Tighnari observed with an unamused expression as the pink haired reporter started a race after the tall student that just a moment ago had fled the scene. It was a cute little moment, seeing someone that petite and that desperate trying to catch up with the long-legged prince of the dark.

He clicked with his tongue.

It’d be a lie to say that he’s not familiar with that peculiar first year, who right after appearing on the campus started to gain more and more popularity. Honestly speaking, it wasn’t necessarily irritating - as Tighnari didn’t really feel any need for such attention. But, this whole “cold prince” trope that constantly surrounded the Haravatat student was getting old really fast and Tighnari started to get tired just look at those ridiculous displays of superiority.

In any other normal setting, he could just ignore the guy. Simply avoid a slightest sight of him and completely dedicate himself to live a happy academic life on the other side of the campus.

Yeah.

In any other normal setting, where there was no mutual connection between them.

Not in this timeline though.

“That pompous ass- I can’t believe it!”

A sudden, clearly irritated gasp shot through the air, making all of the somewhat quiet group shiver in surprise. Not Tighnari. He was just waiting for this reaction. Well, in fact any reaction really. It’s not like this guy, who was constantly, 24/7 irritated with his unreasonable roommate, would let such a thing just slide by with no commentary.

With a small turn of head his bored and already tired eyes met with a pair of fiery orbs. Their owner looked actually annoyed, probably because of the interrupted interview. The guy huffed in irritation, mumbling a few more curses under his breath while trying to tug a few unruly strand of golden hair back to his ponytail.

“Kaveh-“ Tighnari started with a deep sigh, but abruptly got interrupted by another male that was also suddenly captured and dragged into this journalistic farce. All this time the tanned man was just standing there in silence with his arms crossed over the chest.

“Since the lady reporter is gone, can we also be on our way?” he spoke stoically, maybe even with a bit of coldness and pinch of irritation. Tighnari’s ears twitched slightly at the lower tone. Low and smooth.

It probably wasn’t supposed to be a mean remark, but a genuine question. Probably. But the other two guys of the MMM crew who stayed with them just glared in response. The crew started to check something on their phones and camera, exchanging hushed comments and confirmations. After a few more moments they were informed that soon the commercial break would be over anyway and since they don’t have of them the script with agreed questions … they were free to go.

“What? No! You can’t do that!” Kaveh tried to protest for a little bit longer, but at this point the crew turned off their camera and focused completely on the still live broadcast from their second source. It looked like the cute reporter had already found a new victim student for the interview, leaving the three of them behind and long forgotten.

Out of his kindness, Tighnari gave the crew directions to the current location of the reporter, which now officially was the end of the incomplete fiasco interview.

He noticed that the stoic guy had also already left without any other comment. Shame. It’d be nice to hear this delicious low tone again…

Tighnari shook his head in embarrassment. What on earth was he thinking about?

“Come on, let’s not make a scene…” With a strange feeling at the pit of his chest, the dark haired man placed a hand on the taller one’s shoulder. Kaveh was still fuming, mumbling curses at his roommate and the unfairness of the world.

Sigh.

It was most definitely a big headache coming.
