David woke up to kisses being softly peppered all over his face. “Good morning,” he purred as he leaned up with pursed lips to reciprocate, eyes still closed.
“Good morning. Happy New Year.”
David slowly opened his eyes to look at him in confusion. “You’re a little late there - it’s January 2nd.”
Patrick shrugged as best he could lying half on top of David. “Still feels new. In a good way. Like the shine hasn’t worn off.”
David looked at his boyfriend, six months in, soft and beautiful in the pale early morning light. “Yeah, I know what you mean.”
