“What?!No! I won’t sign!” Mark screamed.
“Come on,Mark,we both know that Waddle is under.It’s in the best interest of Squawk to buy it.”said Millonara Vanderbucks.
“It’ll be a subsidiary!”
“You’ll still be in charge.”
“No! I can get Waddle out of the red!”
“How?You’re no longer focused on your company.You’re more focused on getting the Gizmoduck armor.If you sell Waddle to me,you’ll still be in charge, but there’ll be someone to get Waddle back on its feet.”
“So,I’ll be a puppet leader?!”
“You’ll have plenty of time to get the Gizmoduck armor.”Millonara pointed out.
Mark picked up the contract.Millonara had a lot of good points.Waddle was under.He’ll still be in charge,admittedly he’ll be a puppet leader.But his determination to get the Gizmoduck armor had undermined his reputation.And ability to lead a successful company.
Mark read the contract.Everything seemed legitimate.
“Okay.”said Mark,sadly,picking up a pen to sign his name.
Millonara smiled.
“See,Mark,that wasn’t so bad,now was it?Now all we need to do is get this notarized, and everything will be legal.”said Millonara,taking the contract.
“So,I’m still in charge until all of this is legalized?”asked Mark.
“Of course.”
“Oh,good.”
“Good.We’ll get this notarized tomorrow.”said Millonara as she headed towards the door.
“Tomorrow?”said Mark in a shocked voice.
“Yes. I want this done as soon as possible.”said Millonara before leaving.
But Millonara’s reason for wanting to notarize the acquisition of Waddle was more than just wanting it done as soon as possible.She knew Mark would try to wiggle his way out of the acquisition.Whether through lawyers,or fleeing,Millonara didn’t know,all she knew was that he was going to fail due to the lack of funds due to his obsession with the Gizmoduck armor.

Louie was on his phone,looking at how well his business was doing.He already had a couple of subsidiaries, and a sizable bank account. But Louie Inc. still wasn’t a known business yet.Some people have heard of it, but not enough to make it as noteworthy as Scrooge’s business,or even Glomgold’s.
Louie suddenly got a notification on his phone.According to the notification,fledgling tech company,Squawk brought out Waddle. Louie put down his phone, and turned on the television.This was something he had to see for himself.
Louie kept flipping the channels until he got to the news.He didn’t know what channel that was because he got all his news from social media(even if it wasn’t entirely reliable), but he felt this was something worth watching.Finally he found the channel.
“Yes. I’m so happy to bring Waddle back to its former glory.”said the woman on the screen.
Louie looked at the television suspiciously.There was something about her that seemed off about her.
“Uncle Scrooge!”yelled Louie.If anyone could spot a shady business person,it was him.
“What is it lad?”said Scrooge,arriving in the living room,looking annoyed.
Louie simply pointed to the television.Scrooge looked at the television in curiosity.
“So,what plans do you have for Waddle?”asked Roxanne Featherly.
“A more effective leader for starters. I plan on having Waddle make the same tech that Squawk does so people can choose between the companies.”said the woman.
“Oh,that’s Millonara Vanderbucks. She founded Squawk.Didn’t think she would buy Waddle.Well, I wish her the best of luck with dealing with Mark Beaks.”said Scrooge,chuckling as he left the living room.
But Louie simply glared at the television. He knew a scheming face when he saw one, and while this woman may not be lying about what she planned on doing with Waddle,Louie knew she was up to something.
But what,he didn’t know.

Millonara was back in her office at Squawk headquarters. She couldn’t believe how easy it was to buy Waddle from Mark Beaks!Of course,Mark Beaks made it easy by his obsession with the Gizmoduck armor.But the other companies in Duckburg weren’t going to be as easy to persuade as Mark Beaks.
Millonara looked through the newspaper to see who her next target should be.Scrooge McDuck was the richest man in Duckburg,not to mention the world.Scrooge was always going on adventures, and was unknowingly robbed by the Mad Ducktor.But would it be easy to persuade him to sell his business to her?
No.Millonara would need to use a weakness of his to get him to fold.Until then,she’ll focus on the other businesses in Duckburg.Like Glomgold Industries…
Flintheart Glomgold was obsessed with one-upping Scrooge McDuck. He was essentially an older,richer version of Mark Beaks.Millonara couldn’t help but smile.
“After I buy Glomgold Industries, I’ll go after Scrooge’s business.Then I’ll be the richest woman in the world!”said Millonara with a laugh.
