Summary:

1997, El Paso, Texas.
Due to Leon's incompetence and destruction of mall arcade property (way to go, meat head), he comes up with the excellent idea to recreate the arcade game he was playing in real life! A zombie shooter IRL? What could possibly go wrong?

However, Leon's plans take an unexpected turn when he finds a strange CRT TV sitting in his garage...

This work is NOT my own writing.
It's made by a cool friend of mine, and he doesn't use AO3. This version of The Static Box is a repost from the original BGUnlimited website, therefore all credits go to the original creator. All I did was convert the writing to be suitable for this platform and create a snazzy custom work skin. You may see several spacing and format changes I did to match with the wider screen of this site but everything else is the same, as well as the overall dialogue and narration.

Note that TSB is a heavily altered Brawl Stars AU, and brawler designs will vary from the original franchise. All names are the same but their personalities, family status, relationships and hobbies are mostly headcanoned. This is not said to warn that you won't be able to recognize these characters. It just means all these brawlers no longer have their abilities and are regular humans living in the 90's.
