Summary
The silver axe moves gently into his line of sight. “Don’t become a problem, doc.”
“He did this to me,” Legundo growls.
“And once he’s cured, we can change you back too,” Abolish says. Whatever irregularity had disquieted his heart has eased, the pulse settled back into regulated meter. The axe doesn’t move. “I don’t need to kill you.”
Owen rolls his head towards Abolish, and in the process – intentionally or not – bares his neck further. “Oh, don’t spoil the fun, Abolish. He and I both knew it would come to this. I turn him, he kills me; fitting, in the end.”
An AU oneshot where newly-turned Legundo catches up with Owen and Abolish before they reach the beacon.

Summary
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry,” Owen whispered into the wind, letting tears well up in his eyes. Pain radiated from his knees as he collapsed onto the sandy riverside, his feet finally giving out. “I can’t lose you again. I can’t. I CAN’T!!” He screamed, sharp claws digging into calloused hands. A pit of despair grew deeper and deeper in Owen’s stomach, a gut-wrenching feeling controlling his limbs like a marionette on strings.

We can leave if you want!” Shelby hurriedly said, face full of worry and hidden sadness. She fiddled with her collar, hands dancing with nervous energy.Shelby made a move to stand and presumably leave, but Scott, ever the observant one, suddenly spoke up. “Owen, have you been crying?” It was an achingly simple question, yet it shocked Owen to his core, and he stumbled back, eyes wide with surprise. Of course, Scott noticed. A pitiful laugh broke from Owen’s throat, and he looked down, avoiding everyone’s gaze.
