Chapter 1: Dance strategy

Chapter Text

The Crows were preparing for a mission. During a grand ball hosted by an influential merchant, an informant was supposed to appear to pass on critical information about human trafficking. Before the mission, the group got ready, dressing in elegant attire befitting the occasion. Jesper, as always, took the opportunity to tease Wylan, suggesting that his merchant upbringing might finally prove useful—hinting that Wylan probably knew the traditional dances and had attended such events before.

When they arrived at the ball, however, they encountered an unexpected problem. The informant turned out to be a wealthy woman from Shu-Han, constantly surrounded by a retinue of imposing bodyguards. Any attempts to approach her or strike up a private conversation seemed impossible. The six of them huddled together in the midst of the festivities, debating their next move, when the orchestra began a new song, and couples started gathering on the dance floor.

Wylan suddenly spoke up. "I have an idea," he said, before making his way toward the informant. To everyone’s surprise, Wylan approached the woman and extended his hand, inviting her to dance. Her bodyguards could only watch as she accepted—after all, this particular dance was one taught exclusively among the wealthiest families. By asking her to join, Wylan demonstrated he wasn’t just anyone.

As they danced, Wylan engaged her in conversation, skillfully gleaning the information they needed. Meanwhile, the rest of the team stood on the sidelines, awestruck by his resourcefulness. Jesper, in particular, couldn’t help but admire Wylan’s graceful movements and clever thinking.

When the dance ended, Wylan returned to the group, casually relaying everything he had learned. "Looks like my merchant skills came in handy after all," he said with a sly grin toward Jesper. Before they could delve into the details, a group of young women approached, eager to dance with Wylan. BWylan, clearly flustered, glanced around uncertainly, but before he could respond, Jesper stepped in with a wide grin and saying "Sorry, ladies, this dancer is already taken." Then, grabbing Wylan’s hand, he led him away from the dance floor.

The end.

So when it was Wylan's turn to try to make Jesper blush he was already very tipsy. So he comes up with an evil plan and whispers to Jesper the kinkiest things he would do to him. Jesper takes a shot for the first time during this game and doesn't tell anyone what Wylan told him. And Wylan is proud of himself.

Chapter 3: A dose of life

Notes:

Hehe something very angsty BUT with comfort at the end!!!

Chapter Text

Kaz, Inej, and Jesper infiltrated Van Eck's villa on a night when a party provided the perfect cover. Jan Van Eck would be occupied in the dining room among the guests, accompanied by his wife. However his son, Wylan Van Eck, was reportedly confined under constant care and wasn't atteding this party. Believing Wylan posed no threat, the trio moved stealthily through the villa, intent on their mission to retrieve critical documents.

As they traversed the opulent halls, they paused in a small, dimly lit room with a fireplace to discuss their next move. Suddenly, they noticed a red-haired boy seated in a wheelchair, his vacant gaze fixed on the flickering flames. It was Wylan himself, his frail form and detached demeanor confirming the rumors of his physical and mental fragility. Initially dismissing him as harmless, their assumption shattered when his weak voice cut through the silence, offering to guide them to the office in exchange for something in return. He asked for a tea infused with a chemical Jesper and Inej did not recognize, though Kaz understood its nature instantly. It was a poison, swift and painless. The boy’s words carried a chilling sincerity as he confessed how his father had stolen his life, leaving him trapped in a haze of tonics that dulled his mind and erased his sense of self. Death, he whispered, felt like the only way to reclaim himself.

The three stood frozen, grappling with the unthinkable reality of his plea. It was Inej who finally stepped forward, taking Wylan’s hand in a gesture of comfort and quietly promising they would help him. His hollow, haunted gaze seemed to tell the story of the torment he had endured. When Kaz questioned how Wylan knew about the poison, the boy revealed a long-buried passion for chemistry, a spark of the person he had once been.

An agreement was struck: Wylan would guide them to the office, and in return, they would help him escape. Though his expression remained detached, as if lost in the firelight, Wylan’s faint, trembling voice broke the silence to ask one final question—whether they truly promised. The weight of his fragile hope hung in the air as they gave their word.

The trio successfully retrieved the documents, and, true to their promise, returned days later to rescue Wylan. His condition was dire. A healer confirmed that the substances he had been forced to take would leave lasting damage, but there was still hope for recovery. Jesper and Inej took the lead in caring for him, though even Kaz offered his own kind of support. As the months passed, Wylan began to change. The frail, withdrawn boy who had once seemed lost to the world grew stronger, his spirit reemerging bit by bit. His natural kindness, undiminished by the horrors he had endured, endeared him to everyone around him. Though plagued by nightmares and haunted by memories of his past, he found strength in the support of his newfound companions. Jesper’s steady encouragement helped him believe in the possibility of a brighter future.. Slowly, Wylan found not just hope but belief in a future filled with love, friendship, and the possibility of happiness.

Chapter 4: School AU

Notes:

School go brrrrrr

Chapter Text

Wylan is a new student born into a wealthy family. The other five come up with a plan to take advantage of him and his connection to his father—they plan to rob his father. But as days go by, they realize Wylan is a total sweetheart: kind, humble, and nothing like the stereotypical rich kid. Their meetings at the café gradually turn into casual conversations and their plan slowly falls into the background.

About a month later, Kaz brings it up their plan again, saying, "We have to finally ask him about his father." During one of their meetings, they finally try to ask him, but there's a plot twist: Wylan responds with, "It took you long enough to ask me."

It turns out Wylan had overheard them talking about using him and mocking him shortly after they first met. Even though it hurt, he thought that this fake niceness was better than the loneliness he had experienced most of his life. The revelation leads to an awkward but heartfelt conversation, and somehow, they manage to sort things out.

Chapter 5: So close to freedom

Summary:

TW: Character death, Blood

Notes:

I need bloody hurt
sorry not sorry :3

Chapter Text

Wylan gets separated from the group during a mission when they are ambushed. The attackers snatch his bag of chemicals and bombs, throwing it far from his reach. The impact is so intense that a chain reaction causes everything to explode. Wylan is gravely injured, bleeding heavily. He knows he’s dying, alone in this ruined room, consumed by pain.

With the last of his strength, he drags himself toward the door, leaving a trail of blood behind. Just as his fingers touch the handle, one of the attackers, barely alive, fires a shot at him. The door creaks open slightly, tantalizingly close to freedom—so close, he might have survived.

The rest of the group hears the explosion and immediately rushes toward the scene. The rest of the group arrives to find the aftermath of the explosion—a room in ruins, scorch marks on the walls, and the bodies of the attackers strewn across the floor. Jesper finds Wylan’s cold, bloodied body lying motionless.

Chapter 6: A desperate call

Summary:

TW: Violence, Child abuse, Hospitalization

Chapter Text

Wylan had been sneaking into his father's office for a months, diligently downloading data from the computer onto his pendrive. This was his mission from Kaz —to gather enough evidence to put Jan Van Eck behind bars. Finally, after weeks of effort, Wylan managed to download everything. But as he prepared to leave, his father caught him in the office.

Jan, as always, dismissed Wylan as a fool, too inept to suspect any real scheme. Wylan quickly slipped the flash drive into his pocket, but Jan’s fury was palpable. The confrontation escalated, with Jan’s anger boiling over. After a brief scuffle, Wylan fled to hide in the bathroom of his room, stashing the pendrive in a drawer along the way.

Jan wasn’t finished. He stormed after Wylan, hammering on the bathroom door. Panicked, Wylan fumbled for his phone and called Kaz. When Kaz answered, Wylan quickly explained where the flash drive was and begged him to have Inej retrieve it. Kaz, ever pragmatic, dismissed the urgency. Kaz, irritated, responded “Why are you bothering me with this? You can give it to me yourself.” At that moment, Jan’s pounding grew louder, and Wylan’s voice cracked. “He caught me,” Wylan whispered, his fear palpable. “Kaz, thank you for everything.”

Before Kaz could respond, the sound of the door splintering reverberated through the line. Jan burst in, his rage erupting at the sight of Wylan on the phone. This only made things worse. Wylan was now defenseless. The only thing Kaz heard were screams, desperate pleas for mercy, and horrific noises as Jan attacked his son. The call was abruptly cut off.

For the first time in his life, Kaz Brekker felt a chill of terror. Without wasting a second, he called the rest of the crew. His voice was sharp, clipped, but held an urgency they’d never heard before. “Wylan needs help. NOW.” By the time the crew reached Wylan, the scene was horrific. Wylan lay unconscious, his body battered, ribs broken, and blood staining the floor. The crew rushed him to the hospital, but his condition was critical.

The pendrive Wylan had risked everything for was retrieved, and its contents—combined with the recorded conversation between Kaz and Wylan, as well as the damning evidence of Wylan’s injuries—were enough to have Jan Van Eck arrested. Even the best lawyers couldn’t save him.

But there was no celebration among the crew. Instead, they waited anxiously in the hospital, their victory overshadowed by the fear of losing Wylan. However, despite the victory, the five of them were not celebrating. They sat in the hospital, anxiously waiting for news on Wylan’s condition.

Chapter 7: Don'r piss off Wylan

Summary:

TW: Graphic minor characters death, kidnapping

Notes:

Badass Wylan <3

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Kaz, Inej, Jesper, Nina, and Matthias were kidnapped and locked in a cell. Despite being together, they were unable to break out. The cell was crafted by skilled fabricators and a damn good ones at that. All they could do was wait. Meanwhile, Wylan discovered his friends had been taken. The kidnappers demanded he surrender his entire fortune or risk never seeing them again. What they failed to consider was how dangerous it was to threaten his friends—especially the love of his life.

Two days later, Wylan agree to meet the kidnappers in an abandoned warehouse. The building had a basement, and that’s where the others were being held. Everything about the meeting seemed normal: Wylan arrived, the kidnapper stood waiting with armed guards. But what the kidnappers didn’t know was that Wylan had already rigged the entire warehouse with bombs. These weren’t ordinary explosives—they released a deadly gas that caused excruciating death.

When the bombs detonated, chaos erupted. The guards panicked and collapsed, writhing in agony. Wylan, wearing a mask that he had previously hidden under his cloak, stepped forward with a gaze so cold it could freeze fire. One by one, the kidnappers fell, their screams echoing through the warehouse. Wylan stepped over the main kidnapper, pressing a boot to his shoulder, and leaned down to deliver a single chilling warning.

