Chapter 2: Egg Pac Au.

Summary:

Pac gotta stop claiming he's an egg otherwise I might hyperfixate on that claim /hj

Tws: self loathing, uncaring behavior, almost panic attacks.

Also note. This is age regression of sorts, not age play. This is non sexual. If Pac is regressed he does not view anyone in a romantic way. HE IS A CHILD!!!

Chapter Text

Pac views Bagi as a sort of motherly figure; he regularly makes jokes about taking Empanadas place, and he even wanted to make his own egg room in her house.

He views Empanada as like a little sister, and loves to hang out with her and Bagi. It bothers him how much taller he is and feels silly acting like this, but he's reassured that this is a healthy way to cope with trauma, and he deserves to have a childhood of sorts. The orphanage and needing to protect Mike made him grow up very quickly. Doesn't stop him from feeling intense guilt, or shame. Only Empanada and her mothers are aware of this. (Also his soulmate.)

He fears the idea of Fit thinking he's some kind of weirdo. He doesn't want to freak out Tubbo. He has to stay hidden. It succeeds for a while until.

The eye workers attack. Empanada loses a life despite Pac, Fit and Bagi all trying their hardest. Pac was killed multiple times and he's now very emotional, slightly regressed and wants to seek a little bit of comfort, so he turns to his mother figure but..

Bagi is devastated. Pac goes to try and comfort both of them, before she is ready. She lashes out in fear/anger/hurt and says "you should have tried harder to help your sister." (Obviously not really aware of what she's saying. She is grieving and suffering from intense feelings of failure.) Fit is confused at what she means by this.

Pac is devastated. He backs away muttering a muffled "desculpe" and runs away, past Fit and goes to the one of the only places he feels safe. Surrounded by roses.

Fit searches and finds him on top of his house in the Rose garden. He seems sort of floaty and out of it, but after seeing Fit he forces himself to act normal. He keeps saying he can't let this happen again, he won't let this happen again. He won't be the weakest in the favela anymore. Fit doesn't understand what he means. He thinks Pac has taken the happy pills again, Pac had never told him about his regression, so he's trying to figure out what he means by all this. But he can't see the pills.

Fit watches as Pac trains himself to get stronger. Pac isn't the same. Not happy pills like but, he seems emotionally repressed. Fit misses hanging out with him. He always seemed strained or not himself. Other people are noticing too. He's careless. He's running into danger to help others but not caring about the injuries he acquires.

Bagi apologizes to Pac, and he says she was right. He shouldn't be acting like that when they have kids they need to look after. No one should be concerned about looking after him because he likes to pretend to be an egg sometimes. Bagi is concerned, but he waves her off, saying he has stuff to do, and he doesn't need to bother her. She figures he will get over it hopefully.

Almost 2 months have passed now. Bagi is worried after noticing he hasn't come by to hang out as Pacovo for weeks. She goes to Fit, and he's also worried once she explains the whole thing to him. He's surprised to learn about it but he doesn't find it weird. Probably better then suppressing all his emotions. He is alarmed at how Pac was ignoring the coping mechanism that works for him and also at the fact Pac is avoiding him, and always seems to be on watch. Pac has eyebags. He's constantly looking for threats to the eggs. He's guarding their beds while they sleep and watching them from a distance constantly. Fit's worried Pac's gonna get seriously injured or killed.

Fit eventually finds Pac on the verge of regression. He's ashamed and scared. Pac is forcing himself to ignore his coping mechanism to help protect everyone else. He has to. He has to protect his little sister. He has to protect Richas and Ramon. He has to be stronger to stop himself from being easy prey to the federation/ Cellbit. He doesn't know that Fit knows, until Fit gently breaks it to him that its okay to regress.

Fit says it's normal to allow yourself some time to relax and be vulnerable, that he needs to calm down or he's going to hurt himself. Pac is immediately on the defensive. Pac huffs at his words, saying Fit wouldn't understand because he's a strong person, while Pac is weak and just pretending. He's pathetic for needing to be small to live a normal life and he's never going to do it again. He's going to make sure of it. Then he will be strong.

"You know that's not true Pac. You're just as strong as anyone else here." Fit says trying to reason with the other. He tries to reach out, take his hand and offer some comfort.

Pac snaps back at him pulling away saying "Why can't you let me protect you!?" He steps back avoiding Fit's hand and is just glaring at him. In his sleep deprived brain he's taking Fit's reassurance as Fit not believing in him

Fit is stunned. He tries to just reply with "We're trying to help you because we care about you!
He reaches out again but Pac just scoffs and turns around. He's shaking intensely, looking almost like he wants to cry. But he refuses.

