Work Text:
Sometimes bad things happen and we find ourselves alone in the night, outside and cold.
The world closes in, voices raise, and we feel we have no home.
But home is not a place. It is not four walls and a roof.
Home is connection.
Home is love.
Home is the bonds formed between friends and lovers.
Home is the warm embrace after a long night of darkness.
Home is the friends who persist, who reach out, and who show up.
When the world is dark, and all seems lost, home is the light and the hug, regardless of location.
