Chapter Text
Husk and Angel have had an… interesting relationship since the beginning of the hotel. And continuing to work close to each other made it worse.
In Husk’s opinion, Angel is obnoxious and too flirty despite Husk’s lack of interest.
In Angel’s opinion, Husk is a judgemental drunk who needs to loosen up.
So you could say they aren’t exactly friends.
Angel is rarely at the hotel anyway, always off with Valentino (doing something Husk is very sure he does not want to know about) and Husk is always at the bar so they don’t spend too much time with each other.
That doesn’t stop them from getting on each other’s nerves.
Angel saunters into the hotel, later than usual. Husk is finishing up a conversation with Charlie, pointedly ignoring Angel who is now sitting beside her. “Hey, Cha-Cha.”
“Hi Angel! How was work?” Charlie, being her usual peppy self, smiles widely.
“Oh, you know. The usual.” Angel shrugs and moves his eyes to Husk. “Hey Whiskers, make me a drink will ya?”
Husk rolls his eyes. “Stop calling me that.” He growls, sliding a drink towards Angel who catches it with one hand. He runs one of his other hands through his hair and winks at Husk.
“Thanks, Husky.” Angel purrs, taking a long sip of his drink.
“Night, Husk.” Charlie yawns, walking off towards bed.
There’s a few minutes of silence, the light clinking of glasses being the only noise. Until there’s a dull thump and an exaggerated yawn. Husk turns around to see Angel stretching in a way that purposefully shows off his chest fluff. “Don’t wait up, kitty.” He says, getting up from his stool and wandering towards his bed.
Husk cleans Angel’s glass and goes off to bed himself, Angel’s stupid remarks playing on repeat in his head. He groans, shoving his face aggressively into the pillow.
Husk isn’t sure why Angel’s face and voice won’t leave his head but he really, really, really, REALLY wants it to.
