Chapter Text
Heeled boots tap against the ugly tiled floor, the dark attire coming into view as golden earrings jingle with each movement. That cocky smirk forming as those eyes showed no fear.
“Stop!” A guard demands as many guns are pointed towards him.
But the omega doesn’t stop, his movements full of confidence as he slips out a small knife from his coat sleeve where no one could see.
“What are you going to do, shoot me?” Law lets out sarcastically.
“I mean it, stop now or we will fire!”
“You should’ve done that the moment you saw me,” Law says as he moves fast, throwing the knife as it goes right into the barrel of the gun at the same time the guy fires it.
It causes the gun to backfire, the weapon exploding and causing several to fall back from the blast. The others can’t see through the smoke and it’s too late as Law suddenly appears, his smirk evil as he lightly chuckles,
“Time to die.”
The guy goes to scream but can’t, finding his throat slashed as he goes down. Law keeps moving, taking one down at a time, the others freaking out. Some end up shooting their own people, others cower down out of fear or try to get away. But Law gets each and everyone, his tattooed fingers taking a hold of one of the guns and finishes off the guy trying to crawl away.
Shooting him right in the back of the head before the smoke clears and reveals all of them dead with Law not having a scratch on him.
“Well that was boring,” Law pouts as this was too easy.
‘Don’t get sidetracked now’ A voice comes through his ear piece.
Law scowls in distaste, “Last I checked, you’re not in charge of me, Vergil.”
‘Well the Boss is busy at the moment and he put me in charge of getting you back home safely.’
Vergil sounded like he’d rather be anywhere but outside the perimeter waiting for him.
“You can always go home, I don’t need a babysitter.”
Law can see Vergil rolling his eyes in his mind as he says,
‘Like the Boss would take kindly to that.’
Law keeps moving, going to the computers to hack into them. He pulls out a small device and plugs it in. The screen lights up as Law searches for what he came here for,
“It’s been two years. I believe I proved myself more than enough of what I’m capable of doing on my own.”
‘That’s not the issue.’
Law smirks, “I’m starting to think he wants me to keep you guys alive instead.”
‘Keep dreaming.’
“If only I could,” Law sassed back.
‘I’m sure it would be full of rainbows and butterflies for you.’
Law shakes his head at that one when he notices something,
“Oh, someone else is already here and trying to do the same thing?”
‘What? That’s impossible. We should’ve gotten here first.’
Law is quick to search the area, picking up on a breach from the opposite side that he came in.
“No wonder there weren't many people on this side, they’re all on the west side.”
Well, this should make things interesting.
‘I’m coming---’
“No need,” Law cut him off as he located where he needed to go, “By the time you get to me, I’ll already be obtaining the prize. So wait like a good boy so we can make a clean getaway.”
Law is on the move again, his eyes looking up into the air vents, his smirk forming as he hears Vergil say,
‘If you weren't the Boss’ pet I would’ve killed you by now.’
“Get in line,” Law says cockily as he gets up into the air vent with ease.
“Hmm, that can’t be good,” Wire says and it catches their attention.
The gang stood over debris and dead bodies as they chose to make an entrance from above. I mean, why sugar coat getting inside when they had shit to get done and someone would notice them eventually.
“What do you mean by that?” Killer would like to know as Heat glances over Wire’s shoulder but doesn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
You know, no flashing red neon alerts other than the one where they breached in from.
“I could’ve sworn someone else had hacked into the system at the same time I did but…I can’t pinpoint from where…”
“It’s not important. Focus on what we came here for and let’s get the fuck out of here,” Kid voices.
“Almost…” Wire says as Shachi keeps watch,
“Uh guys, we have an incoming.”
“Incoming? Of what?” Penguin wonders as he turns from his position to see multiple robotic guards.
“This is new,” Bepo lets out nervously as they stand their ground.
“I have a feeling guns aren’t gonna take these guys down,” Killer says as he pushes a button on his wrists, activating his other weapons.
Kid just grins as he’s been itching for a good fight,
“Nothing I can’t handle,” Kid says as he clenches his left hand into a fist.
The robots ready their hands, a laser pointer coming out of one and others firing bullets rapidly. The gang is quick to move into action, dodging to get some cover as one of the robots fires a small missile at them. But Kid uses his left fist, hitting it dead on and sending it flying back at them.
It hits two, causing a huge explosion as the robots hit part of the structure. It causes the structure above it to come crumbling down, none of them expecting what happened next---
Where someone comes out from the explosion of debris and onto the next rafter above it.
No way, there ain’t no fucking way!
“Is that---” Bepo perks up as it’s hard to tell with all the chaos.
Not to mention that the person is already on the move, especially as robotic dogs are hot on their tail.
“Kid!” Killer calls out as the alpha takes off, wasting no time in trying to get to them.
As he uses the fallen structure to help get him up higher while chaos is still going on around them. The others try to follow but the other robots make it difficult and soon it’s Kid running after the person on the rafters…
Kid enters another area when he hears gunshots and sees one robotic dog fall off the side of the rafter and towards the ground. There’s still more as snarls and growls are loud and the sound of footsteps up ahead…
Kid catches up enough where he can see partially through the dark area. Where parts of light shine through and land on the mysterious person every few seconds.
Thump
Thump
Thump
It can’t be…don’t tell him that he’s dreaming again…don’t tell him that he’s hallucinating…
It’s been years, two whole years and finally---
One robotic dog leaps to land on the person, the male acting fast as he rolls forward, the dog missing before the male swipes his foot back, kicking the dog square in the face and up and over the railing. The other dog uses this chance to attack but the male pulls out his knife and jams it right into its chest as it comes down on top of him.
Sparks fly, the robotic dog malfunctioning as the male kicks up and flings it off the railing too, taking his knife and switching it in his hand, moving at the same time of Kid reaching him.
The male feels Kid trying to help him up, taking Kid’s outstretched hand and uses it to his advantage. He twists them, Kid almost falling off the railing,
“Wait! I’m not trying to hurt you!” Kid lets out but moves just as fast now.
Having no choice as both try to get the upper hand as the rafter sways. Their melee fighting isn’t bad as they seem to be pretty equal at the moment. It’s not until Kid clips one of the chains on the rafter where they start to fall down to another.
“Shit!” Kid curses as he worries for the male that he lands hard on the rafter below.
Finding the male wasn’t going to run and comes at him, Kid swiping his knife right at the same time. But that was the male’s distraction as he male swipes his gun.
Kid growls out, pushing back, the two moving in a melee like dance before the two come to a stand still.
And right here there’s more light as the two stand face to face. With Kid holding the knife right up to the male’s throat, all at the same time of the male pressing the gun to Kid’s throat.
There’s no mistaking it…
Those eyes…
That face…
Those tattoos…
“Law…” Kid breathes out as his heart skips a beat before pounding strongly.
He found him…he finally found him after all this time…