"I wish you wouldn't." Pac replied in an unusually cold voice and then storms off.

"I don't need anyone's help." He shouts into the night sky, as Fit stands there in shock. He's going to give Pac some space and then maybe try a different approach.

Feeling helpless Fit decides to go to Tubbo for advice, but he doesn't want to tell the whole story, so he leaves out some details which results in Tubbo not being able to give helpful advice. Not that he's usually helpful with Fit's boy troubles.

Tubbo tries with the usual "Why are you asking me? Ask Phil. But realizing Fit is genuinely distressed he tries to cheer him up a lil. "Just be there for him man... idk why you want me to fix your boyfriend..." Ignoring Fit's response about them just being room mates and that Tubbo is being unhelpful. Tubbo scoffs back that if he's only gonna tell him 30% of the story what does he expect.

A few more days pass.

Fit and Bagi are beyond worried when Pac goes missing, following him lashing out. They go to the Ilha Warehouse, and find heaps of materials and potion remains everywhere. There is shattered glass all over the floor and it reeks of chemicals. There is luckily no blood.

It seems like Pac was serious in trying to find a more drastic solution to his problem, when he already had a perfectly fine coping mechanism. The two walk further into the lab down the halls and past Richas' empty room and inside Mike's room they find a bed. Mike's room isn't empty.

They find shaking under some blankets, a very young non verbal egg wearing a blue hoodie. An oversized blue Pacman hoodie. It seems very upset and scared and tries to run, but it's missing a leg. It's very small, even smaller then Richarlyson. It clumsily tries to sign "go away" but that ain't fooling anyone. Fit and Bagi eye each other and then look at the egg trying to bury itself into the bed further.

Fit carries his tiny room-mate to his special egg room in Bagis house. They give him one of the special Cucurucho cookies and some warm milk and Bagi brings out some little blocks for him to play with. The egg seems hesitant to touch the toys, hesitant to be vulnerable, until they pretend to be sitting at a table having a normal conversation, at which point he relaxes and reaches for the blocks.

Fit and Bagi watch the tiny egg building little building happily and they both feel relived. He's trying to build a replica of Chume Labs, which he's nailing, but he's starting to run out of blocks faster then expected.

Bagi decides to start calling the little egg "Pequito".

Fit is startled when the little egg shakily waddles over to him (they had managed to find one of Richas' old prosthetics for him) and shyly demands in sign that he would like a hug. He can see the egg is at the point of almost bursting into tears and is shaking slightly. It's probably scary to wake up as an egg. Seeing the world suddenly from such a short perspective would be scary.

Fit softens a little and picks up the tiny egg, kissing the top of his shell, before passing him to Bagi, who coos at him and takes him to his egg bed. She places him on the egg bed and passes him a little plush creeper.

She quietly sings him a lullaby and the little egg finally drifts off into the most restful sleep it's had in weeks. Clutching the plushie close, and relaxing.

The next day, Pac is back to normal. He had woken up human in an egg bed and immediately warps out of the room and runs to his base. After one small freak out he had walked out into the living room space to find Fit there. He is once again embarrassed and goes bright red and such but Fit confronts him in a soft manner.

He lays it out that he's proud of Pac, but Pac needs to stop being so self deprecating. He says that he needs to stop being ashamed of something that helps him live after all the horrors he's lived through or Fit is going to MAKE HIM stop feeling that way. Pac perks up a little hearing this and pretty much says " oh yeah? sounds good to me!." Fit goes red saying he didn't mean it like that, and Pac smiles, trying not to laugh.

Fit also says he's proud that he has a wonderful caretaker in Bagi, and Pac points out it's not only Bagi but sometimes Mouse and Tina. Fit says he understands and is happy that Pac is comfortable with a few different people.

Fit also mentions he understands if Pac is uncomfortable with him knowing he will remove himself from the situation whenever it arises. He doesn't want to overstep.

Pac explains that; its hard for him to date someone, but them also look after him when he is mentally a child, the fact that he doesn't want to weird anyone out so he probably would rather separate those parts of his life. He explains that when he regresses, all his romantic feelings just stay with adult Pac, and don't carry over to egg Pac. It's weird but makes sense in a way.

However, he's not opposed to spending time with Fit when he's Pequito, he would just feel more comfortable with someone else being his primary caretaker. He also mentions that he doesn't need to regress too often so it's not like he would be gone all the time. Just every now and then when he gets anxious.

