Summary
At age sixteen, Tony devises an algorithm to fish Steve out of the Arctic. The crush he develops on the super soldier is… an unfortunate by-product. Thankfully, his foolish infatuation with the Captain is somewhat outgrown. Tony knows better than to fall in love with a man he’ll never be able to live up to.
And then, at age twenty-one, Tony runs into some trouble with the Winter Soldier; Steve’s lover from a lifetime ago.

Steve had always worried about Tony. He’d worried the boy would become too much like his father. But somewhere down the road, Tony stopped being Howard’s cocky little teenaged son, and started being Tony Stark — the one and only. Somehow, he grew up. And Steve knows it’s wrong. He was practically a father figure to Tony, and the fact he can’t stop thinking about him sours his stomach with guilt.
That is until Bucky comes back. And suddenly, everything Steve has ever wanted is put on the line.