In the basement, the five prisoners sat in silence, too drained to speak, when the faint sound of distant screams reached them. Alarm spread as they heard footsteps approaching the door. Were the kidnappers coming to finish what they’d started? Instead, the door burst open to reveal Wylan. Without a word, he tossed masks to each of them. “Put these on. Quickly.”

As they followed him out, the sight above stunned them. Bodies were strewn everywhere, the aftermath of Wylan’s carefully orchestrated fury. Wylan said nothing, his focus unshaken as he led them to safety. Behind him, the devastation spoke louder than words.

Chapter 8: Expert

Chapter Text

The six of Crows sat around the worn table in Kaz's office, staring at the strange blueprints they’d found on their mission. Wylan sat quietly at the edge, his eyes darting between the schematics and the others as they argued. He opened his mouth to speak, but Jesper cut in with a joke. He tried again, but Inej raised a question. A third time but Kaz waved a hand, already moving on.

Finally, Jesper sighed, his patience fraying. “Wylan, why don’t you go back to making your bombs? We’ll handle this.” For a moment, Wylan froze, his face carefully neutral. Then he started gathering his papers and tools, his hands steady but his jaw tight. The others paid him little attention, their debate continuing. He stood and headed for the door but paused just before crossing the threshold.

Suddenly, Wylan spun around, his voice louder than anyone had ever heard it. “If you had asked me,” he began, his tone sharp and precise, “I would have told you that this is a design for a steam-powered mining drill. And I’m sure you’ve also figured out—for yourselves, of course—that this particular component is made of iron. Which means the system will overheat and fail long before it’s useful. But no, you’re the experts, so I’ll just go back to making my bombs.”

For a long moment, no one spoke. “What the hell just happened?” Jesper finally asked, looking around. Wylan turned to leave, but this time, Kaz spoke before he could reach the door. “Wait,” Kaz said, his voice calm but firm. Wylan paused, his back still to them. “Sit down and explain” Kaz added, gesturing to the table.

Wylan glanced over his shoulder, his expression unreadable. Slowly, he walked back and set his things down, pulling the plans toward him. “Fine,” he muttered. “But listen this time.”

Chapter 9: Useful

Summary:

TW: Non-consensual drug use?

Chapter Text

Wylan dealt in various substances and expolives and sells them in the Barrel. His reputation caught Kaz’s attention, prompting him to arrange a meeting. One evening, when the Crow Club was closed, the Crows and Wylan sat down for drinks to discuss potential cooperation.

Kaz laid out his offer with his usual sharp precision, but Wylan seemed unimpressed, leaning back casually as he sipped his drink. Despite Kaz’s best attempts to engage him, Wylan seems not very interested in what Kaz offers in return.. As the tension built, Kaz’s tone turned colder, his words sharper. Finally, he began to threaten Wylan. Wylan didn’t flinch. Instead, he tilted his head and said with a faint smile, "Hmm, you don’t feel a little sleepy?" Kaz froze mid-sentence, his expression darkening before his legs buckled. He crumpled to the floor in an alarming heap.

The rest of the group erupted. Jesper shot to his feet, cursing. Inej’s eyes narrowed, scanning Wylan for weapons, while Ninashe prepared her hands for action. "What did you do?" Jesper snarled, hand hovering over his pistols. Wylan stood, brushing off his coat like he hadn’t just rendered Kaz Brekker unconscious. "Relax," he said, his tone calm but firm. "If something’s wrong with him, you know where to find me."

Inej with cold and sharp gaze said. "Slipping something into Kaz’s drink will have consequences. You don’t know what you’ve just done."

Wylan gave a small shrug, his expression infuriatingly composed. "I do. I just proved I’m more useful than he thought."

Chapter 11: Justified murder

Summary:

TW: Character death (JAN IS FUCKINF DEAD!!!!)

Chapter Text

Moder AU, Wylan still visits his father occasionally, though his real reason for going is to see Alys and his young stepsister, Plumje. One evening, during a family dinner, Jan turns his attention to Plumje, sharply questioning her about her reading progress. Wylan notices how Plumje shrinks under the weight of the question, stammering out an answer. His father’s response—a cold, disdainful look—sends a chill down Wylan’s spine. It’s the same look Wylan grew up with, the one that made him feel worthless. In that moment, Wylan realizes that Plumje struggles with reading, just as he once did.

The encounter shakes Wylan to his core. When he returns home, the memory haunts him, and panic sets in. He can’t stop imagining Plumje suffering the same abuse he endured. Over the following weeks, Wylan grows increasingly anxious and distracted. His friends notice something is wrong, but he evades their questions. Though they’ve always known Jan Van Eck was cruel, Wylan has never shared the full extent of his childhood trauma.

As his fear for Plumje deepens and his own memories weigh heavier, Wylan comes to a desperate conclusion: no one will believe him if he speaks out, and the only way to protect Plumje is to take matters into his own hands. One night, driven by sheer panic and a grim resolve, Wylan kills his father.

The next day, emotions still raw and spiraling, Wylan joins his friends for a movie night. They’re all laughing and distracted until the broadcast cuts to a breaking news report: billionaire Jan Van Eck has been found murdered. Everyone freezes, stunned by the announcement—everyone except Wylan. Kaz, always perceptive, immediately puts the pieces together. Though even he seems momentarily surprised, he turns to Wylan and bluntly asks, “Did you do it?” Wylan can no longer hold himself together. The question shatters the fragile wall he’s built, and he breaks down completely. Through tears and trembling words, he confesses everything—what he saw, his fear for Plumje, and for the first time, the full truth about the abuse he suffered at his father’s hands. With every word, Wylan's friends feel an undeniable sense of relief that Jan Van Eck is gone. But beneath that relief a deep sadness that Wylan had been pushed to such an act, that he’d carried so much pain alone for so long.

His own beard remains patchy and barely noticeable, while Wylan’s grows in full and even. Jesper teases him about it—until Wylan casually mentions that with the beard, he almost looks like Colm. At that moment, Jesper stops laughing and insists Wylan shave it off immediately.

Chapter 14: Just math

Chapter Text

Wylan may be a grade below the rest of his friends, but that doesn’t stop him from spending every break with them. A naturally gifted student, he always completes his homework at home and never boasts about his grades, so everyone assumes he’s just as average as they are.

One day, during a break, Jesper is struggling with a math assignment that could determine whether he passes. The group gathers to help, everyone except Wylan, of course. He’s younger and hasn’t even covered this material yet… right?

But then, Wylan glances at Jesper’s work and immediately starts pointing out mistakes, effortlessly explaining how to solve the problems correctly. The group stares in shock—how does he even know this? When Jesper follows his advice and gets the right answers, he calls Wylan a genius. Wylan, caught off guard, turns red and mutters, “It’s just math.” That’s the moment they all realize that kid is way smarter than they ever gave him credit for.

Chapter 15: Unhealthy coping mechanism

Summary:

TW: Mentioned abuse, unhealthy coping mechanism, "bullying"

Chapter Text

Jan was sent to prison for illegal business dealings. However, the full extent of his cruelty never came to light. While Wylan's friends know bits of his childhood, no one truly knew the horrors Wylan endured under his father's roof. His mother, Marya, tried to protect him, but even after divorcing Jan, she was unable to gain custody of their son.

Now, Wylan lives with her, and on the surface, his life seems to be improving. He no longer has to face his father’s wrath, and for the first time in years, he has a home that feels somewhat safe. But wounds like his don’t simply heal with time. The fear his father instilled in him lingers, shaping the way he moves through the world. He’s become more paranoid, constantly on edge, never certain when someone might try to hurt him again.

At some point, without fully realizing it, he develops an unhealthy coping mechanism. He begins provoking other students—picking fights, pushing them just far enough that they lash out at him. The bruises, the blows, the pain—it’s something familiar. In a twisted way, it gives him a sense of control, a feeling that the world still operates on rules he understands. If he can predict the hurt, maybe it won’t take him by surprise.

At first, no one questions it. Accidents happen, and Wylan has always been the type to brush things off. But as the bruises become more frequent, his friends and mother begin to notice. Every time they ask, he waves them away with a laugh, blaming his clumsiness. Still, the unease settles in their minds, refusing to be ignored. Eventually, the group decides they need real answers. They send Inej to quietly observe him. She sees the way Wylan inserts himself into dangerous situations, how he deliberately incites the worst kind of students, practically inviting their aggression. It doesn’t look like recklessness—it looks like intention.

When she brings this information back to the group, they waste no time. They confront Wylan, cornering him with their concern. At first, he denies it, deflecting as he always does. But under the weight of their insistence, the pressure finally cracks him open. With hesitation, with shame, he admits to what he’s been doing. And as the words leave his mouth, he wonders if he’ll ever be free of his father’s shadow.

Chapter 16: Kerch and Fjerdan

Chapter 17: Crime podcast

Summary:

TW: Mention of murder

Notes:

I'm in my murder subs phase :v

Chapter Text

Wylan sat in the livingroom, focused on his sketchpad, his pencil moving fluidly as he worked. The faint hum of his headphones barely broke the silence of the room, but it didn’t go unnoticed by the others. Jesper squinted, trying to make out what he was listening to, but all he could catch were muffled words. Unable to resist, he walked over.

"Hey, Wylan, what are you listening to?" Jesper asked, leaning in.

Wylan didn’t look up, his attention fixed on his drawing. “A podcast,” he answered nonchalantly. Jesper raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. “What about?”

Wylan’s pencil paused for a moment, and then he looked up, his face suddenly alive with unexpected enthusiasm. “A serial killer case,” he said, his eyes gleaming with interest.
The others watched in silence as Wylan started to describe the case, his voice picking up speed, clearly fascinated by the details. His excitement was palpable, even though the topic was anything but light. He spoke of the theories that the wrong person might have been caught, of the chilling unknowns surrounding the case and the brutal details of the murder.

Jesper exchanged an uneasy glance with Matthias. Wylan, still drawing, didn’t seem phased by the macabre nature of the story. However, Nina and Inej were pleasantly surprised to learn that Wylan, too, enjoyed such podcasts. Matthias raised an eyebrow, trying to make sense of it all. “So instead of music, you’re listening to... that?”

