Summary
"Not now, Jack Merridew," he muttered with no emotion, shutting the door and trying to push past the taller boy, who simply stood in his path.
"So, Ralph, is it true?" the redhead asked him, tone loud and grating, grabbing Ralph's forearm in a way that was sure to leave bruises.
Ralph grimaced, unsure of what to do- respond to the question, or pretend to not hear. In a moment of indecisiveness, he kept his mouth shut.
Going for the latter option, however, was not a good call- the fair boy gasped as he felt the taller boy's nails dig into his skin, trying his best to snatch his hand away to no avail. The two boys stood facing each other, locked in violence.
"What's true, Merridew?" Ralph conceded, looking into the boy's eyes.
"Well, you know." Jack leant in closer, smirking. "About your dad. Maurice told me he's insane. Is that true?"
