Unfortunately, Tav and Astarion believe Evelyn is the best choice to help them, as Gale is keeping quiet for now about his plan to become Chosen.
Evelyn has never explored the full extent of her magic. Turning to the Shadow Weave cost her much, and she fears there is yet more to pay. Recruited by Tav and Astarion to find a cure for vampirism, Evelyn worries that she will not be able to deliver. It doesn’t help that she has to work with Gale, for whom she has cultivated complicated feelings over the years.