Wylan shrugged, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. “I find it interesting”

Jesper couldn’t help but add, “Great, so when you’re relaxing, you’re listening to stories about dismemberment?”

Wylan’s eyes flickered up, his expression still calm. “Sometimes I listen to airplane disasters too,” he said, almost matter-of-factly.

Wylan went back to drawing, his pencil gliding effortlessly across the paper as if nothing had happened.

Chapter Text

Wylan has always had a soft spot for cats. No matter where he is, he can't resist stopping to pet them, feed them, and shower them with affection. Seeing how much joy they bring him, Jesper, being the best boyfriend in the world, decides to give him the perfect birthday gift, a kitten of his own.

After some searching, he finds a tiny, fluffy kitten with dazzling blue eyes, a little ball of fur that instantly reminds him of Wylan. Pleased with his choice, he can’t wait to see the look on Wylan’s face when he presents the kitten to him. What Jesper doesn’t realize, however, is that their friends have come up with the exact same idea. But instead of a soft, fluffy kitten, they decide to take a different approach, choosing a Sphynx cat as Wylan’s gift. It’s only when Jesper excitedly shares his plan that they all realize they’ve accidentally coordinated the most chaotic yet perfect birthday surprise.

When Wylan’s birthday finally arrives, he is stunned to receive not one, but two kittens. And yet, he adores them both instantly. With a wide grin, he names the sleek, hairless Sphynx Orfeo and the soft, fluffy kitten Rubin.

As time goes on, Rubin grows... and grows... until it becomes clear that the little ball of fluff Jesper picked out is actually a Maine Coon. And to Jesper’s dismay, Orfeo quickly develops a special talent, tormenting him at every opportunity

Chapter 22: Left or right

Chapter Text

Everyone knows that Wylan has dyslexia, which makes reading impossible for him. But people tend to forget about the other effects of dyslexia.

During the planning of their next mission, Kaz gives him what seems like a simple set of directions at first glance. When their target start to follow him Wylan needs to go toward the spot where the rest of the crew will be waiting. To get there, he has to turn right, then left twice, then right again, and finally left.

The problem? Wylan struggles with distinguishing left from right, not that he’s even fully aware of it himself. Sometimes, he just mixes them up. But that happens to everyone sometimes, right?

This time, though, that one mistake almost ended in disaster.

Chapter 23: Hunger

Chapter Text

5 times Wylan was hungry and 1 time he could eat enough.

1.As punishment, Jan Van Eck locked Wylan in a room without dinner. Wylan was just a child at the time, and it was the first time he had ever truly experienced hunger.

2.After the failed assassination attempt on his life, Wylan had nowhere to go. He wandered the streets of Ketterdam for days, his stomach aching with hunger, until he eventually found work at a tannery. The job was grueling, but at least it meant he could afford a little food.

3.Even with the tannery job and the extra money he made by playing the flute on the streets, Wylan still struggled to buy enough food. He had to save what little he earned to pay for a place to sleep, and whatever money he made from music was often stolen before he could even spend it. When Kaz found him again, he saw the desperation in Wylan’s eyes and used it to his advantage, manipulating him into helping with yet another scheme.

4.While the crew hides out in the cemetery, preparing their plan to take down Pekka, there is little time for rest, let alone a proper meal. Wylan, like the others, pushes through his exhaustion, knowing there’s no room for weakness. He throws himself into his work, using it as a distraction from the hunger and fatigue steadily creeping in.

5. After the Darkling is finally defeated, the Crows can, at last, breathe again. A small meal, just some soup and bread, is offered to them, but Wylan is still too shaken to eat. The weight of everything that has happened lingers in his chest, making food the last thing on his mind. Even when Jesper gently encourages him to take a bite, he can’t bring himself to swallow anything.

+1. When they return to Ketterdam, Jesper decides Wylan deserves something special. He takes him on a proper date, not to some dingy street stall but to a place that serves real, warm waffles, the kind drizzled with syrup and dusted with sugar, not the cheapest ones barely worth their price. For the first time in what feels like forever, Wylan gets to eat without worrying about money, hunger, or survival. And for once, the food in front of him isn’t just a necessity, it’s something to be enjoyed.

Chapter 24: Hair routine

Chapter Text

Jesper takes his hair very seriously, he has a carefully crafted routine that keeps it looking effortlessly perfect. From the right shampoos to just the right amount of product, every step is intentional, and he wouldn’t dream of skipping a single one. His hair is always stylish and exactly how he wants it.

Meanwhile, Wylan couldn’t care less about his hair. He uses whatever shampoo he can find, and his hair is usually a chaotic mess, with his curls barely visible beneath the untamed waves.

Jesper decides it’s time for a change. Determined to help, he buys a whole collection of hair products, ranging from creams to oils, all with one goal in mind, to make Wylan’s hair soft to the touch and his curls more defined, bringing out their natural shape.

At first, Wylan is skeptical, rolling his eyes as Jesper excitedly explains each product, but he reluctantly lets him go through with it. The process takes longer than Wylan expected, Jesper washes, conditions, applies creams, and carefully scrunches his hair to encourage the curls. By the end of it, Wylan’s hair feels softer than it ever has, and his curls are more defined than he’s ever seen them. Jesper grins proudly, running his fingers through Wylan’s hair with satisfaction. And Wylan must admit it was worth it.

Chapter 25: Kerch courtship

Notes:

I love Kerch men

Chapter Text

Wylan is ready to propose to Jesper, but before popping the question, he wants to court him firs. However in Kerch, where love is often overshadowed by business and wealth, Wylan’s approach is less about grand romantic gestures and more about practical investments and financial security.

Jesper completely misreads the situation. As Wylan showers him with what seem like formal business offers and discussions of financial partnerships, Jesper starts to panic. He becomes convinced that Wylan isn’t planning a future together but rather preparing to end their romantic relationship and transition into a strictly professional one.

Confused and frustrated, Jesper turns to their friends for advice, only to find that none of them can quite make sense of Wylan’s behavior. None, that is, except for Kaz—who immediately understands exactly what Wylan is doing but chooses to keep that knowledge to himself.

Chapter 26: Bomb plans

Notes:

I miss David...
A little spolier of Rules of Wolves :v

Chapter Text

What if David had never died?

Imagine him traveling to Ketterdam alongside Nikolai and Zoya, getting the chance to embrace his inner genius with Wylan. The two of them could spend hours geeking out over intricate bomb designs and combining their brilliance.

Chapter 27: Loved by dance

Chapter Text

Three times Wylan danced with someone he loved and one time he didn’t.

1. With his mother as a child
2. With Jesper in the kitchen
3. With Plumje, his stepsister

1+. With his father

Chapter 28: Family

Notes:

I didn't have idea for Matthias T-T

Also additionally notes are here to explain better my thought process :v

Chapter Text

5 times Wylan talked about family members with Crows and one time he told them about his father.

1. Pets - Matthias (Matthias talks about Trassel, while Wylan mentions the stray animals he used to feed and Alys's pets)
2. Cousins - Inej (Wylan brings up his maternal cousins, whom he used to see from time to time before his mother "passed away")
3. Stepmother - Nina (Nina talks about Zoya, who became a motherly figure to her)
4. Siblings - Kaz
5. Mother - Jesper

+1 Father (potentially it could be a conversation with Kuwei)

Chapter 29: The Sims 3

Notes:

Jesper-centric idea but it was too good to leave it for myself

Also The Sims 3 is the best <3

Chapter Text

In his free time, Jesper plays The Sims 3 and has recreated everyone in the game. When Inej caught him doing it, she ended up getting hooked too.

Chapter 30: Next to normal

Notes:

Next to normal is my new obsession so I had to write an idea inspired by it :v

Also yeah I'm still alive!

Chapter Text

Jesper and Wylan are together and happily married. They have a beautiful family with their adopted daughter, everything seems perfect. But there's one problem. Wylan died ten years ago. Jesper still can’t accept that his other half is gone. He constantly imagines the life they could have had, picturing Wylan by his side, alive and full of joy. Meanwhile, their daughter is pushed into the background, and Jesper’s friends are doing everything they can to help him finally let Wylan go.

Chapter 31: Actor AU

Notes:

If anyone is interested, I made a Six of Crows animation ! Even though I lost motivation quickly, it's not that bad (at least I hope so)

Chapter Text

Wylan has been in the acting industry since childhood. His father is a well-known director, and his mother was a brilliant and famous actress until she tragically died in an accident on set. His father never saw him as perfect and neglected him, choosing instead to focus on his career. As a result, Wylan experienced many terrible things on film sets and was often treated unfairly.

Over the years, he became a famous actor, thanks to both his undeniable talent and the reputation of his father. However, although acting once fascinated him, he’s long since lost the joy it used to bring. What truly captivates him now is film music and the behind the scenes aspects of filmmaking.

Jesper is just starting out in the acting world. Until now, he’s mostly performed in theater or played minor roles in films. But thanks to Kaz, his manager, he’s landed a major opportunity. A role in a film directed by Jan Van Eck.

At the film’s party, Jesper meets Wylan. He doesn’t have a great opinion of him or his father. When Wylan tells Jesper that he doesn’t belong here, Jesper instantly dislikes him even more. But Wylan, knowing exactly what his father is like, only meant to warn Jesper. He sees in Jesper the passion that once burned in him but has since died. Unfortunately, he expressed it poorly.

Despite the rocky start, the tension between them slowly begins to shift. Forced to work side by side, they begin to see each other in a new light.

Chapter 32: Mothers

Chapter Text

What if the stories of Jesper and Wylan's mothers switched places slightly.

Aditi never died but was abducted for being a Zowa. Jesper’s father knows the truth about her disappearance but is also convinced like Jesper that she is dead so he did not tell his son the truth.

Marya was never confined to Saint Hilde but was killed saving her son from an assassination attempt. Wylan frequently visits her grave, haunted by the suspicion that her death was no random attack.

