The truck pulled into the compound and parked just a few feet from the underground prison where they’d been keeping Jesse— the same prison he’d escaped from that evening.
The entire reason Andrea had been brought into this mess.
He was so stupid.
Frankie and Matt were already waiting for them, the grate already open. They dragged her out of the truck bed kicking and screaming and disappeared underground where Jesse couldn’t see what they were doing to her. His imagination conjured up gruesome situation after gruesome situation, her screams only adding to the horror he pictured.
And then she fell silent.
Think, Jesse. Think!
Matt reappeared and gave a signal to Jack.
“All right, boys. They’re ready for us. Let’s give ‘im a good show.”
Show? What were they going to make him watch?
