Being a human with AI capabilities was weird. But what hasn't been weird ever since she met the legends was the real question.
Filtering through her memories with magic was the strangest though. But Astra and Spooner hadn't seen all her memories, the ones she thinks about late at night now that she had to sleep. The ones that leave her with a strange warm sensation where her heart now rest.
Vivid images and sounds of Zari asking her to help her get ready and pick out outfits. The way Gideon focuses on her face as Zari applies makeup with practiced ease. The almost itch for a hand to reach out as Gideon watches her brush through long hair. Free chatting with her like she's her closest friend.
The ache to be anything but a camera in a wall when she watches Zari completely fall apart during Behrads death. Wanting to have a shoulder for Zari to lean on when the legends keep breaking her heart again.
So when Gideons finally meets back with the legends in the 1920's and Zari finally comes back from her totem trip, she sees Zari staring at her with with wonder and hopeful eyes before asking
“Do you remember me?”
When spend so much time wondering about and missing somebody the only reply Gideon can up with is
“How could I not?”
