    Summary

Sherlock looked at his watch. “Eight minutes to midnight,” he said.

“Eight minutes,” John scoffed, shaking his head at the ridiculousness of that.

Eight minutes was enough time to fall in love. And eight minutes was enough time to break a heart. No amount of time could change those two things, never those.

When John Watson is recruited by a mysterious stranger, he has no idea that his life is about to be altered for all time.

Reread this (didn't recall the first read two years ago--damn that holey memory!) and found it fascinating, evidently all over again. Gripping time travel, although I'll never actually understand the workings of it! Reread again if needed, dumbass.

    Summary

Some stories happen in the dark. Some truths only surface when no one is watching. While all of London sleeps, the lights are still on at 221B Baker Street—not for a case, but because one man never sleeps, and another has started hearing music that was never played. This is a story about insomnia, about war, and about two questions too dangerous to ask: Why don't you sleep? Why do you stay?

Atmospheric tale with anomalous, magical time implications. Worth reading again.

What an epic ride this has been! I consider this a real classic of this fandom, well worth the initial read and bookmarking for future enjoyment. The characters ring so true and the struggles of their relationship during such a terrifying time are so engaging. How do we survive and hope and carry on when tomorrow is not guaranteed? Do we risk all or keep ourselves tightly encapsulated to minimize injury? A worthy and worthwhile examination, full of real life. These characters go through hell, to be sure. They come out the other side, scarred but together and deeply in love. Yes!

A most excellent first fanfic, well written without an overly histrionic attempt at 19th century language. ♥️

    Summary

John is not so blind. He sees a lot more than he’s given credit for.

    /

“Where?” Sherlock doesn’t bother to answer, shoving his arms into his coat and reaching for his scarf. “For how long?” John asks, because he can see it now. He can see how this is going to unfold, even if he cannot know the details. Sherlock pauses at the question, only for a second. He doesn’t meet John’s eye.

Need a canon-swap for the Fall? This is all in for TOGETHER IS BETTER! John isn't stupid, is quite sharp, and doesn't tumble for all the misdirection Sherlock's laying down. And he calls him on it! Yes!
