Stede is decorating a Christmas tree, while Ed looks at him in wide-eyed, 'cheerful as a child'-like wonder.
Ed is in his leathers and Stede is wearing a comfy looking orangey sweater with golden swirls in the fabric. Stede is holding a cuppa (tea) and seems to be pointing to something on the tree.
The tree is decorated with a few coloured baubles (yellow, orange-red, and deep blue) – there's also a unicorn bauble – and a golden string of fairy lights. The setting of the artwork is extremely cosy and 'hyggelig'.
