Marinette was not quite sure how she ended up in this potion with Kagami. Not literally but figuratively. After having met her during which she was dating Ariden she had hated her for that reason. Hated her for being better than her. Hater her for getting everything she wanted.
But then they got to know each other. Gotten close. Hell she even gave Kagami the Dragon Miraculous. They had become friends and had gotten close with each other outside of her being Aridens girlfriend.
Marinette was able to get over Ariden soon after they became friends and dated Luka for a bit before they agreed they were better as friends. But now here Kagami was standing in front of her after having used her Miraculous.
Now normally this is pretty common for this to happen, but Marinette was not Ladybug right now. She was just Marinette. It was pouring rain outside not due to the villain that was running a muk and there was standing in the pouring rain as Kagami had just transformed in front of her.
Before the villain of the day had shown their ugly head Marinette was just talking to Kagami about how she had recently broken up with Ariden. Marinette had talked to Ariden too and it just seemed the two of them were not feeling it anymore so they went their separate ways but would stay friends.
Then of course before there was more to talk about, the villain of the day came and ruined it. Of course that was when Kagami transformed into miraculous.
"There is a lot more that I want to say." Kagami started, "But we do not have the time to get all into it. The bottom line is that I had fallen in love with you. And I don't want to keep a secret like this from you; it just ruins a relationship. Kagami was cupping Marinette's face as she spoke, smiling while doing so. I am going to help take care of this then I will be back okay?"
"Okay." Marinette said not sure what else there was she could say. That was when Kagami gave her quick kiss and she was off shouting at Marinette to stay safe. Little did the other know that she herself was going to be helping. Walking quickly with her cane she made her way somewhere safe, opened her laptop and started the comms system.
There was so much more that they needed to talk about.
But right now Kagami needs to be Ryuko.
And Marinette needs to be Nobody.