Fit smirks after hearing all this and says he's gonna be "Pequitos favorite Tio", and Pac punches him jokingly. "You would have to fight someone else for that, Tio Craft might not like that."

Fit leans in and jokingly says "what was that about wanting to date someone? Something about romantic feelings? Why mention that to me?" Pac goes bright red and runs away, saying he needs to go see Tubbo about something.

They find out next time he regresses, that the physical change is permanent when he's small. He's happy now that he's the same size as his big sister Empanada.

It isn't all smooth sailing however. There are incidents.

Pequito sulks at the fact that he regressed 4k blocks out and had to be carried back due to not having brought his egg-leg. Tubbo laughs saying he shouldn't have fallen in a lake and spooked himself.

Fit laughs at the pout on the small egg, shooting a message to Bagi saying she has a little angry ovo on his way to her.

Chapter 3: Ghost Fit au

Summary:

Fit dies on Vaccus Island. (Temporarily)

Trigger warnings;

Mentions of hallucinations, depression and death. 1 crude joke.

Lots of POV switching.

Chapter Text

Fit upon being thrown into the cave hits his head and refuses to eat the corpses so he dies. Madagio temporarily blocks his respawn, to teach him a lesson, so he's stuck wandering as a ghost. (It's like he's not dead-dead he's just in limbo)

He decides with nothing better to do, to just walk back to Quesadilla Island. He can go see his family!

Pac is alone. It's been weeks since he's seen Fit. He's getting stronger, so it won't hurt as much when people don't come back. He knows Fit wouldn't stay away by choice, but it still hurts. He misses Fit and he misses his kids.

At the start of the 5th week, he sees something. It's Fit. He's mid conversation with Phil, and he sees Fit appear behind Phil. But...

Fit is half transparent, and his head is covered in blood. It's not the real Fit. It can't be. Fit is with his boss. He's started hallucinating, it seems. He ends the conversation with Phil and decides to ignore his delusions. If he feeds into them, he will lose the last scrap of sanity he has. He's not strong enough for that yet.

Fit finally makes it back. He sees Pac! He floats over and puts a hand on Phil.

It goes right through.

Oh yeah. He's not in his real body. Unfortunate.

He moves around to stand in between.

Neither even glance in his direction. They must be able to see him. There is no point in even trying to communicate.

His heart drops at this. He is forced to now observe the world and not interact. Not until Madagio lets him revive. She's not exactly the most.... lenient it seems.

He has to sit and watch them move on without him, a part of him thinks. He tries to ignore that.

The hallucinations are becoming more frequent. Pac can almost always see Fit around him. Just watching him. At least it's like he's still around, but....

He misses his family. His friends. It's so hard being so alone. He wants a happy pill. He knows he can't have any. They're all gone anyway. Cellbit made sure of that.

The eggs are in deep sleep. He has a warp stone. He can get back if he needs to. He tells his friends about the situation. Tubbo and Phil reassure him they will contact him if either of his sons wake up.

Pac has decided to journey to old spawn to see if there's any portals or clues he can use to get Fit back. The radio station Ramón had mentioned was gone. A blank chunk remains in the coordinates.

Pac begins the long walk. He doesn't tell anyone where he is going.

Fit of course follows him.
He has nothing better to do.

He doesn't know where Pac is going or why Pac is going. But Fit is lonely. He's missing being able to talk to people, he wants to feel even a hand shake from someone. He's touch starved and miserable.

He just follows along behind Pac. He keeps watch at night. Like a weird angel.

Pac is just continuing along slowly, he's like 70k blocks from his new house now. The journey is rumored to be 200k blocks Tubbo had mentioned one time. He will get there. He has to.

Fit looks up to see dinosaurs in front of Pac. But these ones look hostile. They're territorial because they have young with them. If Pac gets near, or continues on his path, he will upset the parents.

Pac hasn't noticed yet. He's trapped in his head. Fit has to do something, try anything.

"Pac, look out!" Fit says, trying with all his might to get Pac's attention. He decides to reach for Pac's shoulder.

Pac does a full body flinch, he is hearing a voice and feeling... something.

It didn't feel right. A half touch, maybe. The voice was distant. He wasn't paying attention.

He turned around.

The hallucination.

"Pac, watch out, there's hostile mobs ahead." 'It' says, pointing at the family of dinosaurs he was about to disturb. Its voice sounds like Fit, but echoey. Like he was in a cave. Pac quickly backs up to safety and then pauses.

"Fitchi? I really have lost it." Pac says, sighing, turning back and looking at the image of his partner. His feet hurt. He should set up camp soon.