Chapter 33: The Artist and the Prince

Notes:

I got this idea listing to "French Girls - Dova Cameron"

Chapter Text

Though born into royalty, Wylan was never the son his father had hoped for. When he reached adulthood, the king Jan Van Eck III disinherited him and denied him any claim to the throne. Having long vanished from the public eye, Wylan’s absence went largely unnoticed, many had even forgotten he existed. Yet beyond the palace walls, fortune favored him. He began taking commissions as a painter, and his talent soon earned him both renown and admiration. Nobles and the wealthy alike sought his portraits and artistic whims. Among them was Prince Jesper Llewellyn Fahey, heir to the throne of Novyi Zem.

Chapter 34: Kylan coworkers

Notes:

Can be read as platonic or romantic pairing :v

Chapter Text

Kaz works for Van Eck & Co., a rival firm to Pekka Rollins’s empire. Years ago, Rollins ruined his brother, forcing him into bankruptcy and trapping him in a dishonest contract that ultimately destroyed him. Now, Kaz is determined to get revenge. When whispers of a secret alliance between Van Eck and Rollins began to surface, Kaz embedded himself in Van Eck’s company, hoping to uncover the truth. For months, he found nothing but when he finally found evidence he he began to implement a plan to destroy Pekka Rollins and Jan Van Eck.

Wylan, on the other hand, is trapped working for his father, held in place by a contract he was forced into signing. His father had promised the contract would grant him the power and resources to help his mother. However Wylan's inability to read made it impossible to understand the terms, and his father took full advantage of that.

When Wylan catches Kaz sneaking through his father’s office, the two strike a deal, Wylan will help Kaz expose Van Eck and Pekka, and Kaz will help Wylan break free from the contract binding him.

As the partnership unfolds, Kaz discovers that Wylan is far from a sheltered rich boy, he’s inventive, intelligent, and stronger than he seems. And Wylan starts to see that beneath Kaz’s ruthless exterior is someone capable of loyalty, and maybe even something like care. With each passing day, a subtle but powerful bond begins to form between them.

Chapter 35: Fanfiction

Notes:

A little Jesper centric BUT Wylan is still important :v

Chapter Text

In his free time, Jesper enjoys writing stories just for himself. Most are short and unfinished, little bursts of imagination that never go anywhere. But one story pulls him in. In it, the hero rescues a beautiful boy from a cruel and controlling father. Jesper pours his heart into the narrative filling the boy’s past with pain, strange habits, and scattered details he once made up with Nina. The boy’s mother, long thought dead, secretly lives on, a quiet reflection of Jesper’s own dreams.. On the other hand the hero is everything Jesper wishes he could be.

But everything changes when Jesper wakes up one day inside the world he created, living as the hero himself. And when he meets Wylan, the beautiful boy he dreamed into being, Jesper begins to fall for him. Determined to give Wylan the happy ending he deserves, Jesper takes it upon himself to finish the story. Along the way, he struggles to live up to the hero he once imagined.

Chapter 36: One night or forever

Chapter Text

Jesper had never been in a real relationship. His love life was a string of one night stands. Always casual, fleeting, but still consensual and satisfying for both sides. He never stayed long enough to get hurt, and never let anyone close enough to matter.

Wylan, on the other hand, had been in several relationships, each one starting with charm and promise, only to unravel into something toxic. Again and again, he found himself with someone who seemed kind at first and turned out to be a total asshole. He had learned the hard way that love didn't always mean safety.

So when Jesper and Wylan meet, neither of them expects anything lasting. But something about the other feels different this time.

Chapter 37: Lamb and wolf

Notes:

Thank you for 55 kudos!!! I didn't even realise when it happend ^^"

Chapter Text

Modern AU
Wylan and Matthias were the last to join the friend group. Everyone liked them, but they often felt left out of the inside jokes and old stories they hadn’t been part of. It wasn’t that the others meant to exclude them - it just happened. Over time, the feeling of standing on the outside looking in started to weigh on them both.

One evening, while talking it over just between themselves, they realized they had more in common than they’d thought. From then on, they started collecting little jokes and stories that were theirs alone.

And while the old jokes still made them feel like outsiders sometimes, they also began making new memories with their friends. However one of their favorite inside jokes between two of them was about giving each other nicknames "lamb" and "wolf". And whenever the others didn’t get it, made it just funnier.

Chapter 38: Dance competition

Notes:

Got this idea when listing to "Hard Drive - Griffinilla"

Chapter Text

Jesper and Wylan are both professional dancers. Normally, Wylan dances with Inej and Jesper with Nina, but disaster strikes just before the biggest dance competition in the world—Inej breaks her leg, and Nina finds out she’s pregnant. With no time to find new partners, Wylan and Jesper are forced to team up. Neither of them is thrilled about it.

Years ago, they were more than just dance partners. Unfortunately they fell apart under the weight of jealousy, stubborn pride, and unspoken fears. Harsh words were said, trust was broken and their breakup was far from peaceful.

Now, every rehearsal is full of sharp remarks, stubborn pride, and glances that linger just a second too long. To make things even more complicated, they’ll be the first same-sex pair to compete at this level—a fact that only adds pressure. Somewhere between the late-night practices and heated arguments, they start sleeping together again. They tell themselves it’s just about stress relief, but old feelings start to resurface, stronger than before.

By the time they step onto the championship stage, all that anger, longing, and raw emotion fuels their performance. The way they moved together was breathtaking and when the final note fades, they know they’ve won more than the competition.

Chapter 39: Drug crisis

Notes:

TW: mentioned death, drug use

Chapter Text

Modern/University AU
Wylan and Kuwei started making drugs on a small scale—mostly to earn quick money and test their skills with chemicals, but never intending to cause real harm. One day by accident, they create jurda parem, a substance that at first seems harmless and quickly gained popularity. People treat it like any other drug at first, but it doesn’t take long for the nightmare to begin. Users start getting sick. Then the deaths started.

Wylan and Kuwei spiral into panic. They stop sleeping, barely eat, and spend every moment frantically trying to develop an antidote. Each day brings fresh reports—more sickness, more deaths—and the weight of it is crushing them. The rest of the crew can tell something’s wrong, but Wylan and Kuwei keep the truth buried. Only Kaz seems to suspect the real reason behind their sleepless nights and haunted looks.

Everything falls apart when one of Nina’s friends dies from the drug. Wylan finally breaks completely, collapsing in guilt and panic, repeating over and over, “I’m so sorry, we didn’t know it would end like this.” Jesper tries to calm him down, but he’s shaken too, struggling to put the pieces together like the others. From that moment, the whole crew steps in to help, but trust is fractured. No one can look at Wylan or Kuwei the same way.

Finally, after endless nights and failed attempts, they manage to create something they believe might work. They argue about how to test it without drawing suspicion—after all, the truth about jurda parem’s origin is still their darkest secret. But before anyone can stop him, Wylan, eaten alive by guilt, takes the drug himself to test antidote on himself. The others are furious and terrified. If the cure doesn’t work, Wylan will die.

Chapter 40: Rammstein

Chapter Text

Modern AU
To everyone’s surprise, Wylan turns out to be a huge metal fan—despite the fact that he mostly plays classical music on his flute. So when the group once sat around swapping favorite songs, everyone fully expected him to pull out something soft and sweet, maybe a Taylor Swift's song. Instead, Wylan proudly showed off his favorite band, Rammstein.

Chapter 41: Burning flute

Notes:

A new chapter the next day and one of the longer one at that!!! I'm spoiling y'all :v

TW: Mentioned dead mother, Burns, Jan fucking Van Eck being cruel

Chapter Text

Modern AU
The whole crew had been planning for months to go to a concert they’d waited for forever—the kind where getting tickets felt almost impossible. Two days before the show, they were hanging out together when Wylan’s phone rang. He picked up, only to hear his father’s cold voice on the other end. Jan told him he had to be at an important dinner with some influential guests the same night as the concert—no excuses.

Wylan felt trapped. He didn’t want to anger his father, but he also didn’t want to let his friends down again. Too many times before, he’d missed out on nights like this because Jan demanded it, and one of those times had even ended in a huge fight with Jesper. With everyone watching him, laughing and planning the night, the pressure finally broke him. He told his father “No.” Jan’s rage spilled through the phone, but Wylan hung up and turned it off. He knew exactly what was waiting for him later, but for once, he chose himself. When he came back to the group and they asked who had called, he mumbled “no one important,” though Kaz shot him a suspicious look.

The concert was incredible. They laughed, screamed the lyrics, and for a few hours Wylan felt free. But when they got back to the apartment, the high faded fast. Wylan realized he’d left his flute—his mother’s flute, the last thing she’d given him—back at his father’s house. He must have forgotten to pack it when he’d been forced to stay there a few days earlier. His heart sank. He had to get it back.

Matthias offered to drive him and wait outside. Wylan agreed, hoping it would be quick and his father wasn't at home at this time. At the house, Wylan slipped inside quietly but his father was there. Jan barely let him get a word out before he started yelling—about disrespect, shame, wasted opportunities. Wylan just stood there and took it, until he managed to stammer that he only came for the flute. That made Jan pause—then, with a look that made Wylan’s blood run cold, he picked up the box with the flute inside, walked to the fireplace, and tossed it in.

Wylan lunged to save it, burning his hands badly in the flames. Jan only watched, muttered something cruel, and walked away as if nothing had happened.

Outside, Matthias, growing worried that Wylan was taking so long, was about to go check when Wylan finally came out. He climbed into the car, eyes distant, hands blistered and shaking, clutching the half-burned box, his hands. Matthias tried to ask what happened, but all Wylan said, voice small and shaking, was “Just… please drive. Let’s go home.”, On the way back, Matthias messaged the others that something was wrong.

Back at the apartment, Wylan couldn’t hold it together anymore. Nina carefully treated the burns on his hands while the rest tried to comfort him. Without a word, they could all guess what had happened, the burned flute case said it all, and they knew Jan Van Eck was capable of such cruelty. After a while, Wylan managed to explain what happened, his voice cracking as he spoke about why his father had been so furious. Jesper felt a wave of guilt. If only he hadn’t pushed so hard for Wylan to come to the concert—maybe then he wouldn’t have lost the last thing he had left of his mother.

