Summary
The blood is coming out in a steady trickle from a big gash in the middle of her abdomen. The fabric of her top is split in two, showing the ragged edges of the wound, and I’m glad there’s too much gore to make out anything beyond the first layers of muscle. I’m not sure I’m ready to see Nav’s intestines just yet.
“Take off your shirt,” I tell her.
“Wow,” she tries to smirk, but her whole face twitches in pain. “You could at least buy me dinner first.”
In a Seattle riddled with zombies, raiders, and annoying rainstorms, Harrowhark finally meets her former best friend after crossing almost the whole country to find her. Her end goal is to kill her, the problem is that Gideon is hurt and she’s bleeding out in a bathtub, and Harrow has to keep her alive if she doesn't want Death to take away her chance at getting revenge.
From there, things, as they tend to do, don't go as planned.