Fit really stops and looks at Pac. The eye bags, the bruises, the cuts, the fact his eyes are red now. He's still the most beautiful person in the world, and nothing will change that. He just looks tired. Like he's over everything the world's thrown at him, and he's just surviving now.

"Pac, please. I'm real." He tries again, reaching for Pac's hand, which was out stretched hesitantly.

Pac looks at the image and watches it reach for him. He feels.... something touch him. It feels like a strong breeze mixed with an almost jelly feeling. He frowns. He had never had hallucinations with physical elements before. He didn't even think it was a thing.

"Say something only Fit would know. Say something, that my brain hasn't made up to trick me." Pac pleaded. He could feel tears welling up on his eyes. If he had been ignoring his only connection to saving his partner ...

"When I left that day, and I looked back at you by your house. I really wish I had kissed you goodbye. You looked so beautiful, and I never want to forget how you looked at me when I was leaving." Fit said, with more confidence than he ever thought he had. He needed Pac to realize he was here. He was real.

Pac sunk to his knees and cried. It was the real Fit. It had to be. He had been ignoring him for what reason? Pride? He was such a terrible partner. And if Fit was like this...

"Você...você...morreu... you.. died." He said, sobbing into his hands. "Desculpe... Fitch.. I wasn't there to help you."

He felt that weird touch again on his hands, Fit was smiling down at him gently holding his hands. Fit squatted next to him.

"Pac. It's not your fault. There's nothing you could have done." He stood up again, making sure the family of reptiles had taken off (they had).

"I should have been there!" Pac wailed, standing up, shaking slightly. He was unable to make eye contact.

"Oh, Pac." Fit said gently, wrapping him in his arms best he could. He didn't want to pass through Pac's body accidentally.

It was weird. The hug was cold, but it also warmed him from the inside. Pac could feel himself relax a bit.

Fit took a step back after and rubbed his head.
"I'm not like... proper dead. My boss is blocking my respawn temporarily to keep me in limbo so I learn a lesson. I'm guessing they didn't think I would be able to do this." He explained.

Pac let out a sigh of relief. Fit was, well, not alive but not permanently dead. He would be coming back.

"I missed you so much.." he whispered, looking away.

"I know, Pac. I saw."

"I thought I was going crazy, like the pills again? I didn't want to lose it completely..."

"It's okay, Pac. I'm pretty sure you're the only one who can see me anyway. I thought I was invisible."

Pac pulled out his warpstone.

"I wonder, if you hold me, will you be transported too?"

"Probably. I've been just touching your hair quickly to do it for weeks already." Fit said casually, looking away.

Pac shot a glace at Fit, who had the decency to at least pretend to be ashamed.

"What? Am I not allowed to be my Brazilian Boyfriends guardian angel?" He said, smiling at his partner, who was raising his eyebrow.

Pac shook his head and motioned to Fit to grab on before he warped them home.

Laying in his bed that night, he felt lighter. Like everything would be okay. They would work together to find how to being Fit home, and then take down the federation for his boss. Fit had explained what happened on that island, and Pac was immediately on board with destroying the government.

He opened his eyes to see Fit floating on the ceiling above him. Lurking almost. He was too far away for Pac's liking.

"Fitchi, what are you doing there... come here, I want to cuddle." He said, making grabby hands.

Fit looked a bit hesitant at that, sort of giving Pac a look with confusion. He was unsure.

"Come lay on me. Please?" Pac pleaded with him.

"Fine, but don't get freaked out if I accidentally go inside you," Fit said, floating down and laying his head on Pacs chest, wrapping an arm over him. Half like Pac's cats did.

"Oh Fitch! You wanna be inside me already? We've only been on one date!" Pac said, giggling trying to lighten the mood and making Fit more flustered was always a bonus.

"If my body wasn't dead on another island, I would be getting up and leaving right now! That's not what I meant, and you know it, Pac." Fit said, face down on Pacs chest. He should be unable to blush. He was a ghost. But he could still feel his face burning.

"I know, I just missed you," Pac giggled quietly, leaving a soft smile on his face, trying to get used to this situation.

Pac felt kind of weird. It was like a weird sensation being cuddled by Fit's soul. He didn't care. It was the safest he had felt in weeks. Fit was here and he knew he would be okay.

"Eu....te amo," Fit said, looking towards Pac, who jolted hearing those words from the older . Fit was gazing into Pacs eyes with warmth, somehow bright red.

"I love you too," Pac said softly into the room, drifting off into one of the best sleeps he had, in weeks.
