It's late December in the Diogenes, and Mycroft Holmes is keeping up with the headlines with a cuppa...
... when Greg Lestrade stops by with a gift.
"Happy Christmas, Mycroft!"
"Felicitations of the season to you as well, Gregory."
"But where's your tree? Decorations? It's almost Christmas Day!"
"Is it? The month has flown by. Perhaps it is time to bring out some greenery. I don't suppose you would care to help?"
"Let me at it!"
"Very well. I must change and order the deliveries. Please relax for a moment."
"Mind if I put my feet up?"
"Go ahead."
"The sports and a coffee and a comfy seat. You know how to entertain a chap, Mycroft!"
"This is easier with two of us. You were right, Gregory."
"Even a stopped clock. You just be careful up there."
"Given up already, Mycroft?"
"Someone must review the overall effect from a distance. And arrange for well-deserved sustenance after our efforts. You're doing an excellent job."
"Yeah, well, it's fun to be festive."
"That turned out quite well. Thank you, Gregory, for the inspiration."
"Thank you, Mycroft, for the holiday treats! And the cuddles."
"Yes. Well. Harumph.... I feel the same."
