Aragorn
✧ There’s a little hum from him as he looks up at you, “Of course.”
✧ Then he sees your hand is held out, and simply stares for a second. Smiling, he briefly looks up at you and then back to your hand before taking it.
✧ As he often does he will cover your hand fully with his, bringing it to his side.
✧ Although Aragorn doesn’t comment on it there’s a smile on his face that wasn’t there before, and he moves slightly closer to you.
Legolas
✧ Responds immediately saying that he will before waiting. It takes him a second or so to realise that you’re offering your hand to him.
✧ “Oh.”
✧ Legolas takes it, although his grip at first is slightly looser. Once you’ve been holding hands for a little while he gets more confident and grips your hand tighter.
✧ There’s definitely blush on his cheeks, if you point it out he’ll think about it for a second before grinning softly.
✧ “Can I not fall more in love with partner every day?”
✧ (As an elf he isn’t super used to this, but gets better with every hand hold.)
Gimli
✧ Reaches his hand out before even checking what you’re giving him.
✧ Only realises once his hand has enclosed around yours, and there’s nothing in it.
✧ He stares up at you for a second, running his finger over your palm to make sure he hasn’t missed anything, before letting out a laugh.
✧ Grips your hand tightly and brings into him, will stay in the handhold as long as you need.
Boromir
✧ “Anything you require.”
✧ He looks up to you, then sees your hand is empty. There’s a moment of confusion before he realises what you want him to do, eyes briefly flickering to yours as he checks this is what you want.
✧ Maintaining the eye-contact, he stoops slightly and brings your hand to his lips - giving it a brief kiss before properly holding it.
✧ “My love.”
✧ (Looks very pleased with himself if he makes you blush as well. Comes closer afterwards to give you an actual kiss.)
Pippin
✧ Also takes your hand without thinking or looking.
✧ He holds your hand a lot, so he’s already positioning his hand to be in the most comfortable position before processing what’s actually happened.
✧ Looks down to check he hasn’t accidentally dropped something before looking back up to you with a large grin.
✧ (He may just have to steal that line to use later.)
Merry
✧ “Of course, what do you-”
✧ A knowing grin appears on his face, and he briefly kisses your hand as well before holding it.
✧ Unlike Boromir, his is more obviously in jest, although there’s no less love behind the gesture
✧ He gives you a quick kiss, before saying, “You can always ask as well.”
Sam
✧ Is just going to your hand when he realises that you’re only holding your hand out.
✧ Instantly blush blossoms all over his face, but he also doesn’t waver and his hand immediately wraps around yours.
✧ There’s a moment of silence between the two of you before he gives you a smile, gently squeezing your hand.
✧ Just another one of his many ways to silently say ‘I love you’
Frodo
✧ Frodo turns to face you, “What do you need?”
✧ Then he sees your hand being held out, and a small smile forms.
✧ He’s a simple romantic at heart, only encasing your hand with his (although tightly, with a promise to not let go until you want him too).
✧ He also moves closer to you as well, only being about a hands-width apart in the end.
