Summary
This is a multi-chapter work about the romance between the reader (Laoise) and Mary Goore.
Set in the 1990s, Laoise is a 14-year-old student from Ireland when she meets Swedish 15-year-old Mary through a foreign exchange project arranged by their high schools. The pair are assigned to each other and are expected to write letters and exchange photographs before they meet in 3 months. The hope is that they'll strike up a friendship and teach each other languages, cultures, and so on.
The pair hit it off very well: both are shy, polite, and artistic teenagers, and they seem to have some common interests despite being very distinct individuals already.
Follow for updates on this teen '90s friendship and what happens eventually: will they fall in love and be long-distance high school sweethearts or will they get sundered and learn a lesson about love and friendship?
