“Hey there, kid.”
“Hey.”
“So. How’s your ship holding up?”
“Perfectly fine, thank you.”
“Is it in need of any repairs?”
“Not that I know of.”
“Maybe you should get it checked out, just in case. I’m sure the kids won’t mind if you stay with us for a couple days.”
“Sounds great, but the only thing is that I would mind. So, too bad. See ya.”

“Salutations, Boba.”
“What, no Alpha?”
“You clearly informed me you did not like the nickname ‘Alpha’. I believe your exact words were ‘call me Alpha and you die’.”
“You’re so right, I did say that. What do you want?”
“I was merely wondering if you would like to join the other three in a history lesson. Even if you are a bounty hunter, it’s important for children to be well-educated.”
“I’m already well-educated. And I’m not a child.”
“You are around the same age as Omega, so you still qualify as one.”
“How do you know that?”
“Your data file. May I interest you in some books on history instead?”
“Not interested.”
“. . . I see. Well. May I tutor you in some other subject? Math, perhaps? Cal is also struggling in that area.”
“How many times do I have to say no?”

“Oh, good, I didn’t miss you.”
“You’re about to depending on what you ask me.”
“Well, Hunter told me your ship might need repairs.”
“Really? Because it doesn’t.”
“We can go check it and run diagnostics just in case.”
“Or we could not, but whatever.”
“It’d just be bad if you were stranded in the middle of space because the fuel line was busted. You’ll have to help me with it, though - can’t use my scomp to do everything.”
“My ship is fine, thanks. And get yourself another hand if you want to hold things.”

“Heya, kid!”
“What is it now?”
“Wanna come play catch with me outside? I was gonna ask the others, but they’re doing a history lesson with Tech. I guess it’d just be you and me!”
“You guys aren’t even trying to be subtle anymore.”

“I hate to say this, but I do not think our ‘excellent plan’ is working. Boba is incredibly skilled at avoiding the topic.”
“Keep trying, men. We’ll get him eventually.”
“Heck yeah we will!”
“We might need to start thinking about getting a bigger ship, Hunter . . .”
