"He takes a step back to the door and looks back out the peephole to make sure his brain wasn’t making him imagine Katsuki there or something. He notices that it is, in fact, still Katsuki but he also notices that he looks… exhausted. He looks like he’s gonna double over any second now and- Oh my god is that blood?
Izuku rushes to open the door, he has a million questions for Katsuki. A million.
But all that can come out of his mouth is, “Hi?”
“Deku,” Katsuki groans, he’s clearly in pain and, if Izuku still knows anything about Katsuki, it hurts a lot worse than he’s letting on. He coughs, “I, uh,” He scoffs and looks away from Izuku, “fuck.” Eye contact has always been something he’s struggled with, good to know that some things never change. “I didn’t know where else to go,” He looks back at Izuku directly, “I’m sorry.”
That’s weird. Katsuki doesn’t apologize. Not often. "
