Official Story Notes for my fanfic series!!!
When are they?
- They're in the same timeline as season 1 and pretty much nothing has changed except Reginald is dead and the apocalypse is over. Ben is still gone and the sparrows don't exist. My story takes place about 4-7 months after they get back from Season 2. So the road trip is probably in late august or early september.
If everything is the same, where are Patch/Leonard/Patrick/other side characters?
- They still exist. Viktor didn't want to go back to Leonard (obviously) and he's not going to have a place in this story.
- Diego is still in love with Lila and him and Patch are friends now (frenemies more like), but again, Patch won't be in this story at all.
- Allison did not get back together with Patrick but she shares custody of Claire now.
Where are they?
- The same city season 1 takes place in, but they're on a roadtrip, so they're in different places across the US.
What are all the characters doing?
OKAY THE PART IM MOST EXCITED ABOUT....
-Allison moved back to LA
-Diego, Viktor, Five, Lila, Luther, and Klaus all stayed in the same city, but they live in different places now.
Allison=Moved back to LA to be with Claire. Claire is still about 8 here since it's still 2019. Allison lives in a different house than Patrick now. She's learning how to become a better mom, and still does acting gigs on the side, mostly for commercials and stuff. She kind of fell off after the whole Patrick scandal thing.
Luther=works as a part time science teacher for elementary school kids at a neighborhood school. Still lives at the Academy. It's kind of run down and scary but he doesn't have to pay bills. He loves the kids and they're really really important to him. He bakes them cookies and they call him Mr. Luther.
Diego=works at a ninja gym cleaning up equipment and helping people complete the courses (if you don't know what a ninja gym is think american ninja warrior). it's not as fun as working in the boxing gym for him, but he still loves running the courses and competing and pretending he's still doing missions and stuff. He moved into an apartment with Lila.
Lila=works the evening shift at a food truck on weekends and picks up shifts at a ramen shop for extra money, as well as taking community college classes. She's not sure what she wants to do yet, but she likes psychology and criminology a lot. Her and Five do classes at the same college, but they would never sign up for a class together.
Five=tutors at a community college, and takes classes there as well. Him and Lila like to do homework together and yell at each other in the library study rooms. He lives alone in an apartment, but he likes to keep fish and goes to a coffeeshop every weekend to do crosswords, plan murders (of historical figures), and read vintage comic books.
Klaus=works at a coffeeshop and lives in a small apartment (coincidentally it's near where Diego and Lila live). Been off and on sober for the last few months. Hangs out with all his brothers a lot (they call him the clingy one) and basically only uses his apartment to sleep. Lila likes to go over to where he works and annoy him. So does Diego. But Klaus secretly likes it.
Viktor=teaches music lessons to kids and adults. Joined an LGBTQ+ orchestra and that's been really fun for him. He hangs out with Luther a lot because they live near each other. Diego and Lila host game nights and he goes over to those about once a month. Klaus brings him snacks sometimes at orchestra practice and Five sometimes goes over to his house for movie nights and stuff.

- Diego and Lila host drunk/stoned game nights, but when Klaus is really struggling they do mocktail game nights instead.
- It's still hard for Viktor to feel like he's part of the family sometimes, but he makes everyone add to his "worst siblings ever" spotify playlist and Luther is always the first one to add new songs.
- Lila wants kids, but is scared about what kind of mom she'll be/the impact it'll have on her relationship with Diego, and she calls Allison for advice a lot.
- Viktor and Five mall walk a lot. It helps Five when he's feeling really bored and antsy.
- Sometimes Luther tries to give pointers to Lila and Five about their science classes that they take at the community college (eg intro biology, physics) but they never want help.
Notes about Inconsistencies
-So in the Allison chapter I said that Lila wasn't there, but in the Klaus chapter, it's implied that Lila was there from the start. That's because I wrote the Allison chapter last year, and I wrote the Klaus chapter pretty recently. But just for the story's sake, Lila and Diego do live together pre-roadtrip. It was hard for Lila to come back at first (she thought everyone hated her and that Diego didn't want to be with her anymore, but they're all good with each other now).
- Honestly, I feel like Five, Lila, and Diego would sort of be restless without some sort of mission to do, but I don't want to include a whole detective subplot or something. Also, this series is supposed to be just fun/emotional stuff and stuff that I wish would happen, so no detective/mission subplot here :( sorry.
Final notes
- This story is basically just a way to write about fluffy, emotional family stuff so don't take the plot and stuff too seriously, or try to put everything on a timeline or get some big themes from it.
