   Summary

   In 1954, the Castle Bravo nuclear test in the Pacific leads to a situation far beyond the ability of man to control and Dr Grace Adler - accused communist, secret lesbian, and nuclear physicist extraordinaire - is thrust into a nightmare quest to bring an end to the horror.
