Rodimus Prime was fully intending to die on his permanent orbit, and take the last of the Cybertronian race with him.
He had accepted it. Made peace with it. Wanted it.
So imagine his surprise when instead of joining his friends in the Allspark, he ends up on a ship filled with irresponsible children and old friends.
