   Summary

   He could remember gasping for air. Over and over and over. The waves, a friend turned enemy, relentlessly pushing, urging him to give in.

   He could remember fighting. Biting at his lips, teeth grinding firmly against each other as if merging into one.

   He could remember the pain. Tossed, slammed against the unforgiving sea floor. His head burning – a piercing sensation forcing his eyes closed and keeping him awake. He didn’t know which way was up.
