Lloyd woke up nice and early. He grabbed his phone to check for notifications he missed while in his slumber. He saw a couple of Chirp notifications, a few from his email, and a bunch of notifications from Ninjagram. This struck him in a weird way, his social accounts weren’t very active, even before the Merge. He just wasn’t one to post often, unlike Kai, who posted a few times a day.
He opened Ninjagram and looked at the notifications. Someone followed him. Huh. The ninjas have been outed as alive after the Empress’s disastrous attack, but he didn’t expect them to go check for their socials. Lloyd clicked on their profile.

Lloyd looked at the others and saw that this person had liked all his posts. There was a single comment under a photo he posted for his eighteenth birthday, mere hours before the Merge happened.
@Raiden_00 So you’re finally legal? Haha! I turned 18 that year too!
The comment struck Lloyd in a weird way, but he decided that it was probably just him being paranoid. So he typed a reply.

@Dragoni-Lloyd Yup! Funny how we’re close in age!
Lloyd sent it and turned his phone off and got up. It was time for training.

Once he was ready he left his room and walked out onto the training field. Arin and Sora were waiting for him there. “Goodmorning Lloyd!” Arin greeted when he spotted the blond in green.
Lloyd gave Arin a small wave. “Hello Arin! Sora! Glad to see you up and awake for training!” Lloyd said, turning to his other student.
Sora looked up at Lloyd and smiled. “Guess I’m finally used to waking up at dawn.” She told her teacher, looking back towards Arin. “So, where do we start?”

Lloyd was letting the kids take a break as he scrolled on his phone when he got a notification from Ninjagram again. He tapped on it and Ninjagram opened. When it loaded, Lloyd looked at it and saw that the user replied to his comment.
@Raiden_00 Yup! You wanna follow me and I’ll follow you? Please? We could talk to each other in DM’s! I mean, you don’t have to, I just don’t have many friends, y’know?
Lloyd read the comment three times and he had a feeling in his gut. But he decided to trust Raiden_00.
With an off feeling, Lloyd clicked the follow button.