The next few days, Wylan barely spoke. But Jesper couldn’t stand to see him like that. Quietly, he took what was left of the flute to a specialist, paid whatever it cost to restore it, and spent hours fixing up the box himself until it looked almost as it used to. When he gave it back to Wylan, carefully wrapped and whole again, Wylan stared at it for a long moment. As Wylan traced his fingers over the restored flute, a tremor of relief crossed his face.

Chapter 42: Older

Notes:

Important announcement!
This month I will be posting new ideas every two days!!!!!

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Everyone’s crammed into a noisy bar on a mission to get information out of a senior Stadwatch officer- one of the old guard, pushing fifty, tough to crack.

To everyone’s surprise, it’s Wylan who steps up and he’s good at it. Turns out, he’s got plenty of practice charming older men, a fling with his private tutor, years of navigating stiff dinners surrounded by his father’s well-connected guests at endless parties. He learnined exactly what to say and how to say it to keep them entertained and eager to talk.

In no time, he has the officer laughing, leaning closer, and letting slip far more than he should.

Chapter 43: Daydreaming

Chapter Text

Roommates AU

Wylan and Jesper have only recently become roommates. Pretty quickly, Wylan discovers something unexpected about Jesper, he reads books out loud every single night. There’s nothing strange about loving books—except the wall between their bedrooms is thin. So every night, like clockwork, Wylan finds himself drifting off to Jesper’s voice, spinning new adventures until he falls asleep.

At first, it’s just background noise until Wylan’s imagination takes over. He starts picturing himself and Jesper as the main characters in every story.

1. Heist adventure - They pull off the impossible heist at the Ice Court, a job no one else would dare attempt but together, they’re unstoppable.
2. Horror - They’re huddled together in a dark, haunted house, hearts pounding as something creaks in the shadows.
3. Fantasy - Jesper wields magic while Wylan brews enchanted potions, defending each other against dragons and dark magic.
4. Murder mystery - They’re an unstoppable detective duo, pressed close together in cramped offices as they chase down clues.
5. Romance - They’re true soulmates, and despite all the odds stacked against them, they somehow still find their way to a happy ending.

One morning, after a particularly vivid fake scenario from Jesper’s latest romantic novel, Wylan stumbles sleepily into the kitchen and, without thinking, he mumbles, “Morning, love” to Jesper. The word slips out so naturally that it freezes them both in place. Wylan tries to backtrack, making half-baked excuses until he blurts out the truth—about the stories, the daydreams, and how he’s fallen for Jesper for real.

Jesper just laughs, cups his face in his hands and kisses Wylan to silence him. “If you love fantasizing so much,” Jesper murmurs against his lips, “Maybe we can do a little roleplay of our own.”

Chapter 44: Honmoon

Notes:

Idea inspired by mastepice called "K-pop demon hunters"

Chapter Text

Wylan is half-human, half-demon. His mother is gone, and his demon father has spent years trying to drag him fully into the darkness and make him abandon his humanity. But Wylan still clings to his own fragile sense of morality, even though he doesn't fully comprehend it.

To finally make Wylan “useful,” his father forces him into the human world as an idol to charm people, steal their souls, sabotage the famous demon-hunting idol group Crows and destroy Honmoon, once and for all.

But living among humans awakens a part of Wylan he never truly knew. One member of Crows, Jesper, sees past his demon marks and risks everything to reach the human inside Wylan.

Chapter 45: Brick by brick

Notes:

TW: Mentioned character death

Chapter Text

Post-Book 2: Crooked Kingdom

It’s been a few years now, and in just a month, Wylan and Jesper are supposed to get married, both of them practically buzzing with excitement. Inej, Nina and Matthias also promised to come because they would not miss such an important event. The three rarely return to Ketterdam these days, so the whole crew will finally be together again after so long apart.

But one night, Kaz shows up at their door. He needs Jesper’s help for a “simple job.” Wylan hates the idea, it’s been ages since Jesper’s done any work like this, and Wylan offers to go with them, but Kaz refuses. The job drags on far longer than promised. Wylan grows more and more anxious, pacing the house until, at last, Kaz returns — bloodied, silent, and carrying Jesper’s beloved pearl-handled revolvers. Jesper is dead. Before Wylan can even process the words, Kaz sets the revolvers on a shelf and walks out, leaving him alone with the reality that the love of his life is gone. The grief is too big to hold. Wylan feels himself shatter, but underneath the heartbreak, a cold fury starts to grow. Kaz had said it would be easy. Kaz decided Wylan wasn’t needed. And now Jesper is gone because of him.

A week later, they bury Jesper. Jesper's father arrives a day before the funeral — he was supposed to come early to help with wedding plans, not to stand over his son’s grave. Wylan becomes a ghost of himself. Neither Colm nor Marya can reach him through the grief that eats him alive. Until, finally, that grief turns into a promise to destroy Kaz Brekker, brick by brick. He has money. He has power. And now he has nothing left to lose.

Quietly, relentlessly, Wylan sets about tearing Kaz’s empire apart — leaking secrets to rival gangs, pulling strings, buying loyalties out from under him. He never harms anyone who wasn’t tied to Jesper’s death. Kaz, meanwhile, grieves in his own way, after all, he’s lost another brother. But he doesn’t see how far Wylan is willing to go until it’s too late and his hold over the Barrel weakens day by day. When Kaz finally confronts Wylan, he’s thrown out of Wylan’s estate by armed guards, while Wylan watches him with a cold, empty stare. Kaz understands then. Then the rest of the group arrives to Ketterdam, still thinking they’re coming for a wedding. Inej goes to Kaz first, while Nina and Matthias head straight to Wylan. That’s when they learn the truth about Jesper. Inej sees the state Kaz is in, haunted by the loss of Jesper, but also watching his power slip through his fingers. He tells her everything — that it’s Wylan’s doing, that piece by piece, everything he built is crumbling. Inej insists they need to make things right, so together they head to Wylan’s estate.

Meanwhile, Nina and Matthias find a broken shell of a man inside the grand estate — Wylan so full of grief and cold rage they barely recognizes him. Still, he’s glad to see them. But when Inej arrives with Kaz, Wylan only lifts Jesper’s pearl-handled revolver — the one Jesper taught him how to shoot — and aims it square at Kaz. He tells him to get out. He is not welcome here.

In the end, sharp words fly between Kaz and Wylan. Inej tries to calm them both down. Nina and Matthias stand between them, desperate to stop this from ending in blood. But can they ever truly get back to what they once were?

Chapter 46: He is not here

Notes:

TW: Mentioned character death

Chapter Text

Wylan died when he was just eight years old. The loss shattered Marya, giving Jan the perfect excuse to send her away to the Church of Saint Hilde. Every adventure, every story is just a fragment of Marya’s imagination. Her way of keeping alive the son she never truly got to watch grow.

Chapter 47: Scratching habit

Notes:

TW: SH

Chapter Text

When Wylan is anxious or lost in thought, he unconsciously scratches at his arms until small cuts and raw marks appear. He doesn’t even realize he’s doing it. He just assumes the marks came from handling explosives.

Chapter 48: Makeup

Notes:

TW: Mentioned abuse

Little spoiler for next chapter ;)
It will be 3+1 story, inspired by one of the songs from SIX

Chapter Text

High school AU

All of the Crows are sitting at a table outside on the school grounds, eating lunch together on a hot day. Then Nina notices something odd on Wylan’s face. For a split second, when he turns his head, the sunlight catches it — it looks like makeup, maybe foundation, slightly smudged at the edge to reveal what suspiciously looks like a bruise. Without really thinking, Nina blurts out, "Wylan, since when do you wear makeup?"

Wylan freezes. The rest of the group quiets down, their attention now fully on him. He instinctively touches the exact spot on his face, though no one had said where it was, and when his fingers come away with a trace of foundation. His face shifts for just a moment, something close to panic flickering through his eyes.

"I-I have to go" he stammers, grabbing his bag and standing up so fast his chair scrapes the ground. Then he’s gone, disappearing into one of the buildings. The table is left in stunned silence. Nina feels guilt tugging at her chest and go check on Wylan.

She asks around, describing "a short redhead who looks like he’s about to bolt". Eventually she finds him in a bathroom, hunched over the sink. She pauses in the doorway when she sees what he’s doing, Wylan is carefully dabbing foundation over the bruise with precise, practiced strokes. It’s definitely not the first time he’s done this. When he finishes, checks his reflection — and when he turns, he sees Nina standing there.

For a moment, neither of them says a word. The silence buzzes with all the things they’re not saying. Finally, Wylan whispers, "Please don’t tell anyone".

Nina hesitates. She wants to respect his boundaries, but the way he's handled the makeup and his behavior tells her something is wrong. Despite this, she promises him discretion and that he can count on her just as much as the rest of them.

Chapter 49: All you wanna do

Notes:

TW: Grooming

Idea inspired by "All You Wanna Do" from musical SIX

Also I read "Rule of wolves" long time ago so i might remember some things wrong about Rasmus :v

Chapter Text

3 times someone took advantage of Wylan and 1 time he got honest connection

1. Music tutor – A charming, older man who seemed to genuinely care about Wylan and his talent. But behind every compliment and lingering touch was manipulation. He saw Wylan not as a student, but as someone easy to use for his own pleasure.

2. His Father’s Assistant – Van Eck’s right-hand man, responsible for running business operations in his absence. Wylan helped him occasionally, but mostly, they had an affair that felt thrilling at first. But eventually, it became clear that he had only pursued Wylan in hopes of gaining access to confidential information, a leverage to potentially blackmail Van Eck. As soon he realised Wylan didn't know anything he dropped the act and ended their “romance”.

3. The Arranged Marriage to Prince Rasmus Grimjer – A political alliance, forged between Kerch and Fjerda. Neither Wylan nor Rasmus wanted it, and the prince’s cold demeanor promised nothing close to love. But during tense diplomatic meetings, Wylan discovered they shared a fascination with invention. For a moment, it felt like a connection. Until he realized Rasmus had only ever cared about exploiting Wylan’s creativity. His designs had been used in machines that harmed Grisha. His brilliance had been weaponized.

