Notes:

this is discussed as being a "triptych in 9 pictures" and i decided to put each little picture as a chapter, to shorten them into slightly more manageable chunks, so the chapters I have don't perfectly line up with Prackspoor's original breakdown of them.

this fic had me in a chokehold ever since i first read it, and i hope this reading can somewhat do it justice! my recording setup and editing/character voice/other voice acting capabilities have been mildly upgraded since the last time i recorded a silm fic, so i'm hyped for this one.

alright so now i'm also attempting accents for sam and frodo. oddly enough i think they're harder to keep consistent/accurate than gollum's voice lmfao.

AND we meet ar pharazon. some of his dialog in future chapters has my skin crawling as i read it :). what an awful person. wonderfully written

also of note, check out the original author's note on this one. the two towers already HAS the duplicity. the way i read any gollum dialog or anything has been permanently altered by this fic bringing that to light. sooo fucking good.

Notes:

I started getting a little creative with what was happening with the voices at the end, and maybe a little less consistent with it than I should've been, but it was fun! Let me know if it landed or not lol.

Every podfic I record is a fun new challenge for different reasons, and this one has been SO FUN to record. I've pushed myself with my voice acting capabilities in a lot of ways with this one (accents... gollum...), and I'm proud of how it turned out!
