shoulders are bite marks that have since faded since first made. He brushes across his nape—where the majority of bruises seem to be placed, and Heizou stirs slightly.
Scara pauses, not wanting to disturb his rest. Heizou's sure to be tired... He frowns lightly upon remembering how they got here.
Heizou, ever stubborn, spent his entire rest days working on a case he insisted would only take an hour. Not thirty of them. Of course, Scara, being the lenient boyfriend that he is, gave him his peace until the case was presumed solved. After, Scaramouche made a suggestion (read, demanded) that Heizou slept, but alas, Heizou had a few too many coffees the half hour before he'd solved the case, resulting in him having a longer stretch of energy than anticipated.
To put a long story short—Scara's only option was to fuck him well, thoroughly, and to sleep; giving him the rest he so desperately needed.
But now? If he didn't say that he was bored to Celestia and back, he'd be lying.
He continued his mindless caressing of his boyfriend. He admits, (only to himself) that Heizou is highly amusing and he somewhat missed the entertainment these past few days. He wishes he could go bother Kazuha but he's at his apartment studying.
...Hm.
He suddenly gets an idea.
With a fleeting kiss to Heizou's forehead he makes his way from underneath the sheets with careful motions and exits the bedroom, softly shutting up the door behind him.
He keeps his walk down the hall as quiet and swift as possible while he runs his fingers throughout his hair, fixing the messiness it has come to from his shifting against his pillow. He pauses as he reached his destination, standing in front of the plain white door that happened to be Heizou's room with an unimpressed expression.
He's seen this door plenty of times—knocked on this door quite a bit of times. What lies behind it, though..?
Well, he's as curious as a cat, and we all know how that saying goes. Luckily for him, cats have nine lives.
So, in the room he enters.
The first thing he notices is the smell, why the hell does it smell like cinnamon, Scara reckons he'll never figure that mystery out—he swears that smell follows Heizou wherever he goes.
The next thing he notices is how soft everything is. The colours, the lighting, even Heizou's bed looks softer than his—which only slightly ticks him off. He takes another step inside of the room, getting a feel for the unfamiliar environment, he notices the white, plush bear that sits on Heizou's pastel green sheets which instantly catches his attention. Scara instinctively takes a step toward the bed, picking up the bear with a gentle grip. It's a Kuromi plushie, he notices, dressed as a bear.
He didn't know Heizou was into stuff like that-
Wait...
He brings it closer to get a better look. It looks awfully familiar, like he's seen this exact plush before.
Suddenly, Scaramouche pauses at the realization.
Oh..?
This is the same one Kazuha joked Scara's personality stemmed from that day the three of them were shopping at the mall. The same one he was certain he rolled his eyes and told Kazuha to go put it back because he found himself unamused. So how does said plushie's look-alike end up on Heizou's bed? Especially considering that the joke was made awhile before they started dating.
Heizou's list of mysteries grows.
He sits the plushie down where he'd found it, making his way to further explore his redhead boyfriend's room. He's finding himself more curious than initially thought and now, far from bored.
He takes his time observing the room, noticing how Heizou's bed is fixed and untouched while his vanity sits organized yet messy with candy wrappers. He noticed another plush near the vanity's mirror which he takes a seat at the desk to observe.
He picks up the My Melody plushie that sat on top of the desk. He's not a detective like the redhead but he quickly realized the two plushie's relations.
Scaramouche picked up the My melody plush, glancing at Kazuha with a raised brow. Since the blond compared him to a Kuromi plushy dressed as a bear he thinks he should return the favor.
Kazuha's gives him a curious look, glancing between him and the stuffed plush in his hand before his eyebrows raise as he connected the dots. He gives Scara a playful smile as he takes the bunny from his hand. "My, Kuni, I didn't take you for the type to play with dolls," Kazuha teased with a sly grin. Scara glares at him, but before he could retort—Kazuha's already spinning, making his way towards Heizou to present the plushie and brag about it's cute significance.
Kazuha brightly laughs and jokes about the plushie. Scara, rolling his eyes, joins the two and having to explain the joke to Heizou who seemed unaware of the characters the plushies were but happy to humor Kazuha.
"...How cute." He whispers to himself.
Scaramouche flinches out of his thoughts as he hears a shriek echo through the room. He whips his head toward the door, wide open with Heizou standing between the doorframe face flushed and expression utterly embarrassed.
"W-Why are you in here!?" He hears Heizou whisper-yell. His boyfriend doesn't wait for an answer before quickly making his way toward where Scara is sat and snatching his My Melody plush away from him, sticking it behind his back to hide it.
Scara blinks in surprise before his expression turns slightly humored.
"What's wrong? Woke up on the wrong side of the bed?" He tilts his head with an innocent expression. Heizou blush deepens but glare intensifies at the teasing. Scara gave a small amused smirk, opening his arms in a gesture for a hug.
"Alright, here. Good morning, Hei." He motions for him to come closer which hesitatingly, Heizou complies, dropping his guard and coming closer to hug him.
Scara takes the opportunity to quickly reach around Heizou and snatch the stuffed bunny from behind his back. Scara gives a victorious, smug expression while Heizou face slackens, eyes narrowing and gives Scaramouche a betrayed look.
"Give it back," Heizou complains, reaching for it with a pout. "I didn't know you like plushies, Hei," Scara teases him playfully, keeping My Melody out of his reach. Heizou crosses his arms with a glare.
"You're the one with the suspicious amount of knowledge about the show." He accused.
"Only because Kazuha has weird hobbies." Scara countered.
"Says the one with the weird kinks." Heizou smirks slyly, catching Scara off guard he quickly takes his plushie away from him.
Scara gives him an unimpressed look.
"Why the sudden interest in this anyway?" Asks Scaramouche, though he already has a hunch.
Heizou's blush returns. "No reason," he lies terribly. Scara raises an eyebrow, urging him to stop his lies. Heizou doesn't budge.
"No need to lie, I think it's cute." He gives him a knowing look which causes Heizou to freeze. He covers his face. "Oh my god- shut up!" He says, face matching his hair.
Scara smirks. "Kazuha surely would share the same sentiments."
Heizou's eyes widen at the implication. "Kunikuzushi." He said suddenly. "You wouldn't." Scaramouche laughs in surprise at his sudden yelp of his name. "Oh, but I would."
Heizou yells after him as he's already running to his bedroom to his phone while he chases after him.
