   To say Edward was stalking the woman he saw on the subway wasn't inaccurate, but he would really rather you didn't phrase it that way! Sure he followed her home but that was simply to learn more about her! Besides, even with the Batman her safety wasn't guaranteed unless Edward was there himself to make sure she was okay. He simply wanted to know more about her, to understand her, for her to understand him. Unfortunately not everything he learns about Mallory will make him as happy as he thinks it will. Her views on life and the world are far more depressing than his own, while he was fueled by the fire's of revolution her spark had already long fizzled out. Rekindling that flame won't be easy, and Edward certainly isn't the person for the job.

   How about a little doomed romance for the holiday season? I'm tired of being happy. This is meant to be a story about my OC Mallory and Edward but like you can totally use her as a self insert if you want, Mallory is basically a personification of me at my worst anyways. I wrote this while listening to Shut In by Pigeon Pit on loop so I hope you enjoy :3
