Work Text:
After the outbreak, Donnie has sharp teeth.
This fact didn’t bother him all too much. Of all the lasting effects his second mutation could’ve caused, stretch marks and pointier teeth weren’t all too bad, and aside from biting his tongue several times while talking for the next few weeks, they really weren’t an inconvenience in the slightest.
The implications, however… those did bother him.
Bishop and Stockman’s accidentally invented virus caused creatures it came into contact with to take on new characteristics, strange and uncanny, it made everything bigger and better fit for the violence that the original fake aliens had been made for. It made creatures grow claws and teeth and pointy tails, leather wings and red eyes in places they shouldn’t be.
Donatello had been one of the infected victims of the virus, and though his family had brushed it off, he knew they jumped through hoops to cure him, but they did indeed cure him, and in doing so, invented a cure to clean the mess Bishop had caused. All’s well that ends well.
Except that, Donnie had pointy teeth. And if the virus had lasting effects on him… he wondered what the lasting effects would be for the other victims of it. Particularly – the human ones.
