Summary
Approximately six years after they make it back from the island.
Ralph came back, a broken boy, who decided to live for the people who died because of him, that's what he thinks; he blames himself. The people, which are Piggy and Simon, and that littlun—Mulberry boy, who Ralph never knew the real name of. For the ones who can no longer live the lives that were laid out for them. The lives they deserve, but now, Ralph, has to be that person, the person for all three boys; that they were meant to be. The person that he's scared he can't be. But, he has that chance, the chance they'll never get.
Forever boys, forever stuck on that island. Forever fighting to survive.
But, he. He can live for them. Be the person they would've been. Or could've been.Ralph and Jack trauma bond, six years later.
I'm not actually in England so sorry if I mess up anything, anyways they're year 13 in college or senior in highschool. They're 18 years old, about to graduate highschool. So around spring time, but it's England so cloudy and icky.

Through the buzzing, through the gentle mourning roar of the waves, there was another sound.
A cry.
Behind him, from the woods, there came a hurried thrum, closer and closer, before finally jolting the earth behind him. The ocean found his hair again, and his outstretched hand, and tried to pull him away. Simon hummed — more of a sensation than a sound — and let his vision fade at last. Did his eyes shut too? Were they ever open?
It didn’t matter.
It was time.
“Not yet,” came a murmur, wet and quiet and harsh. A hand on his arm. The ocean drew up, pulling at his hand and hair again, but the hand pulled him away for good.

Ralph had no idea how much time had passed since their rescue, but it didn’t matter at this point. He could hardly hear his own thoughts over the ocean waves and the sounds of suffering echoing through the thin walls. The interior of the ship itself was quite warm, and so was the blanket, but Ralph shivered nonetheless. He could feel the gaze of his assigned adult pointed at his sunburnt back, but he ignored it. After what felt like hours, he finally spoke.

Summary
Ralph looked at his spear, the same one the sow's head had been mounted on. The same one the Hunters worshiped as "The Lord of the Flies." Ralph didn't like using it but it was the only weapon he had. The crusted blood on the tip was what remained of the sow's body. Ralph remembered seeing its lifeless head and beady eyes as flies swarmed it, landing on what little of its decaying flesh remained. It was a grotesque sight that left him deeply disturbed. How much longer until he ended up like that?

Ralph heard him before he saw him. The boastful, arrogant tone that carries through rooms – or, as Ralph knows him from, over an entire island. And sure enough, he turns the corner in the building, and is met with the fiery red hair, still just as tall as when they were kids. Jack Merridew.
Ralph hadn’t seen any of the boys since the island, not until now. He’d managed to avoid a few close calls over the years, but it’s been ten years. He’d figured he had escaped that time of his life.

He was informed it was a boarding school of sorts, a private institution for “special” teenagers. Ralph knew what this meant, of course, it was simply a school where parents could send their troubled, bothersome, children away to forget about them for a while. All sorts of people that Ralph did not want to come into contact with.
But only after a few hours of driving, he arrived.
The events of the Island traumatized Ralph Albeck beyond repair, after tiring of their mentally ill son, his parent's send him off to a boarding school. What will Ralph do when he finds familiar faces at his new school? And what will happen when he finds out he is sharing a room with one of them?

He was trapped inside the Psychiatric hospital, forced to take cure sessions, and most importantly, losing the freedom that he was always chasing for.
And that is the time when he starts to dream about those times when they are still on that island, wishing for a chance to dive back through time.