+1 Jesper – One of Prince Rasmus’s guards. He and Wylan quickly became close, often talking when the prince was away. Wylan began to fall for him, only to discover Jesper was a Ravkan spy, embedded in the palace to steal secrets and gather intel. Wylan felt betrayed yet again. When Wylan confronted him, Jesper didn’t deny it. Instead, he apologized and confessed that his feelings had been real. In the end, Jesper offered to help Wylan escape from Fjerda, promising he’d be safe in Ravka. Wylan agreed after thinking about it but his trust was still broken. Jesper, however, was ready to do everything he could to earn it back.

Chapter 50: Innocent angel

Notes:

Chapter 50 is here!
Wow I didn't' expect to write so many different ideas xd

Chapter Text

The whole crew is trying to get information from the Dime Lions’ second-in-command, who’s lounging in a bar surrounded by other gang members. But every attempt they make fails. Their faces are too recognizable. No one can get close enough. No one, except Wylan. Still, none of them want Wylan to try. Thinking he’s too innocent for a job like this.

But when Wylan notices their target getting up, walking straight past their table, he decides to seize the moment. He rises from his seat, drink in hand, and “accidentally” bumps into one of the Dime Lions just as he passes. The drink spills all over the guy’s shirt. Wylan immediately stammers apologies, eyes wide with embarrassment, playing the part of a flustered, oblivious boy who didn’t even see him coming.

The man looks at the Crows sitting at the table and thinks that Kaz probably blackmailed the poor kid to do something. Also he sees a cute, harmless-looking boy and decides it's not worth getting mad at him. With a shrug, he waves it off and offers to buy Wylan a replacement drink and invites him over to table with other Dime Lions.

Wylan flashes a shy, grateful smile and walks after him. When he glances back at his stunned friends, he gives them a look that says plainly “Not so innocent now, am I?”

Chapter 51: 7 minutes in hell

Notes:

TW: Panic attack

Chapter Text

Modern/University AU

Wylan ends up getting roped into a game of Seven Minutes in Heaven. He’s lost track of Nina—the reason why he came to the party —and before he can slip away, a group of strangers is already urging him to join. Not wanting to make a scene, he gives in. The only vaguely familiar face in the room is Jesper, though they’ve never actually spoken before.

Eventually, the bottle lands on Wylan and Jesper. There’s just one problem, Wylan has claustrophobia.

They’re pushed into a dark closet and locked in, laughter echoing behind the door. At first, Jesper cracks a few light jokes, assuming Wylan is just awkward and uncomfortable. But when Wylan starts to really panic Jesper quickly realizes this is something else entirely. He tries to calm him down, his tone shifting, gentle and focused, as Wylan spirals into a full-blown panic attack.

After seven tense, overwhelming minutes, the door finally creaks open. Wylan bolts out without a word, barely hearing the laughter trailing behind him. Jesper follows close behind, shooting a death glare at the others before gently guiding Wylan out to the terrace for fresh air.

Chapter 52: Jealousy

Notes:

TW: Child abuse

Chapter Text

High School AU

Wylan has a massive crush on Jesper. Jesper was the first person to talk to him on his first day of school, the one who brought him into their friend group, the one who helped him start believing in his own abilities. Jesper quickly became the person who made Wylan forget about the violence waiting for him at home.

But when Kuwei starts spending more and more time with Jesper, Wylan feels like that fragile happiness is slipping away.

One day during lunch, Kuwei corners him under the pretense of asking for help with a chemistry assignment. But the conversation shifts, and Kuwei starts provoking him, making sly comments about Jesper, how attractive he is, how he’s probably an amazing kisser. Wylan snaps. Fueled by anger and frustration, he punches Kuwei. Before the situation escalates further, a teacher steps in. Kuwei is sent to the nurse’s office, and Wylan is dragged to the principal’s office and given detention. His father is notified. That night at home is hell.

Things aren’t much better at school. Rumors about the incident spread quickly. His friends try to support him at first, but Wylan refuses to talk about it—refuses to explain why he did it. Because Wylan won’t open up, and his irritation toward Kuwei remains obvious—while Kuwei himself admits he has no idea why Wylan hit him—his friends begin to pull away. Especially Jesper.

Piece by piece, Wylan starts losing everything. The violence at home is slowly breaking him, and without school as a safe escape, he begins to unravel. He becomes more irritable. His grades drop—he simply doesn’t have the energy to care—and that only makes his father angrier. It's a vicious cycle with no end in sight. What’s the point of trying when you have nothing left?

Kaz sees it. He sees Wylan’s temper flare more often, the way he’s beginning to spiral. And in him, Kaz sees a reflection of himself, a version he refuses to let Wylan become.

Chapter 53: You don't have all your fingers

Chapter Text

What if Wylan lost a few fingers but not the way Jesper suspected?

When he was a child, during a harsh winter, his father left him outside as punishment. The cold seeped in mercilessly, and Wylan developed severe hypothermia. He would’ve died that day if not for the housekeeper taking out the trash and finding him just in time. Still, the damage was done.

Chapter 55: Baby face

Notes:

Ok, how it is possible that Jack is almost 30?!?!? He looks like he was early 20 :0

Chapter Text

Wylan is a regular at the Crows Café. He quickly hits it off with the others during their brief chats and before long, the rest of the group "adopts" him, convinced he’s no older than eighteen. Most of them are in their twenties, so they start treating him like a sweet, slightly clueless younger brother.
The only problem? Wylan’s not actually that young. He’s just a year younger than Inej. To be fair, Wylan does have a baby face, which only adds to the illusion. He’s a bit confused by the way they treat him but he goes with the flow.

Chapter 56: Cleaning day

Chapter Text

Modern AU

Wylan is put in charge of deep-cleaning the entire apartment. Something he’s never done in his life. But it can't be that hard. Right?

Disaster strikes the moment he’s left alone on cleaning duty. He uses way too much laundry detergent, turns the floors into a sticky mess from dumping cleaning fluid without adding water, and somehow manages to make the windows look worse than before. Even the dishes come out with more streaks than they had before

By the time the others come home, Wylan is sitting in the middle of the chaos with a mop in one hand and a look of pure defeat.

Chapter 57: Brothers

Notes:

Inspired by First Meeting by Dandelion_Flowerdust but Kaz is born into Van Eck family
I love Wylan and Kaz being brothers :3

TW: Child abuse

Chapter Text

Kaz was the perfect heir to the Van Eck name. Jan adored him, boasted about him, took him everywhere like a prized possession. Then Wylan was born—his younger brother—but their mother died during childbirth.

At first, Wylan was also cherished and spoiled. But once it became clear he couldn’t read, everything changed. Jan already had his heir. He had no use for what he saw as a defective, useless child. He simply stopped caring.

Kaz, raised to uphold the Van Eck legacy, spent most of his time with tutors or traveling on business trips with their father. Slowly, even he begins to internalize Jan’s cruel words. He starts to see Wylan not as a brother, but as a burden.

Wylan spent most of his days alone, desperately trying to prove he was worth something to his father, to his brother, to anyone.

But everything changed when Kaz walked in on Jan hitting ten-year-old Wylan. The boy was crying but still looked up at his father with something like love. As if even this cruel attention was better than being invisible. Something shifts in Kaz. He realizes he has to protect his brother.

He started making plans how to escape, how to survive, how to raise Wylan far away from their father reach. He also made an effort to spend more time with Wylan, and quickly realized just how wrong their father had been. Wylan wasn’t broken. He was brilliant.

The plan took longer to come together than Kaz hoped. There were still too many things missing to ensure good plan. But then he overheard Jan talking about sending Wylan away permanently. That was it. No more time to waste.

The next day, Kaz ran, taking Wylan with him. He had no idea how they would manage, no guarantee of safety, but he swore to himself one thing, he would take care of his brother. Whatever it took.

Chapter 58: Office bitch

Notes:

Idea inspired by "Boss Bitch - Doja Cat"

Also thank you so much for 100 kudos!!!! <3

Chapter Text

Everyone works in a corporate office where the CEO is Jan Van Eck, and his son, Wylan, holds a very high-ranking position. Wylan mainly deals with finances and money management, but he often oversees the department where the rest of the team works as well.

Wylan is cold, avoids small talk, and regularly corrects others on how things should be done. No one particularly likes him — especially since some of his responsibilities, like reading and replying to stacks of documents, often fall onto others. But no one dares to complain, since he’s above them and, more importantly, the CEO’s son.

One day, during a meeting, someone starts criticizing Jesper’s work, complaining that he’s always distracted. Jesper braces himself, sure Wylan is about to fire him. But instead, Wylan coldly turns to the accuser and points out that Jesper is fulfilling all his responsibilities, unlike them. Then adds that the deduction for their underperformance will be reflected in their next paycheck. When the employee protests, Wylan calmly replies “Give me one good reason not to fire you on the spot. And for the record, your performance’s already been reported.”

After the meeting, Jesper catches up with Wylan and asks why he stood up for him. Wylan simply says he knew Jesper had ADHD when he hired him and that it doesn’t surprise him that Jesper sometimes gets distracted, as long as the work gets done.

Jesper — and eventually also his friends — start to realize that maybe Wylan isn’t so bad after all. He’s competent, fair, and knows what he’s doing. Even if he can still be frustrating as hell.

Chapter 59: Military AU

Notes:

Tbh I dont know much about military so sorry for any mistakes :v

Also i have like 10 more WIPs so expect new chapters!

Chapter Text

Wylan was sent to military school by his father, to finally make a man out of him. From the very first day, it’s hell. He's never been the type of person who enjoys strenuous physical training, and it doesn’t take long before he becomes the punching bag for the others. Then, without warning, war is declared. Even the half-trained cadets are sent to the front lines. Wylan knows he’s walking to his death. That he’ll die and no one will remember him, no one will shed a tear.

On his first day at the front, he meets Matthias — a soldier who not only commands his unit but also becomes a steady presence for Wylan in moments of weakness.

He meets Nina, a field medic thrown into the role due to a shortage of trained healers. Treating injuries isn’t her specialty, but she works tirelessly. In the moments when she’s bandaging him, they talk about anything and everything. This small conversations give Wylan a welcome escape from the horrors around them.

One night, escaping the suffocating air of his tent after another nightmare, he stumbles upon Inej. She’s a spy gathering enemy secrets, and a brief exchange with her plants a fragile seed of hope in him.

On the battlefield, he’s saved from certain death by a single, precise shot from Jesper. From that moment, they fight side by side, inseparable in both the chaos of the front lines and moments of calm.

