“AGHHHHHH!!”
Once again another loud shrill of anger shot out through the trees making the birds fly away.
“Ah! That was going to be dinner!” Rui sighs as the rock as the handmade-leaf slingshot falls to the sand.
“What is it?” Honami asks, looking over to an angry Ena staring at her phone.
“I WAS SO FUCKING CLOSE!” She cried out.
Honami can only assume that Ena hadn’t gotten a focus event. “Did you get a card at least?”
“3 star.” Ena sighs as she chucks her across the beach, which seconds later is met with an audible “ow!”
Toya rubs the back of his head where Ena’s phone has struck him. He turned around and picked it up looking at the event page.
Now he sees why Ena had chucked it away. Her groupmate Kanade had gotten a focus event instead of her.
At this point, Toya had gotten used to it. The rage-filled screams, the pure insanity all of them had reached at one point. Thankfully getting any type of card higher their sanity levels, recently with the Saniro event had helped them all.
Toya hears sandy footsteps and turns his head to see Haruka shuffling over.
“Whose focus is it?” She asks.
“Kanade,” Toya replied, handing her the phone.
She inspected the event page before Ena took her phone back and chucked it into the water.
“Oh…” Haruka mumbled as she watched the phone sink into the seawater.
“How else are we supposed to get our information about the next events?” Rui questioned, stepping down on the sand from the rock he was perched on.
“Maybe it’ll be better for us, if we stop waiting desperately we’ll just hope the ship comes and takes one of us—” Honami suggests trying to stay positive.
“No!” Ena interrupts. “We need to stand up to this. Let's all stand up to this— this bullying!”
“I’d say this is more neglect.” Rui speaks up and Ena shoots him a glare. “Whatever.”
Toya runs his hair through his hair and sighs “How do we even do that?”
Ena thinks for a moment before she gets an idea. “Well, I just threw away the only source we use to check who's next. So if we just don't check they won't taunt us the way they have been!”
“They’ve been taunting us?” Haruka asks.
“Of course they have! Anyways, what do you guys say?!”
“I think I had just said that—” Honami mentions.
Toya, Rui, and, Haruka all look at each other contemplating before looking back to Ena.
“Yes— No” The three answered.
Ena sighed. “You guys aren’t synchronized at all.”
“Oh well. I'll be scouting for more food, the longer we’re on this island the more we’ll starve.” Rui says walking away back to his rock, but then stops and turns around after hearing a noise.
Suddenly a giant screen projected into the sky announcing a new event.
Ena gasps seeing it was another Nightcord event. “This is it! It's finally my turn!” She cheers.
Her parade was quickly shit on when they had announced which member it would be going to.
“MIZUKI!? WHAT THE FUCK!?”
