Work Text:
Aziraphale was preparing breakfast, humming, when he felt two long arms wrapped around his waist from behind and Crowley's body pressed against him.
His lover rested his chin on his shoulder and Aziraphale turned his head to him and said softly, "Good morning, my love, did you sleep well?"
Crowley didn't answer, just mumbled and buried his face in Aziraphale's neck.
Aziraphale chuckled softly and, turning in Crowley's arms, said into his hair, "Looks like someone's in need today."
Crowley nuzzled Aziraphale's neck and muttered, "I woke up alone, without the comfort of my lover. So yes, I need some affection."
Aziraphale laughed again.
"You're too sweet for words, you know."
Crowley murmured into Aziraphale's neck again, "I didn't hear anything you just said. Especially me and sweet in the same sentence."
He started to pull away, but Aziraphale stopped him, wrapped his arms around Crowley's waist and planted a light kiss on his lips.
"Hey, don't be offended. You need affection, so I'll give you affection."
Aziraphale slid his arms from Crowley's waist to his neck, pulling him closer as Crowley's arms settled around his waist again, breathing deeply into Aziraphale's neck.
Aziraphale kissed his hair and continued to hold him, occasionally running his hands up and down Crowley's back and sighing in contentment.
After a moment, Aziraphale murmured in an amused tone, "So today's the day I find out that you are actually clingy."
He felt Crowley tense in his arms and, stroking his back gently, he continued, "But that doesn't mean I don't like it, quite the opposite. "
Given his history, Aziraphale suspected that Crowley had not often allowed himself to be so vulnerable. Once again, he was humbled by the absolute trust his lover placed in him.
He cupped Crowley's face in his hands and said softly, "I love it. I really do. I don't laugh at you at all. Crowley, whatever you need, I want to give it to you. Even if it's a hug in the middle of the kitchen."
Crowley took Aziraphale's hands from his cheeks and brought them to his lips before saying softly, "I don't deserve you, Aziraphale. But it's too late for me to let you go."
Aziraphale, also embarrassed, chuckled slightly, "Well, you'll have to get off my back anyway, because if you need affection, I'm sure you'll need your morning coffee after this."
"A hug and coffee, oh my angel, you really are the love of my life."
"It doesn't take much to make you happy, I see."
Aziraphale chuckled softly as he turned back to the counter to continue preparing breakfast.
And if it took a little longer than necessary because Crowley didn't hesitate to indulge his craving for affection, Aziraphale didn't take offense, happy to give the one he loved what he needed.