Lastly, he meets Kaz — a young man who quickly earned the respect of high command. Kaz is the one planning operations to weaken the enemy through cunning rather than brute force. During a war council, when others scoff at the idea, Kaz assigns Wylan a key role in their next mission. He sees something in Wylan no one else does. He sees more than a weak, quiet boy.

The plan is deceptively simple, detonate a target that will trigger a chain reaction of explosions, collapsing a crucial enemy advantage. Every step unfolds perfectly. Wylan, Matthias, Nina, Inej, Jesper, and Kaz work in sync, each move calculated, each breath measured. Until the detonator failed. Their only real chance to end the war slips away in seconds. As the others argue over what to do next, Wylan realizes what went wrong. Chemistry has always been something he know, and a detonator was just another kind of equation.. While the others were arguing, Wylan slipped away toward the detonator.

He knows there’s a good chance he won’t make it back. But this time, it’s different. This time, he has people worth fighting for. And if he dies, there will be those who remember him. Those who will mourn him.

Chapter 60: Just a normal fan

Notes:

Inspired by "fanfiction - Lor" (I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH <3)

TW: Stalking, Obsessive behavior

Chapter Text

Stalker Wylan x Famous Jesper

Wylan is an obsessive fan of Jesper. He saw him smiling at a performance at a bar one day, and he was no longer feeling lonely—and from then on, nothing in his life mattered except Jesper. He paints portraits of him, imagines the life they could have together, knows EVERYTHING there is to know about him. He’s followed Jesper’s career for years, convincing himself that Jesper understands the special bond between them . He's convinced that they’re meant to be. Jesper does recognize him, but only because Wylan always turns up to meet-and-greets, in VIP zones at concerts etc.

And at the end of the day, Wylan may no longer be rich boy, but when he wants something, he gets it. He already lost every last bit of his dignity.

Chapter 61: Pet names

Notes:

POLY CROWS! POLY CROWS! POLY CROWS!

Chapter Text

Wylan loves it when his partners use sweet pet names for him in their native languages. Kaz, however, finds it mildly irritating—after all, he and Wylan are both Kerch, so it feels pointless to do the same. But it turns out that endearments in their own tongue, like "treasure", "precious", "gem" etc. affect Wylan even more than any foreign words ever could.

Chapter 62: Secret admirer

Notes:

Expect a new chapter tomorrow ;>

Chapter Text

Jesper had taken his new date to the theater to see a musical—he couldn’t even remember which one. What he did remember was the actor who stole his attention completely, breathtakingly beautiful, with a voice that seemed to pour straight into the soul, and a performance so captivating it was impossible to look away. From that night on, Jesper found himself returning to the theater far more often than he ever imagined, always with flowers in hand and a note tucked between the stems to deliver them anonymously. It didn’t take long for him to learn the actor’s name, Wylan. A celebrated performer with a shelf full of awards. That only deepened Jesper’s admiration, though it also stirred a quiet insecurity, "How could someone like him ever be worthy of someone like that?"

What Jesper doesn’t know, however, is that he, too, has caught Wylan’s attention and the actor has been trying to uncover the identity of his secret admirer.

Chapter 63: Parched merchling

Notes:

Why is it so hot outside??? T-T
Also more poly Crows!!!

Chapter Text

Modern AU

All six go abroad for their first vacation together. Wylan is especially thrilled because he has never left rainy Kerch.

He joins Nina and Inej at the beach, swimming a little but mostly basking in the sun. No one predicted that even with sunscreen, Wylan would end up horribly sunburned. By the time the girls return to the hotel with a stunning tan, Wylan is bright red and sore all over.

At least his partners are quick to make sure their poor sunburnt boy is cared for.

Chapter 64: Protect the infected

Notes:

I working on two more apocalypse AU with slightly different approach :v So expect two more chapters this week

Chapter Text

Zombie AU

Jesper learned two things while surviving the zombie apocalypse. First, he, or Grisha in general, couldn’t be infected. Second, Wylan had sacrificed himself for nothing.

When they were attacked, Wylan tried to save Jesper but was badly injured and bitten. And still, it wasn’t enough—Jesper was bitten too. They spent what they believed to be their final moments together, clinging to each other. But when Wylan began to lose himself, Jesper remained perfectly fine.

Jesper wanted to die with him, rather than watch love of his life become one of the monsters. But he couldn’t let go. He couldn’t leave Wylan behind. He couldn’t kill him. Instead, he dragged what was left of Wylan across the ruined world, hoping to find the others.

After weeks of searching Jesper found them. Relief crashed over him so hard it nearly brought him to his knees. But the reunion was nothing like he’d dreamed. The moment their eyes fell on Wylan, all Jesper saw was grief and horror. To them, he was gone. Just another infected. They couldn’t understand why Jesper hadn’t killed him, why he still clung to something already lost. Keeping Wylan was a danger to them all.

Jesper knew it. He knew they were right. But he didn’t care. Maybe it was selfish, maybe it was madness but Wylan was his. And Jesper would burn the world down before he let anyone take him away.

Chapter 65: Until you get bored

Notes:

Inspired by "MIÜ ft. Zalia - dopóki się nie znüdzisz"
A little bit of toxic love for today :3
I was planning to post the new apocalypse AU chapter, but I hated how I wrote it, so I’ll be reworking it first.

Chapter Text

Wylan and Jesper officially become a couple. And while Jesper is as charming as ever—always knowing just what to say to make Wylan feel loved—deep down, he hasn’t really changed. He’s still the gambler, still drinking too much, still stumbling into trouble. Worse, he doesn’t act as if he’s truly committed to their relationship.

Wylan keeps telling himself taht it’s only a rough patch, that Jesper is only lost and will find his way eventually. But with each passing day, it becomes harder for him to keep believing it, and harder to hold the pieces of their love together. Deep down, he’s already waiting for the moment Jesper grows bored of him and walks away for someone new.

Chapter 66: Apocalypse AU

Notes:

Looks like Jespe-centric but Wylan is here :v I just really enjoy Jesper POV

I hate it's so long but believe me it's the shorter version... Ending also feels kinda flat but it was the best idea i had

Chapter Text

It had been years since the world collapsed. No one knew exactly when it started, but the endless wars and the constant use of stronger weapons had torn civilization apart. Now the world ran only on survival that was only possible in groups.

Kaz ordered Jesper to lead the raid on a newly discovered hangar stocked with medical supplies. They weren’t the only ones after it. Another group had recently been encroaching on their territory—small in number, but causing trouble all the same. The raid went smoothly at first. Smaller bands tried to interfere but were quickly killed. Then, just as Jesper was checking and securing the crates, the air filled with shouts and the thundering roar of explosions. Gas spread through the hangar, choking the breath from his lungs. He glimpsed a masked figure through the haze. He lifted his gun, but his strength faltered, and the bullet missed its mark. The last thing he remembered was that figure running toward him and someone screaming his name.

Jesper woke two days later, as a only survivor of the failed mission. He is told that When hours passed without the team returning, Inej had gone to investigate. She found the hangar littered with bodies—and Jesper unconscious with a gas mask strapped to his face. Jesper slowly recovers with lots of questions, especially why someone saved him.

A few days later, someone was caught breaking into their base. He belonged to the same group that had been plaguing Kaz, and worse—they were almost certainly responsible for the gas bombs at the hangar, since he tried to use them again when cornered. Kaz and Inej prepared to interrogate him. Jesper ignoring the medic’s warnings, insist on being also there. He had to know if this was the person who had saved his life.

The moment Jesper stepped inside, his breath caught. here, tied to a chair, sits the love of his lifehere, tied to a chair, sits Wylan. The love of his life, before the world went to hell. Without hesitation, Jesper rushes forward, tears streaking down his face. Wylan cannot return the embrace, bound as he is, but he leans his head closer, closing the distance the ropes won’t allow. Kaz and Inej watch in silence, their expressions unreadable.

Wylan later explains what happened, but only after Kaz and Inej leave the room. Wylan doesn’t trust them, they hesitate, but at Jesper’s insistence, they go.
Wylan reveals he’s part of a nearby group. They never planned to raid the hangar, it was too risky for them. But his friend Kuwei had fallen gravely ill, and only proper medicine could save him. They had spent every last weapon they had to make it happen.

He also was the one who slipped the gas mask over Jesper’s face. Wylan admits he couldn’t believe his own eyes when he saw Jesper alive. For so many years he thought he’d lost him forever. That was why he broke into their base, partly out of fear that the gas had harmed Jesper, but mostly because he needed to see him, to be sure he was real.

They don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but tonight being together is enough.

Chapter 67: Blood sacrifice

Notes:

Inspired by "Warriors - Imagine dragons"

The last of apocalypse AU I had:v

Chapter Text

Apocalypse AU

Darkling won. Although not exactly as he wanted. Most of the world now lies swallowed in his shadows but volcras have adapted. No longer confined to the pitch-black, they’ve evolved into relentless hunters, so bloodthirsty that even a single drop of blood draws them in to rip their prey apart. No one can control them. The world has collapsed into chaos.

Even the Crows barley survive every day, people fight with each other to survive, food is hard to find, ammo and first aid even more. Until one day they end up in the fight with volcras they can’t escape, there's too many of them. Jesper somehow manages to push Wylan out of a dead-end, forcing him to safety while leaving the others behind to certain death.

But Wylan can’t accept it. He can’t let them die. In a flash of desperate resolve, he seizes a shard of glass from the ground and slashes his hand deep. Blood spills, and instantly the volcras turn toward him, their frenzy locking onto the scent. His only choice now is to run as far and as fast to buy the others time.

Jesper tries to follow after him, but the others hold him back. They all know the truth. Wylan is already dead man. The only thing they can do is use the time he’s given them.

Chapter 68: Missing ring

Chapter Text

Jesper wants to propose to Wylan. He even made the ring himself and hid it away, waiting for the right moment. The problem? He completely forgot where he put it. Now he and the rest of the crew are tearing the whole house apart while Wylan is stuck in urgent council meetings.

But after hours of searching, they still come up empty-handed. But when Wylan comes home, it turns out he accidentally grabbed Jesper’s rarely-worn coat in his rush to the meeting and found little box with the ring in the pocket.

