I have no experience in writing fanfics, so this fanfic might have a lot of mistakes.

Chapter Text

The trial just ended, and the traveler won. Everyone was left in disbelief as they learned that the person they all trusted from the start, the one they worshipped, the so-called ‘Hydro Archon’, was a fake from the start, but If she wasn’t the Archon, then who was? They all thought, also making suspicions about who could be the Hydro Archon.

Furina was silent while all of this was happening. She just couldn’t help but to cry as she now knew that all her hard work was for nothing. Her 500 years' worth of suffering went down the drain just like that; it went so fast, and it was unexpected.

She started crying silently as she felt an intense feeling of sadness. She quickly covered her face with her hands, not wanting anyone to see her like this. She continued crying silently for a long time, while the people started leaving.

After a long time of non-stop crying, Furina finally stood up and started leaving. While walking to the exit door, she noticed that everybody had already left. After some time, she was finally close to the exit door, but she stopped when she was right in front of the door.

She started feeling anxious as she thought about what would happen if the people of Fontaine saw her again. She didn’t want to face them, but at the same time, she couldn’t just stay here forever, so she tried gathering all her courage, and then she finally opened the door.

When she opened the door, she was immediately met with the gazes of the people judging her. She was caught off guard by this, but then again, it wasn’t surprising that people were looking at her this way. She tried to just ignore them and just walk away without saying a word; she didn’t want to cause any conflict.

Her plan worked, and she was relieved, but then, someone dragged her to a secluded alleyway. She was caught off guard by this, as she was thrown to the wall, with a lot of force. She fell to the ground, as she groaned in pain. She tried looking up to see who this person was and saw a tall man with a smirk on his face

“Pffftttt... What a weak person you are.” He said, making fun of her, while she was on the ground, trying to stand up again.

He laughed as his expression suddenly turned to an angry one. He went closer to Furina, and kicked her in the stomach, sending her crashing to the wall once again. This time, he used almost double the force as when he threw her to the wall.

“YOU F**KING B*TCH, THIS IS WHAT YOU GET FOR LYING TO ALL OF US.” He said, screaming at Furina in anger, as he started kicking her repeatedly, all around her body.

Furina tried to escape, but failed. She tried to endure this pain as long as possible, but then she started coughing violently, as blood started coming out. She tried to stop, but she couldn’t. She continued coughing, as she started to feel her throat burning.

“HOW ABOUT I SHOW YOU WHO REALLY IS BOSS HERE.” The man said, still with an angry tone, but this time with a smirk on his face.

He suddenly pulled out a knife from his pocket and started to make deep cuts all over Furina's body, planning to make her bleed out.

Furina teared up, as the intensity of the pain she was feeling was so strong. She cried, while also seeing how her own blood was creating a small puddle surrounding her.

“How about we end this now?” The man said, his smirk getting bigger.

He leaned down and grabbed Furina by her hair. Furina's eyes went wide when she realized what he was going to do. She tried to get out of his grip, but she was in a really weak state to do so.

“Y-you… You aren’t going to actually smash my head... Are you?” She said while she was stuttering and her voice was shaky.

“So you're finally speaking, mmm? Anyway, don’t worry, this is going to be fast.” He said, It was clear that his voice was full of hatred towards her.

He got ready as he was about to finally end this miserable life of hers, by smashing her head against the wall, but then…

“Stop right there.” Someone said in a commanding tone.

The voice sounded familiar to Furina as she looked at the person who just said that. It turned out that it was Neuvillette, with an angry expression. Furina looked at him, feeling a little bit of happiness inside of her. She was thankful that Neuvillette came at the right time.

Neuvillette ordered some guards to take the man away, and then he turned to Furina, looking at her blood-soaked clothes, before finally turning around and leaving her.

Furina suddenly felt sad again, when she saw how Neuvillette had just left, without saying a word to her.

Suddenly, the sky started to rumble, as gray clouds started to appear. Not so long later, it started to rain heavily. Furina got up and tried to find a refuge in the rain. She ended up finding a cheap hotel to stay at since she still had some mora with her.

She couldn’t help but notice how the receptionist looked at her in a judging way while she was getting a room, but she tried to just forget about it. She also needed to pay extra because of what happened in the trial recently.

When she arrived at her room, she immediately went to the bathroom to shower and to treat her wounds. After a long time, she finally came out of the bathroom. She now felt better, but she still felt an intense level of pain all throughout her body, making her struggle to stand, and it also made her feel kind of light-headed.

“Shit…” She whispered to herself.

Maybe sleeping will help. She thought to herself, as she started to walk to the bed, almost falling, but she finally reached the bed before doing so.

She lay on the bed and closed her eyes, but she didn’t fall asleep instantly, the pain that she felt was preventing her to do so. She closed her eyes, trying to fall asleep, and after a long time of trying to fall asleep, she finally did.
