    When he reached the door, he stopped, frozen. His breath came in rapid huffs, panic settling into his bones. He needed a weapon, he needed a weapon right now. The door was the only thing keeping them all safe and it wouldn’t for long. Hitoshi was frozen behind him but they were both sharing the same thought. Izuku opened himself up to his boyfriend, letting him feel what Izuku felt.
    Hitoshi stumbled back.
    “No…” He gasped. “No, not here. Izuku-”
    Izuku’s right eye twitched. “GET DOWN!”
    The room burst into action. Hero students snapped to attention, more than a few of them obeying Izuku’s order without question. The door shattered into several pieces, a dark shadow dove over Izuku’s frame and into the center of the room.

    OR: Izuku and Hitoshi escaped the fighting arenas once, will they be able to survive being thrown back in? The underground refuses to let it's best fighters go, no matter how hard Izuku and Hitoshi fight for their freedom. Maybe this time they an put an end to it.

    Izuku dragged himself to his desk, tore it apart until he found the paint set his mother had bought him to shut him up on his last birthday. He found an old canvas in the corner and wiped the dust off. He turned the light on, and he put brush to canvas, and he let that pain flow into the colors. Izuku let the ache in his bones, the searing red coating his throat all dribble across the canvas like the blood that he continued to cough up, splattering his desk.
    Minutes or hours later, it was dark outside his window and the glow of his desk lamp was the only light in the whole apartment. He stood up, covered in red and green, black and white. He’d sobbed the pain and emotion from his body but not through tears. His fingers were coated in paint and he felt…better.

    OR: Izuku finally gives up on being a hero, and accepts that he's never felt as free as when he paints. So he decides to become an artist and put his past pain to canvas for the word to see.

    Izuku Midoriya is unlucky, to say the least and life hasn't exactly been kind. Things weren't so bad in the beginning, but once he was diagnosed quirkless, well, it all went to shit. Everyone grew to hate him, even his best friend and own father.

    Was it really that impossible to become a hero without a quirk? It doesn't really matter because to Izuku, the term hero is flexible. He'll be his own hero because he's learnt from his own experience, people are selfish and the only one he can rely on is himself.

    Left alone to fend for himself in the world, Izuku goes out to change things on his own terms, despite his methods being slightly illegal. Keyword, slightly. It's only illegal if he gets caught, right?
