   Summary

   Thomas is granted a reprieve, but it reaches the axeman far too late. Brutalized, he is taken to a private cottage to be seen to until other arrangements can be made. Thomas has to learn to live in this new world he has been forced into, one filled with pain that is both physical and emotional. When he learns that Henry wants to see him, he must ask himself: Is their relationship worth salvaging?