Chapter 69: The dragon's curse

Notes:

Mmmmmmm dragons

Chapter Text

Fantasty AU

Kaz, Inej, Jesper, Nina, and Matthias work as monster hunters, traveling across the country and taking on jobs both big and small. Their latest and most lucrative mission comes from the Merchant Council. Rumor has it that a strange beast has been prowling the streets of Ketterdam, stealing from its citizens. Oddly enough, it doesn’t just take food or valuables—it seems especially drawn to musical instruments, occasionally snatching paintings and other objects. Though the creature is elusive, it leaves behind claw marks and other traces.

The crew accepts the mission and, once in the city, they begin gathering information. One resident tells them that, while wandering the outskirts of Ketterdam, he heard strange music—like wind chimes and soft humming. Following their only lead, the group heads there the next day.

They discover a cave, and to their surprise, the entrance is covered with countless wind chimes swaying in the breeze. It’s an odd sign for a monster’s lair, but it’s the only clue they have. Expecting a minor threat, they enter cautiously, only to be met with something far beyond their expectations. Inside the cavern, surrounded by piles of stolen instruments and glittering trinkets, sits a dragon. He’s small for his kind, though still larger than any of them, his scales shimmering like molten flame. In his claws he holds a flute, turning it over with fascination. When he notices the hunters, he doesn’t attack, instead, he flinches back, watching them warily. An awkward silence falls, until the dragon raises the flute and asks quietly, “Do you know what this does?”

The hunters exchange uneasy glances. The creature’s eyes hold not malice, but confusion. As they speak with him, they realize this dragon, who calls himself Wylan, is not dangerous at all. He admits he remembers nothing of his past. He steals only because certain objects seem to pull at him, as if they hold pieces of something he’s lost. His behavior is far too human for a beast.

After a debate, the group decides not to slay him, but to help uncover the truth. Days turn into weeks as they spend time with Wylan, growing strangely fond of him. Slowly, fragments of memory return to him but never of himself. Then they discover a disturbing lead. The missing son of one of the very merchants who hired them shares Wylan’s name, and was once known for his love of art and music.

Piece by piece, the truth comes to light. Jan Van Eck had wanted to rid of his son and hired a dark sorcerer to do it. But the spell didn’t go as planned — it turned Wylan into a dragon, stripping him of his memories. Displeased with this outcome, Van Eck simply considered the boy lost. When news spread of a “monster” haunting Ketterdam, he connected the dots and sought to finish the job once and for all.

However, Van Eck hadn’t counted on the hunters uncover the truth and helping Wylan reclaim his humanity. The real monster was never the dragon, but Jan Van Eck himself.

Chapter 70: Dangerous habit

Chapter Text

Wylan bites his nails—a habit he picked up since arriving in the Barrel to help managing his nerves. He tries to be careful but sometimes traces of chemicals cling beneath his nails, unnoticed. Little by little, he begins to feel weaker and he cannot understand what's happening.

Chapter 71: Shu face

Chapter Text

What if Wylan was forever trapped wearing Kuwei’s face?

Even though Genya is fantastic in alter appearances, what Nina done on parem could never truly be undone.

Chapter 72: VTuber

Notes:

My friend today has her VTuber redebute so I got a lot of fun writing this idea. I'm super excited for her (and also I made her model, I didn' rig it tho, and some smaller things so I also excited to see people reactions to my hours of work)

Chapter Text

Since childhood, Wylan had spent countless hours on Twitch. He loved the platform, it gave him a sense of belonging, and through it he made friends he never could have found in real life. But when his father threw him out and he needed money, Wylan turned to streaming himself. At first, only niche communities knew of him, but he quickly built a loyal circle of viewers who kept coming back.

His calm and relaxing streams became a quiet sensation. Knowing he couldn’t use a face cam—he valued his privacy too much—he designed and built his own 2D model. That decision changed everything. Overnight, Wylan became known as one of the rising male VTubers, and for the first time in his life, things began to look up. His channel grew, the donations poured in, and soon he had enough money to finally pursue his dream, enrolling in prestigious music school.

Even as his streaming career flourished, real life gave him new friends. For the first time, Wylan wasn’t just connected through a screen. Yet he didn’t know how to tell them about the double life he lived, or why he always mysteriously couldn't hang out on certain nights. What he didn’t realize was that one of those new friends—Jesper—was already closer to his secret than anyone else. Jesper was his top donator. He had recognized the voice for weeks, maybe months, but still couldn't quite connect the dots.

Chapter 73: Missing flame

Notes:

Very short but with happy ending :D

Chapter Text

Kuwei and Wylan are in a relationship, but lately things have been falling apart—something is missing between them. Then they meet Jesper. Both find themselves drawn to him, and though their rivalry over his attention is full of frustration and jealousy, it unexpectedly reignites the spark in their own bond. In the end, it turns out Jesper feels the same way about them both. Together, they discover the missing piece their relationship had been lacking.

Chapter 74: Forgotten son

Notes:

Inspired by "New money" from musical The Great Gatsby

I was thinking about something. Let's pretend to be Van Eck (horrible perspective I know). Killing Wylan would be bad investition. Hear me out! He put huge amount of money for tutors and medics. So if he'd kill him he'd lost money but if he let Wylan live, he could make people forget about him AND made Wylan pay him back all the money he lost on him.

Chapter Text

What if Wylan really went to Belendt?

The semester at Belendt is coming to an end, and Wylan, though reluctant, prepares to return home. At the port, he overhears whispers of a grand auction attended by delegations from every nation and among them, his father. Curiosity wins over caution, and he arrives just in time to witness Jan Van Eck’s arrest.

The moment Van Eck lays eyes on Wylan, he immediately sees a way to turn the situation in his favor. Nobody had considered Wylan, nobody even remembered that Van Eck had a son. But since Wylan had not yet been officially disinherited — a process that was supposed to take place only after the birth of Van Eck’s new child — by law, the entire fortune and position default to him.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Crows is still far from their promised kruge, and Van Eck has found a new ace to play. Wylan, suddenly is thrust into a role that was never meant for him, finds himself at the center of a game he never intended to join.

Chapter 75: Which one?

Notes:

I just learned there was painter called Jan Van Eyck so yeah I need to use that XD
Like I saw some of his paintings but I have horrible memory for names :v
And for the sake of this idea let's pretend Van Eyck lives in the same time that Van Eck

Chapter Text

Every time Wylan is asked about his surname or his father, people get confused. They’re never sure whether he means the famous painter or the wealthy merchant. Wylan never elaborates.

Chapter 76: I don't remember but I still love

Chapter Text

With age, Wylan’s memory starts to fade. Jesper is always there, filling in the small details for him. But as the years pass, the forgetting deepens, at times Wylan doesn’t even recognize Jesper. And yet, deep in his subconscious, something remains. He paints Jesper’s again and again.

Chapter 77: Anger

Notes:

I like to think that after everything that happened in the books, Wylan would have trouble expressing his emotions in healthy way, especially anger.
Also yes I'm still alive I just start Uni soon so yeah :v

Chapter Text

Post-Book 2: Crooked Kingdom

Living once more in his childhood home, Wylan finally begins to shed the constant fear that haunted him, slowly building his confidence, especially in his new role as a member of the Merchant Council. Yet, his father’s damage has never disappear. Years of burying his emotions have left him unable to express them in a healthy way—especially his anger.

One evening, a trivial argument with Jesper sparks something darker. All the frustration Wylan has kept bottled inside boils over, and in a moment of fury he lashes out, saying things he knows will hurt Jesper deeply. Jesper doesn’t respond, he simply leaves the house in silence, leaving Wylan behind to calm down. Also his raised voice, sharp and cruel, sends Marya back to memories of Jan screaming at her. As the realization crashes down on him, Wylan feels sick with shame. He is becoming his father. He locks himself in his room for the rest of the day, crying.

That night, Jesper returns. Wylan refuses to open the bedroom door, though through broken, tear-stained apologies he begs forgiveness. At last, Jesper unlocks the door with his powers. They sit together, speaking quietly in the dark. Wylan apologizes again and again. He promises he’ll try to change, to do better, but confesses he doesn’t know if he can. Jesper listens quietly, his hand finding Wylan’s, holding on even as Wylan trembles.

Later when he apologized his mother she can't look in his eyes.

Chapter 78: Out of breath

Notes:

Just watched Hadestown slime tutorial. OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD. IT WAS SOOOOOO GOOD
Also yeah I'll TRY post new chpters more often :v

Chapter Text

Wylan damaged his lungs working in the tannery. At first, he only noticed small changes—like how quickly he became breathless after long walks—but he didn’t take it too seriously. Over time, though, constant exposure to chemicals while starting working for Kaz without proper safety equipment made things far worse. His condition steadily worsened and without the care of a skilled Healer—rare in the Barrel and far too expensive even if one could be found—the damage might soon become permanent.

Chapter 79: Mother's protection

Notes:

Happy 10th anniversary of Six of Crows everybody!!!

Chapter Text

The roles had shifted. When Wylan first began to show signs of struggling with reading, Jan said nothing to his son, but Marya could see the frustration, anger and disappointment. When he finally began speaking to her about harsh “methods” to fix their child, Marya knew she had to act before it was too late. She arranged for Jan to be committed to an asylum, and told Wylan only that his father had died. The boy was devastated—he still loved Jan, who had not yet harmed him directly—and Marya wasn’t ready to reveal the truth.

Chapter 80: Kinktober first and last chapter

Notes:

Since we have Kintober, this idea just popped into my head. Don’t expect more chapters like this though, writing it was an experience I’m not too eager to repeat :v
TW: Suggested BDSM scene

Chapter Text

Wylan and Jesper are into some very kinky stuff and trying out all sorts of things — privately, of course. No one has any idea what goes on behind their closed doors… until one day, someone accidentally walks in on them mid-scene. A huge misunderstanding follows, and chaos inevitably ensues.

Chapter 81: Dysphoria

Notes:

Trans Wylan!

Chapter Text

When she wears Kuwei’s face, something inside her breaks. She looks more like a boy and for the first time in years, she feels right. The constant discomfort, the quiet ache she never had words for, suddenly fades. But the reflection isn’t her. It’s not him either. Not yet.
